Exactly. I've seen people compare Femshep to Sheploo saying she doesn't look as old as him. I say that is a good thing.

Same. xP I personally prefer redhead, but the brunette seems like the safe neutral choice and parallels better with Sheploo. I'm torn.

We are customizing a default Femshep, a face that many of us will probably not use anyway (if the statistics of customized Shepards has anything to say about that). The vote does nothing but minimize fan backlash (though I doubt that's true either).

Irony of the good kind, I think. Much like I said in another thread, with the lack of promotional material for femShep we never really had a "grounding point" with her. Not saying that a grounding point is required, personal preferences aside, but when people speak of femShep more often than not she's customized. So I find it very appropriate that we're able to do the same with the promotional femShep and that BioWare is giving their fans a chance to take part in it.


The "vote anything but blonde" comments that I've been seeing leave a bad taste in the mouth though. :/ It's sad that some people fail to acknowledge that the second vote is not an anti-blonde movement, that we can't go through with this without bashing other people, but that's humanity for you.

Not that the complaining would have ceased had the second vote not happened, but still...

*nods, especially if you consider some people voted 5 for blonde, instead of whatever they woudl have otherwise for hairstyle had they known this second vote was coming. Cause now they can go screw themselves can't they.

Well, I decided to vote. For me it came down to a mental tie between red and blond, because I thought those two looked most natural (to *me*) with that skin tone. I let history be the tiebreaker and cast a single vote towards red as a tribute to default Jane.

Yes, I know it shouldn't be the beauty contest that it has become, and I didn't choose based on "hey, I think that femShep's a hottie". I based it on a mental image of the only "true" femShep for me, Artemis, saying, "Well, she may not look exactly like me, but she's doesn't look like a poser, either." So basically my vote is based on which one I imagine Artemis would be most flattered to have cos-playing her.

But, enough with the voting and the controversy. Give us our trailer now!!!
