The SR-1 will always be THE Normandy for me, but the SR-2 did have some things about it I liked. I enjoyed the fact that it was a larger ship I could explore, with several decks. I enjoyed wandering about and chatting with the squad and several crew mates. It did feel a bit bright, flashy and sterile, while the old Normandy definitely made me think 'military'.

My characters themselves have different opinions when it comes to the new Normandy. Holly hates it, thinks it's a shallow attempt by Cerberus to rebuild what once was. She also thinks the Captain's Quarters is quite ridiculous and pretentious. Most of my Sheps share this opinion. Moira, on the other hand, loves the SR-2. She didn't really hold much personal attachment to the old one, and feels like the Alliance turned it's back on her. I see her being dragged back to Earth kicking and screaming for the trial.   XD

I saw the Normandy as transportation, nothing more. In fact, thanks to Joker's little stunt in the beginning of ME2, my Shepard(s) certainly don't feel anything over that piece of tin. They give Joker a hard time on the SR2 because of it.

Re: SR-1 vs SR-2:
The SR-1 was just great, I liked the deep blue color, the dim lighting made it harder to see at points though. However, the SR-2 looks like a damn hospital, it's also big, the Normandy was a steath ship so it was built small, but the SR-2 is  way bigger. I liked the cabin better in the SR-2 as well. Honestly, I liked the set up of both. However, I would like a combination of them both for ME3, the darker theme of the SR-1 (no more bright colors and Cerberus insignias, damn it) and a cross over set up of them both, with the upgrades the SR-2 has (EDI, thanix canon, upgraded armor, multi-core shielding etc.) and then the wickid cabin Shep has (with the added feature to call up Shep's LI and make out with them whenever, of course)

Also, on another note, I drew this for a friend of mine, her Shep Aayla and her girlfriend from Mindoir, Rania. They are about 13 or so. Aayla is the one on the right, Rania on the left.

You should seriously consider stamping this picture with the ME2's "2" logo. What a beautiful shot!
:o:O:O

Thanks! Though somehow the fact that it says "Norman" in the corner there instead of "Normandy" seems to detract just a little. ;)

Love the new femsheps!

And speaking of art, I have been drawing again, and out of the two I did last night, one is FemShep, well my FemShep Lili, that is (the other is my LadyHawke, Katie, being all smexy for her romance) and she's all dressed up like Mileena from Mortal Kombat (I had just played MK, and had like 2 beers so that's where the idea came from) Tell me what you all think. Again, done in paint >_>

Scamper posted a pic of Jih on th previous page of Jih contemplating her retrieved helmet from the dog tag mission. It made me wonder how my Shepards would have reacted to finding that helmet. I think most of them would have looked inside after much anxious thought, worried there may be remains of her head inside. They would then search the area to be sure there were no other pieces of her former body laying around. She is still not convinced Cerberous isn't lying about the reconstruction. Has anyone else considered how their Shepards reacted to that moment?

Oddly enough, never thought about it much until I played LotSB and and saw that Liara had in her apartment another piece of Shepard's armor. Don't know if it's another part of the same set, but still made me wonder. I usually play LotSB somewhere between the DCS and the SM, but I'm still unsure when to play Normandy's Crash Site mission. I mean, before or after LotSB.
LotSB is about helping Liara, but also everything that happens there is a consequence of Shepard's death. Liara and Feron recovered her dead body.

But to answer your question, for most of my shepards, the reaction to finding that helmet is mostly denial. She didn't die. She was just in a terrible accident where she lost consciousness for 2 years.

And what do you mean by not believing in Cerberus about the reconstruction ? Your Shepard believes she's a clone ?

@jwalker: At least one of my Shepards would have had serious worry about how her body was brought back to life. When she finds the helmet, those fears would have surfaced again. I suspect she has heard of or seen bodies that have been spaced. She knows that would be bad. But finding the helmet lets her know the body was on planet. That was obviously a planet with gravity. Being spaced was bacd enough. Falling to the planet and maybe being retrieved in pieces to be put back together would be a lot to swallow. I think Kerrigan half expected to find a skull in the helmet.

Shades of Battlestar Galactica . . . I expect her to say "If that's me lying there then what am I!?"

FYI: That's not the correct meaning of debriefing in case that's what you think.

Debriefing, to inform someone on some action, chain of events or other information after the event has taken place.

I <3 this pic.

Dunno about everyone else, but I've been AWOL thanks to Steam's summer sale. DA2! omg, I'm in love with it. Voiced avatars and dialog wheels FTW. I hope this trends never goes away. Can't tell if I'm sad I waited so long to get it, or if I'm happy I got it on sale.

Ahem. Anyhow, have a femshep.
