But like I said, most of us shouldn't even really care one way or the other. In the end, femShep will probably get two or three trailers at most, while mShep will get six or seven. This isn't so much about judging (/not judging) these character designs, as it is about simply choosing which one will be representing the femShep PC in trailers. I guess I shouldn't speak for all of us, but I for one will probably NEVER play as the new femShep--because her new render, model codes, hairstyles, etc will be limited to ME3. So, unless I decide to play ME3 as the "entry point" into the series (which sounds about as appealing as jamming my head into a sealed plastic bag, while having someone tickle my feet) I don't really care.

The fact that it will be the face used for not just a character but a group of people in the gaming community who has been underrepresented for such a long time gives people more reason to care. If we're going through with this we might as well put our best foot forward, right?

I most likely won't be using the new femShep either, not unless she can be ported into the first two games somehow, in which case she'd be PERFECT for a Spacer/Ruthless Shep I've been thinking of running (assuming blondie Shep wins). I tweeted Casey if this can be done, so far no response. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. >__<

I didn't mean to imply that I'm not excited about femShep being represented. I am. I'm really excited. But I was just trying to explain that having people make sexist comments about the new femSheps, or complain that they're too butch/barbie is ultimately a fairly shallow (forgive me) thing to worry about.

From the very start of this series, femShep should've been represented as mShep's equal counter part. EVEN if she didn't make it into as many trailers, or posters as him.

The important thing is that she's finally being represented. I agree 100%

The fact that she's just now getting her own custom model(s), is what came too late. And thus, I'm not going to be overly excited about it (the custom femShep).

You ladies/lads have made some of the best Shepards I've ever seen. I've come from several gaming and social boards to Bioware's (late last year), and the creativity here is...beyond words! ELE, f1r3st0rm, Ottemis, etc etc, and in particular you, nranola, have made femShepards that sh!t all over the girls in these six panels. And you know what? You guys/gals have had 4 years to hone your PC making skills to a fine art. Same with me, I guess.

So, in the end, the six panels don't really mean anything at all to me. The fact that Shepard's being finally given the trailer she deserves? That's huge. But the girl's in those pictures were created with new technology for a new game four years after ME1 came out. We created our ass kicking Shepards, not with new tools and new tech, but with old tools and old tech.  And the results? Just look around.

I miss the scars we had in ME1, I don't dislike the scars from ME2. And it makes sense that Shepard wouldn't have her old scar since Cerberus rebuilt her. But my Shep is a paragon, so boring old smooth skin. I miss her eyebrow and lip scar...

I'm not sure if you meant A) the sexist jerks are shallow, or B) the people worrying about sexist jerks are shallow. If A, then I totally agree, but if B, I disagree... though I'm not entirely sure if shallow is an accurate word there either way? But yeah, it's kind of small potatoes compared to the larger issue of FemShep's (lack of) marketing presence in general, especially since sexist jerks are kind of everywhere, unfortunately.

I disagree with the idea that the distinctive FemSheps belonging to people in this thread "sh!t all over" anyone else's, though, including the six possible new ones. The new ladies don't have the extensive fanfic and fanart that some of our ladies have, so it's an unfair comparison, y'know? Plus, I prefer to raise the status and importance of all ladies without having to kick others down to do so, even digital ladies. What can I say, I'm 100% paragon. ;)

And more Jei, because why not!

Posted Image

For some reason the scene of these two waiting for the SR-1 to be unlocked is one of my favorites, despite (because of?) it having no dialogue. The looks on their faces really sells the moment. <3

Edit: omg meonlyred you had the eyebrow scar too? Rock on. I think my Jei misses hers so much she might just take a razor to her eyebrow for kicks at some point in a fanfic.

I wasn't doubting your enthusiasm for the femShep exposure. Sorry if it came out that way. >__<

It's true, the new femShep will likely not have much appeal to the people who have played with their own femSheps all this time so it's mostly catered to people who take ME3 as an entry point. But, to me at least, that doesn't mean the concern for how she looks like shouldn't be there. It's only now that she's given the spotlight, and it might be a tad too late for a lot of us, but it's still an opportunity for us to showcase this badass of a woman more prominently and collectively.

tl;dr, I think deciding what the promotional femShep looks like is a big deal and I completely understand why so many people are getting huffy about it. xD

It really is amazing what everyone has done with their Sheps what little tools they were given. The six new femSheps have the advantage of custom textures and more refined face models and hair and whatnot, they're bound to look great in ME3, but I think a lot of what's been posted here levels up to them, which is pretty amazing. :D

I miss the ME1 scars, too. :( It added a lot of personality (and customization) to Shepard.

