Femshep question, as it's something I've been doing.

In game , whether intentional or not, Shepard is sort of portrayed as invincible (getting brain probed but still operating at peak performance within seconds of that happening) How do you, for lack of abetter word, weaken your Shepard?

I do this by giving Kallen injuries. For Virmire I had the whole team (minus Ashley who was with the Salarians) come for "Shadow Team" and after the second beacon (since the first one knocked her out because it overloaded) just weaken her as her mind processed the iformation so she had to be carried to the bomb site.

Interesting question... Actually, I don't. It doesn't mean that I think that she's almighty. She's a human and has her own weak points. She has plenty of internal scars.

EDIT:
TopShep.

I assmue you mean the weak spot of our femshep, eh?

For Velina, she is vulnerable when it comes matter happen to her two close friend back on Earth. If she found they were injuried or even died, Velina will not able to concentrate on her currnet mission.

For Colly, it will be her only friend - her mother. She doesn't have any really close friend besides Liara, teamates are always like colleauges to her. The coming reaper invasion worries her on the safety of her mother, if there's a way to keep her from harm's way, she will do it no matter what.

I don't need to see her weakness to know it to be there.
In extension with my own way of dealing with things, Shep walks on because she has to.
It's not about not feeling pain, it's about knowing when not to let it slip through the cracks and invade your thoughts when you can't let it. When too much hangs on you, depends on you NOT breaking down.

So I imagine Shep has her moments where she contemplates loss, and pain, but it's always something done in retrospect, always something saved for quiet moments where she might actually scream where no-one else can hear her.

*edit to add:
Her strength lies in her conviction, her sense of purpose and her determination.
Her conviction makes her choices for her, which is also her weakness.
There's a duality to it that she can't escape. I imagine those are the things that keep her up at night.

Jolene isn't invincible, neither physically nor mentally.

You can see that in my Fic and certainly also in upcoming ones.

What Ottemis said

Erica has her "What would Kaidan do?" mantra to guide her in times of doubt and April has her Mom.  The only thing I do "in game" is w/ UJ. She will have a drink or four after certain missions and encounters.

hmm. i don't know how to phrase it, but as i wrote my fanfic, i just sort of found natural 'cracks' as it were , in her defenses and sort of followed them back to their source. i feel like my femshep has instabilities and vulnerabilities. she knows sometimes she hits borderline insane. but it's her ability to push on that makes me admire her. everyone has weaknesses, it's the keeping going that's interesting. and it was a little sad to me there were less opportunities to RP that in me2 than in me1.

@Liquid, please keep in mind that this is femshep thread, all post pic should have femshep in it. Thank you ;)

Edit: if the picture is like a cookie and little thing like tribbles, that would be fine tho :)

Mentally/emotionally, Olivia is scarred from the people she's lost over the course of her life. Whether they be fellow soldiers in her history of being a war hero, or Kaiden, Jenkins, Presley, and the others that died on the SR1. No matter how tough Shepard is, the loss of a life, especially one she got to know, sucks big time.

Physically, she is constantly getting banged up in the field. Every time she re-enters the SR2 after a mission and takes off her armor, she can see the cuts and bruises she got from melee, and welts she gets when her shields go down and her armor has to take the brunt of bullets.

Often a cool shower will ease the aches that she is accustomed to. In fact, Olivia kind of likes the pain, simply so that she can feel the water in the shower massage her wounds.

Heh. After her tussle with Grunt upon opening his cage, she had a really nasty bruise across her back from how hard he slammed her into the wall. She had to scrub her back with an ice pack in private for almost two hours. But she shot Grunt a few times, so there was some minor satisfaction.

Talia is pretty much the same as Raine in how she deals with her fear, anger & doubts.
A good example in how Talia feels you can experience yourself if you've played LotSB and have Liara come over.
Shepard can then get pissed about not even her friends believing her.
When you are on Horizon and Ash/Kaid just left, you can see (albeit only a bit) that Shepard did not expect that response.
Have a pic to illustrate:

For the picbomb, I used an old save of Talia and injected the Facemorph Ottemis sent me  (edited a bit)

Well it's my head canon that after Samara's LM Naomi collapsed. Morinth and the Prothean cipher didn't mix well. Other than that fears, loss, horror and anything that will detract from the objective is shoved into a mental box and dealt with later. Extreme emotion doesn't have place on the battlefield. Naomi deals with it by crying in the shower or fixing something.

That she avoids romantic entanglements probably helps her keep herself detached.
