@Yuki

You can do it in photoshop if you change image mode to 32-bit channel. Then you can use the color picker to find the colors you want and it gives you RGB values.

Oh, no worries about the snip. If everyone had quoted that mammoth wall-o-text, we'd probably have crashed the server! (I keed! I keed!)

I'm glad you figured out your Shep so early on. I thought I had too, and then FemShep smacked me upside the head for daring to think her male counterpart was "canon*! lol Seriously, though, it's a wierd feeling having my entire view of the story change, but it's a good kinda wierd, if ya know what I mean. I mean, maleShep is awesome, don't get me wrong, but having played femShep, she's just more awesome, because she's that rare female protagonist who's both strong without being overdone, and tender without being a damsel in distress. I like that about her. I think Kat's story is gonna be the most awesomest thing in ME history! Except...for your guys' femSheps that is...lol

I'm sure the BSN servers are used to walls upon walls of text by now. xD

I'm not against playing as a dude either (majority of games have a male lead, and I've played a lot lol), but I think it's because we see a lot of the manly protagonist types in video games that makes FemShep all the more enjoyable to play. But as a woman myself I find it easier to connect with a female character. And I agree, FemShep is probably one of if not THE best female protagonist out there today for the reasons you already mentioned, and more!

Haha, I bet it will! I wish Kat all the best in saving the galaxy! Try not to kick too much ass. The world might implode due to sheer amount of awesome. ;D

After all her great results Sarah got the nickname the Angel of Mindoir just because she was a shining star of Paragon. In ME1 she continued with this and met some amazing people and she was at her best. After she died in ME2 she had to endure a lot of trauma and she fell. She started to be ruthless and renegade in her ways and you can see her as a ''Fallen Angel'' now. In ME3 she intend to be the a ''Avenging Angel''

It's sad to see her turning renegade after she died, but it's understandable. I love the Angel theme you have going with her... siha. ;D Out of curiosity, was the Angel theme inspired by Thane or did you already have that going even before that?

He helped with it, it was already an idea that i had for a long time but when i tried his romance and everything fit together. Without Thane i might never created that theme, hearing him call her Siha and explain what it means was the final piece so big thanks to our Drell for making it happen

New femshep incoming! Any and all comments welcome.

Here's Katrina (Kat) Shepard.

She's a Colonist/Sole Survivor, will be Paragade with some renegade decisions. She's a singularity Vanguard in ME1, will be an Adept in ME2. Love the shotguns and medium armor in ME1, so Vanguard instead of Adept.

As far as her looks go, she kinda reminds me a little of Kyrie. There's something just a little..."off"...about her, but I can't put my finger on it. It's not enough to require me to restart her, but if someone has an opinion on what might be just that bit off, I'd listen. I think her mouth is just a bit too low, maybe bringing it up a notch or two might solve it.

Anyways, there she is, my (final! finally!) canon Shepard. Wish us luck as we save the galaxy in our little dimension of the multiverse!

It must've been a pleasant surprise finding out what "siha" meant, huh. xD I'm starting to get really curious about his romance. Sadly, the Sheps I have in mind are likely not to fraternize with him... for now.

*Colonist/Sole Survivor Paragade high-five!* :wizard:

I'm no expert with proportions, and I'm probably not the best judge as I'm still in the process of tweaking my main Shep to look "correct" myself, but Kat's looking pretty good to me. A couple of clicks up with the mouth might help. And I don't know if this would make it any better, but I've had this problem with how my Shep looked in the past and I much later realized that the eyes were too far apart - maybe try that, see how it looks?

If you want to go nuts with the proportions, SkaldFish listed down some very helpful tips here.

Oh, and it we'd be able to help more if you provided a front view shot of her as well.

So... I decided to beef up Jennelyn's jaw earlier today. Just a little.

Posted Image

I like how it's looking so far. Let's see how far I get into the game before I see something wrong again lol. Investing a few clicks on the jaw seems to have alleviated some of my frustration on the neckline. I never would've guessed that adjusting the jaw would do the trick for me. Kind of like that time when I thought it was the face shape that was bothering me, but it turned out to be the eyes. xP

Anyway, it's been a great learning experience so far. I think I'm starting to get a better handle on Mass Effect's character creator.

