it's just so nice to see the months and years of femshep support finally take off. too bad that it's rare and newsworthy that fans support a strong female character, but hey, unless we push for femshep-type chars to become the norm, all we'll get is damesels in distress.
Thanks Jamie, AD, and Sage but thanks to everyone for helping in some way whether it be big or small.
I think we're slowly moving forward. I also like what they've done with the new Lara Croft and hope for more not so sexualized Fem characters in the future. She's really the only lead fem besides Hawke, FemShep, and Samus Aran that isn't what you typically see.
yes, except for the part where lara was gasping and panting like she was in a soft pr0n vid as she fought free of the sinking ship in that demo. i found that incredibly distracting. i kept thinking, femshep would be saying, "Taking heavy fire!" like she's all pissed off about it, in that wonderful way jen hale does. then again, it IS lara's first outing in that vid game, so we'll see if the story has her toughen up.

Lots of semi nekkid ladies here it seems! You won't see Tiia in that suit for sure.
nor kyrie neither. even when she's off duty she wears things that look military. i imagine that since the alliance became her 'family' since she enlisted as soon as she could, she just does not think of clothing beyond what she must wear for armor and what she finds comfortable to go down to the mess to get a coffee.

As close as I can get for now. Jih is definitely a jeans and t-shirt girl.
(jeans and t-shirts will always be in style as far as I'm concerned. xD)

i love the three verren moon shirt!
and @ all the new sheps - okay, SO many beautiful sheps have been showing up, i'm not going to be able to quote them all, but they're AWESOME, look lovely, and yeah. custom femsheps are the BEST.
@ Jamie:
that article is great!
yay for fan pestering. the other part that hasn't been mentioned, but i still this is cool, is when @
patsquinade on twitter asked about what femshep fans wanted to see in terms of writing. the speed with which fans replied, the thoughtfulness and maturity of their feedback, and the speed with which P.Weeks replied and seemed to take all that feedback to heart was just great.
as much as there are noxious trolls out there who still do the "LOL, femshep can be on the cover of the CE if she's baking a cake" (<--that was a true comment), i think it's not just the persistence of femshep fans, but the politeness and intelligence that has worked in our favor. if i can go ahead and pat us on the back, i think we've shown we're not just trolling freaks. we're dedicated fans and we're paying customers and most of all, we have a good point: the world of video games needs more characters like femshep. bioware has a good thing going with her and they should promote her more.
and as
this awesome blog points out, it's a case of voting with dollars. i buy bioware games because they consistently have strong characters that are not male, white, or straight that are portrayed in a positive light. that is sadly SO rare in gaming. i don't get why VG companies insist on making so many games with a jr. high homophobic, racist, mysogynsitic mentality when a lot of us paying gamers don't want that stuff.
at least bioware has been consistently leading the pack elsewhere, and i'm glad they're still willing to take a risk and go even further than the rest of the industry is willing to go.
