The only problem with getting developers to interact with fans is the possibility of IP issues. I'm on a pen and paper game company's official site as well, and the head developers and authors limit how they communicate with the fans. One of the reasons is they don't want to get accused of stealing someone's fan-fic idea.

it's just so nice to see the months and years of femshep support finally take off. too bad that it's rare and newsworthy that fans support a strong female character, but hey, unless we push for femshep-type chars to become the norm, all we'll get is damesels in distress.

Thanks Jamie, AD, and Sage but thanks to everyone for helping in some way whether it be big or small.
I think we're slowly moving forward. I also like what they've done with the new Lara Croft and hope for more not so sexualized Fem characters in the future. She's really the only lead fem besides Hawke, FemShep, and Samus Aran that isn't what you typically see.
