Nah, too many clipping issues. Plus it gives your enemies something to hold onto, and trust me, you don't want that.
I would not, however, say no to more short-haired options. That goes for both genders.

I mean, she would put her hair into a bun (like it is normally) when she has a helmet, but I'd like for her to be able to let her hair down on the normandy especially the cerberus one sinve it's a "civilian ship".

I know all about that, it doesn't seem to affect miranda for some reason though. That bun option makes Femshep seem even more like the universe's personal nanny. not that male shep isn't as well.

I see some similarities.  She has a different nose than mine.  I wonder which nose you used?  It looks good on her.

I always have a hard time selecting a nose. Most look like the business end of a spear from some angles, and some others look a bit too wide. This one looked a bit too wide in the character creation screen, but turned out OK in the game. I wouldn't hesitate to share face codes, but she's from ME1.

Definitely. I like this thread. So many different opinions on what looks best - and in the end most do look good. Much harder to make a good-looking maleShep.

As for me Commander Shepard is only a female not male.
If there is a choice in a game between male and female characters I always choose female characters.

Why people are so against FemShepards with buns? Taking into consideration how many prefer the short haircut, I'd say FemSheppie with long hair put in a professional manner is a rare GEM.

Two of my three FemShepards have long hair. I think it's totally sexy. And I wish they can get it loose in ME3 while wearing civil clothing.

I have one femShep with a bun - that oriental type I posted a few pages earlier. The problem is the hair is drawn back so violently in that hairstyle that it tends to look overly severe, almost unhealthy. 

I prefer a longer hairstyle, and I couldn't care less for "military" realism, I just want my femSheps to look good. Unfortunately, the longer non-bun hairstyles, where the hair should flow at least somewhat, all make it look like sprayed-on until it has the consistency of concrete. No hairstyle in the games is really to my satisfaction.

Ok, buns might be not the sexiest of ways to make long hair look good. But don't they add some professionalism to the person who wears it? Like what's the first image you have when someone mentiones hair in a bun? I get a teacher or a secretary (the sexy types though ). As a military style they work fine IMO. Although a ponytail (the one with several locks out) is a total turn on. And I'm not even talking about loose hair. *faints in admiration*



The most ironical thing is that I cut my waist length hair when I was 18 and I much prefer pixie hairstyle right now.
