If there is not a short chopped trendy hair style, then I would like a single long braid down the back. Something that won't get in the way of killing Reapers but is still elegant.

Random question, but do you guys often find yourselves torn between your personal interests and your Shepard's interests when it comes to aesthetics? That point in time where you'd dress her up into some thing or other and later on realize that it doesn't make sense for her to wear said thing? How often do you break the "rules"? Do these little details even matter as far as you're concerned?

I ask this because I find myself in this trivial dilemma about putting Jennelyn into casual attire #2 (the one with the collar) because the neck bothers me lol. I like to think that she would want to wear what the rest of the crew is wearing, as a sign that she's very grounded with how she regards herself, but there's nothing incredibly wrong with wearing anything else either - just that the former feels more in-character. It's the same thing with the red eyeshadow. I don't think it's something she'd normally wear, but I thought it looked nice so to compromise I just say that she wears it to look presentable. xD

Would love to hear your thoughts on this!

@ nranola: I hear you. I've put my shep in some outfits and makeup that looked so nice, but they really didn't fit. in the end, i've deferred to my femshep's tastes on everything - except the eye makeup. i used the one that looks like slightly smudgy eyeliner and mascara, because no eyeliner on a blonde just looked way too weird. there are no good 'light makeup' options, imo, and by 'light' i mean either 'not heavy' OR 'for fair skinned people'



Thankfully, the makeup is really subtle and you can't tell it's there too much

personally, i don't think kyrie would ever wear makeup, except maybe for a date (which she never has) or if she has to go to a press conference, award ceremony, or go on trial. i am a civilian, so what i know about regs is all second hand. but i do outdoor stuff a lot and i figured i'd apply the logic of that to constant combat. if you're going to be out climbing a mountain or chasing down mercs with a pistol, i'd assume you'd want to be low-maintenence. just a guess.

I just pic stuff that seems to look good on her. I know nothing about women clothing or make up. Heels are no go, I can not understand how anyone can torture their feet in those and voluntarily... When it comes to armour I always use snow or urban camo and standard casual outfit. Same set for male Shep. To be honest, in army they actually did not let me use my own underwear so my Shep is not going to wear skirts or suit while at Normandy.

I try to keep in character when deciding what Zody Shepard (my main) looks like. For causal, I got the causal outfit mod if for the sole reason that it bothers her to wear the Cerberus brand. I also give her dark clothing, her background is bleak and filled with a lot of death. The only time she wears a dress of any kind is for Kasumi and Samara's loyalty missions only because its an act and she is trying to pretend she is someone she is not. The makeup on the other hand I do for me, heavy black liner brings out the insane blue of her eyes.

Thanks! I original had her in the darker blue, for the Alliance, but that made her and Garrus look like they were wearing matching armor. So light blue for biotics!

I play around with my FemSheps outfits, but only for screenshot fun. As for makeup, I've modded it with gibbed on some of my characters. I try to create something subtle and enhancing for their features. The only one of my FemSheps I see wearing sexy outfits would be Moira, as I imagine her being a bit vain and having a "I don't care what you think" attitude.

ME2 doesnt flatter skin tones as much as ME did I always felt.   Having said that any skin tone next to Miranda is isntantly noticable!      Miri has a real Snow White texture about her

I dress my characters according to what I think fits their personality. Kate’s in old the old school N7 armor, it’s practical and not very flashy, she just wears eye makeup because I didn’t like how she looked without any on and I modded her causal armor because there’s no way she’d ever wear a Cerberus uniform.

Apparently, standing next to Miranda gives Shepard a darker skin tone. How else could one explain this contrast?
