We don't know what kind of skin texture she'll have, what she'll look like when she's not giving us the marketing-glare, or even what she really looks when she's actually looking at us profile.

Even the Vanderloo Shepard version of this picture hardly reflects on what he actually looks like in game.

Yeah, but

the thing is Sheploo looks super wrinkled, while Femshep looks like right out of the beauty salon

keeps on being a real fact.

About the age it's true, they seems young and no marked by Shep's previous story. Also I see absurd any make-up in a soldier.

Imagine the scars persisting, then she'll look just as 'fecked up' as you intend her to.
I wouldn't worry about it anyways, that one picture will in no way fully represent her properly, we all know what ingame lighting can do to a character.

Edited to add:
Shep's face was modelled after a model, including the creases in the skin (especially note the forehead ones), aka the bumpmap.
If femshep would have gotten something similar I'm sure the texture would have reflected that aswell. As it is, that isn't the case, the bumpmap for the females are more normalized on average. While they have the creases they're just way less prominent. It's been this way since the beginning though.

Even Michelle Rodriguez in your avatar doesn't look weathered, they just slap some dirt and sweat on her face once in a while.

Voters were torn essentially between hairstyles and hair color and you didn't have a lot of room for expression in the poll.

I personally preferred something close (identical, I suppose) to the ME1/2 canon default female. That would be a redhead with a hair length that was most closely resembled by option #5.
Would Bioware take this kind of minute feedback from everyone in mind when producing the trailer?

What about Sheplee or Shepla? Just throwing in my two cents here.

The only reason sheploo is called sheploo is because he's based on vanderloo.
Making an adaptation to sheploo for default Jane just doesn't really make sense to me.

To jump topic, I just experimented by sticking Kelly's hair on my Jane, result:

If the new Shep get another name it might be whatever name they can come up with but i do approve of Jane 2.0 .. or they make another poll for us to vote in

me too, though I understand the preference for a more ethnically mixed femshep and honestly, I'm a little sad we have another whitey (even if she does look like my own shep more than the others).

There are a LOT of blonde cover girls out there. Still, I'm digging that THIS blonde cover girl looks like she means business and completely forgot to do her hair, since she is out to lay down pain on the Reapers.

As for her makeup, I see it as part of the myth that no matter how busy a woman is, she has time to put on eyeliner in the morning. Aaannnddd since I usually do put on eyeliner even though I *don't* really have time for it, I personally can't naysay that one. Depends on the woman's priorities, I guess.
