And I thought the Tomb Raider gameplay trailer was as unsexy as you could get. The only thing that felt wierd about it (and it always feels wierd to me, no matter what game it is... actually, the Arrival DLC caused this same feeling) is when she's talking to herself out loud unnecessarily. Saying "I've got to get out of here" several times is a bit too much. Yes, we know you have to get out of here. You know you have to get out of here. Perhaps if someone was really in that situation they'd be talking to themselves too, but when you're the one controlling them through a game it just feels awkward. And the same thing happened with Shepard in Arrival a couple times, which was jarring. I hope they avoid having Shepard provide a running commentary in ME3.
Heh. This reminds me of sarcastic Hawke's lengthy, rambling speech if you have her alone in the party at a certain point in Dragon Age 2. She goes on muttering to herself for several minutes real-time. Now I'm picturing Shepard mumbling to herself about "yeah... keep walking, loony... wonder what Gardner is making for dinner."

Not that Kate would ever be caught being so ridiculous.

As for the tagline at femshep.com, I think it should now be changed from "the best Easter egg in gaming" to "Let someone else be on the poster" as per sage's fantastic video epilogue.

As soon as the trailer comes out I will change the tagline. Not to worry. The only reason I don't go ahead and switch it now is because of BW's official motto. "Things change".

Check out David Silverman's stuff on Twitter. If you scroll down his posts, he mentions on 28/05/11 that 'her hair is most likely red', in response to a query regarding skin tone, and later on (30/05/11) he says: 'OK, so for #FemShep, the Red Hair votes continue to flood overwhelmingly. As for eyes, hearing a lot of green with some blue. Act now! #ME3'.
So, it looks like it's green eyes and red hair... A true Irish beauty waiting to happen there...
Tim
Thanks for the heads up. Looks like she's going to look very similar to the default Shepard used in the first two games. I thought she would look completely different. Hopefully her skin texturing, etc. will be as detailed as Sheploo.
I was hoping for something entirely different. It kind of surprised me when it happened, actually. When people "voted" red hair and green I thought, "isn't default shepard like that ?"
Anyway, I hope they'll really work on this.If they only make a couple of tweaks in the CC to the current default Jane, I'd be a bit dissapointed

Sniff... Eveyt time I see BF3 PC shot it makes me sad that ME3 PC version is console port and not the other way around.

Not even maxed out (no tessellation).

Same bit disapointed, but then again.. Green can mean blue-green too, one of those colors that shifts depending on lighting, which would be cool. Then red i don't so much have a problem with knowing they'll be putting in more natural hair this time around, and them having said longer hairstyles would be possible, I'm hoping it will give us an entirely new look regardless.jwalker wrote...I was hoping for something entirely different. Hair is going to bee interesting. If it looks like the same as in ME2, what a let down. If it doesn't I do hope that they do not just make that hair awesome and all others crap. I personally think that dynamic hair would be awesome but I think that we can bury our hopes for that (damn consoles).Ottemis wrote...

The Mass Effect twitter account just tweeted
this video of a fan reaction the the femShep trailer coming out soon.
At the end she showcases a handful of femSheps, and I recognized some of
you (as well as the lovely picture on the first page). Thought you guys and gals
might be interested to know that your creations have been featured.

I'm sure you guys have already ranted about this at length in here, but this article kinda annoyed me with it's liberal use of the term "non-canon". How many times does Bioware have to say that there is no official canon? Even the books and comics have always been careful to be gender-neutral about Shepard, IIRC.

Thanks for compiling those links, Mesina! As for broShep, I don't know when that term came about, though I've seen it referenced as the default term for male Shepard. I dunno. I like DudeShep, myself.
I think femShep is the best term, though I have heard SheShep, who apparently sells seashells by the seashore. Then there's LadyShep, though we already have LadyHawke.

There are some details on some of the aliens in ME1 and 2 that 'sway' on movement, I'm hoping, ifnot fully dynamic, they'll do something like that for the hair. Illusion is fine, aslong as it looks good =PTup3xi wrote...