Needless to say that I'm very much so enjoying my ME1 re-run. <3

On a roleplaying aspect Jennelyn mourned the loss of her scars come ME2. It's one of those things that reminded her of the hardships she'd endured, people she lost, to get to where she was now. Losing her scars was like losing a part of herself.

Well... technically she lost a lot of herself in Lazarus, but you get the idea. xD

A bit late, but these two. I like these two. Number 5 more so, however. All of them are so mega hot, though. Gotta love FemShep, right?

Lili: Have you seen the FemSheps to vote for? They are smokin'!
Garrus:....I think number five looks like you.
Lili: I fail to see how.
Garrus: Blond hair, bright blue eyes, human-
Lili: Um, Gar, they are ALL human.
Garrus:....
Lili: And she's paler then me! Plus, blonder hair.
Garrus: Not really.
Lili: *sighs* Ok, I see your point. I look a bit like her.
Garrus: However your prettier.
Lili: Flattery? Hm....I like.
Garrus: I know.

Titra: A drink to BioWare. Not only for giving us badass FemSheps our do, but for making a kickass sexy one with green eyes and black hair! Also, Kasumi get me another drink.  I wanna toast to FemShep.
Thane: You've already had seven drinks, siha.
Garrus: And you want to toast yourself. I mean...is that a human thing?
Kasumi: Let her drink. I mean, you two got on the game cases she and other FemShepps got nothing until now really.
Miranda: We got it with an ugly guy though.
Ashley: She has a point for once.
Titra: MORE DRINKS DAMN IT!
Kasumi: OK, geez, getting the ale now!
Titra: Ah, I love my life.

I wish they'd give us a better venue than just Facebook.  I don't use Facebook, so I can't vote.  They should have other ways to express your opinion.

That being said, I'll be happy with whatever we get, especially since my real Shepard, Jessica, isn't in any of those six pictures.

Now that I think about it, I'm really glad I chose Earthborn for Jei, because I think that shady background helps her identify with his shady badassery. Is badassery even a word? ...Welp, it is now!

Though he also gets brownie points for following orders without griping when she told him to protect Garrus during that whole Garrus-vs-Mercs showdown. Best crazy uncle ever. Tee hee.

We guys do via tweaking coalesced.ini. There are plenty of tutorials around. Sadly, I can't help right now (have to go right now).

Hello Female Shepard fans. I always play Sheploo but I think my next Shepard will be a Female (and my first Renegade too). Thing is, I'm not fond of the default face and in every game where there is a Character Creator, I always make crap faces so I turn to defaults (in ME = Sheploo).
Anyone have a good looking face recipe for a Renegade (going for Infiltrator if that helps).

Did you check out the ME2 faces database yet?
Lots of lovely faces shared there =)

How do the recipes there work? Looks like numbers and letters...

When you start a new custom shep in ME2, in the bottom of the Character Creator you can input that 'code' and it'll give you the face specified =)

If you want to use a custom shep for ME1, you can use a conversion tool Tup3xi created. You input the facecode from the masseffect2faces website into the tool and it will generate a textfile that shows you the sliderpositions for the ME1 Character Creator. You can find that tool here.

I checked the site, liked these, in no particular order:

http://www.masseffec....php?faceID=531 (this one just the face, would tweak hair; in fact, most of these are just for the face)
http://www.masseffec....php?faceID=286
http://www.masseffec...php?faceID=1812
http://www.masseffec...php?faceID=1472

Anyone else think they look nice?

I posted the below bit on the thread because although I agree with the thread to some degree I think she may have jumped to a few conclusions because of a few dozen silly comments out of the 40,000+ votes cast. The vast majority arnt at all making an issue and most femshep fans are glad this is all happening. The title kind of puts a negative spin on everything rather then a positive.

By allowing us to cast a vote what really did we and Bioware expect with a poll like this? Of course everyone has an opinion and everyone wants to make sure theirs is heard. Some of it is constructive. Some of it not so much.

However assuming that its on the whole negative is a bit presumptive. People have grown attached to their protagonist and many care deeply about femshep. As a result the way she looks is a big deal to some people. I think this is a good thing in many ways as it shows the love she has. The polls are popular as well as the threads on BSN right now.

Im sure Bioware knows the support for her is massive and this is an issue close to many peoples hearts. If they didnt then they wouldnt be making it such an event. Its really good to see her get some much needed attention at last and Im very gratefull. Something I know Bioware are well aware of.

This N7 armour varient is interesting  ^_^

Posted Image

Edit: Actually aside from the lack of upper protection, as a light armour variant I really quite like it. It has metallic pads, protective polymers and fabrics. Yeah its a snug fit, but ME armours are. Look at Onyx or the armour in the promo pics.  She would look good holding a sniper rifle here I think.

Plus that hairstyle has a cool sci-fi thing going as well as her tattoo design