Bonus derp shots! I don't know what it is about this face but Jennelyn keeps making it. I think she's doing it to spite me...

LOL, she DOES! i was like, "ooh, more blondes...hey, she looks a little kyrie-like". yeah, that's kyrie's eyes, nose, and lips, for sure. and face #1, right? i'm totally biased, then, but she looks good. :D

hmmm.... i'm noticing that her feature look like they're sitting a little "low" on her face. depending on how you want to change that up, you could either raise everything a notch or two (i agree that the mouth and the nose look lower than the rest, proportionally) or you could drop the chin down and give her a longer face to balance it out, perhaps. not sure what that would do.  i find that haircut, the custom sexy, is very forgiving to face-shapes, so you could go either way and it would probably still flatter.

i like the eyebrow/scar combo. it gives her a gritty edge, i think. i had a shep i used that combo on and somehow she always looked ready to take out anything in sight. is the scar charge-related, i wonder?  ^_^

random pics for the morning. my husband was commenting on the ME2 camera angles regarding a certain sentinel. was it the devs? or were they just using it as a character-development point that she tends to show off her assets?

Sorry to hear that, Aislinn. Hope everything sorts itself out. :(

Honestly, I suck at story telling, writing stuff, background stories and everything related to that. I do have something forming in my head but I dunno if I ever have guts to write it down... But now that I think about it, I hardly think about  psychological profile. Much more pre-service history related things.

Tiia is a great looking Shepard, Tup, I'm sure you could write something for her. I'm no writer, but if I can do it then I'm sure you can. Besides you won't know if you don't try, so give it a go! :)

@Khevan: For what it's worth, I think she looks great. I would possibly suggest moving her eyes closer together, but other than that I can't offer anything else. I'm no expert when it comes to the character creator, in fact I'm pretty rubbish with it if I'm honest. I think Hrist turning out so well was more luck then skill on my part as most of my characters tend to look very similar, even when I use different features and face shapes.

Actually, it's face #2, but they're similar enough.  The cheeks are just a *tad* bit fuller in the 3/4 view with #2, but not much difference otherwise.

Good advice.  It's basically what I've been thinking, but actually put into words instead of a vague feeling I was having.  I might hafta try that, thanks!  Oh, and the hair I picked because Kat wouldn't wear hair that wouldn't fit easily under a helmet, and this haircut is the shortest of the haircuts available, except for the peeled-onion look.  Here's hoping for a haircut like Trinity in the Matrix movies for ME3!

*accidental snippage*...the eyebrow/scar combo. it gives her a gritty edge, i think. i had a shep i used that combo on and somehow she always looked ready to take out anything in sight. is the scar charge-related, i wonder?  Posted Image

Heh...no, it's actually a permanent reminder of an...interesting childhood.  Yes, she grew up on Mindoir, and yes her parents were farmers, but she wasn't exactly the good little farmer's daughter.  I haven't fleshed that part out, but her nickname on Mindoir was Alley Kat, and it wasn't because it was "cute."  But I agree with you, I like this eyebrow/scar combo.  The scar also shows up on her upper lip, which is like 2 scars in one!  I can have two incidents to create instead of one big one.  Creative juices are flowing....

Thanks for the advice, sage.  I get the feeling I'll be spending some time in the ME CC this afternoon...lol.  I think I've almost got her look nailed down, then it's off to save the galaxy.

More Kat picspam!

I think I got it. I had Kat's sliders written down, so it didn't take long to recreate her, then tweak her look just a tad. I moved her eyes closer together, moved them up a couple notches, then moved her nose and mouth up a couple more notches. Narrowed the jaw a tad, but not sure if it shows.

Now, her mouth is just a hair too close to her nose, but it's not enough to bother me, and I kinda like the fact that she's imperfect looking. Makes her more...real to me I guess.
