Yeah... I thought long and hard about it, and decided I might as well just do it. I almost certain I won't get a better price than that, and I am not certain that the price won't go up at some point (i.e. whether or not this preorder price is permanant or not). I could imagine EA getting their international site up and then making pricing on that site congruent with most of the rest of the world.

I decided to opt out of the DDE, despite it basically costing the same here as the regular version does elsewhere (it's 1790 baht = ~$60). Mainly because the perks just don't grab me much. I have no need of a robodog, I can live without the extra weapons (especially if there is a Widow available in the game  ), and the other extras like additional casual wear and digital images also don't do anything for me. At least, nothing does enough for me to justify 2x the price.

I just want the game itself, and the price I got is probably better than it would be on Steam sales (if they even do a release on Steam) for about a year, so, that's cool.

This is a subject I keep coming back to with my Shepard as well. I imagine she'd feel uncomfortable in her own skin, in every sense of the word, every so often during her alone time. This piece captures that feeling exceptionally well.

Steam is my platform of choice (retail Steam games are the best option) but if it's much cheaper to buy the hard copy, I might do that. I'm not going to buy directly from Origin since the price is always higher than retail (£27.99 vs. 49,99 € for standard edition in this case). You can add retail games to Origin, though. I've added/registered my EA steam games to Origin except Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Mass Effect and Mirror's Edge. Can't add those and later doesn't have CD key.



Yeah, I don't think that the extra is worth it. The sound track is just bunch of crap quality MP3's and the art is probably low resolution jpg's. On top of that they might eventually make those weapons and other stuff available in weapon pack DLC's.
