It's lazy character design, and all it looks like they're doing is slapping long hair and some breasts on the same character, giving it a clean shave and saying "done!"  I guess it's too much to expect from the Mass Effect marketing team, because Sheploo is one of the carbon-copy Action Hero clones.  Thankfully this is a case where the game is better than the marketing, and we're not all stuck with a single character model and a fixed storyline.

So on the live feed they pretty much said femshep would get a ton more hairstyle options in response to a question whether the rest of the femshep hairstyle designs would be featured in there.
I myself am very pleased with that answer.

Glad to hear we'll be getting more hairstyles. Really hoping for some longer hair options, possibly with dynamic hair effects. Shouldn't be that difficult to simulate, as dynamic hair has become fairly easy to create in most games. Maybe the UE isn't capable of that though?

On a OT; I just finished the cheating round (on Kaiden. I thought teh photo would only go down after the trip through the Omega 4 Relay but it was down way before that). Can one round accept two different outcomes for the LI? I mean, I had Shep telling Jacob goodnight (postponement) and the opposite (well he wanted to push buttons), except that I did not make a permanent save for the 2nd.

I'm also rather taken aback to find that there's an option for Shep to call it a 1-night stand after the SM. Didn't try this line yet but tis terrible to do that to someone after going all out to do the hooking (gah, really don't like Shep's dialogue). I'll have to replay from the start of SM again to find out (lost that 2nd choice save...bah!)

Well he said you'd be able to recreate the sheps, so i reckon the ponytail(?) styles of #2 and 3 will be in the CC together with the other 4 styles? Atleast ONE of them is a long ponytail cause original red (aka shep #2) has a piece of it draped over her shoulder.

I was just thinking that. I mean it's been 15 years since Tomb Raidier 2, with its great long ponytail animations, and, although we're still not able to move beyond it, you'd think we'd at least have that, you know? Or even some shorter ponytail variants, (without the braid) like what Sarah has in Virtua Fighter 2.

Thanks for that Ottemis!  It makes for interesting watching, though on a professional level I do wonder why Mike Gamble can't hold the mic properly! It does tend to mean he gets lost in the background compared to David Silverman... 

Also, I'm hoping that we'll be able to make little changes to our FemSheps in the CC, as opposed to having to start from scratch again!  I'd love to be able to just change hairstyle or adjust the cheeks or something without endless rounds of doing the CC and opener until we like it.

And finally: "Omni-blades work because they do!"  WTH?!  Whatever happened to ME being a semi-hard sci-fi universe?

I'm pretty sure I heard them (casey?) confirm somewhere in the past two weeks that the imports would be tweakable in the CC this time around. Also, my pleasure =)

Oh, you bet they could do it. It was better even in KOTOR1.

Though, if you want to go fully dynamic consoles are out of question.

maybe.  heh, or maybe i'm just jealous b/c i'm a blonde with super light eyebrows and eyelashes. hey, it's not fair that blonde shep gets blonde hair AND dark eyebrows AND an omniblade.

I have a friend who is blonde and has dark eyebrows, and she's never used hair dye  or anything else ever. So no, it's not impossible. And Lili has blonde hair and black eyebrows so there's FemShep who is like that. Maybe Blondie was designed to be unique and different. Well, I say that because in a way, she looks like my Lili I suppose. Oh nevermind.
Anyhow, I voted for Blonde version (I think she's hot, plus, I'm bias for blonde FemSheps so....)

It isn't common but I've seen it.  Heck, it can even work the other way.  I have a friend with natural dark brown hair who's eyebrows are so light you can barely see them at all.  She's pretty self-conscious about it, actually.

Freckles?! How do you get them? Katie (my blonde) has freckles in my mind's eye, but I didn't know you could do them in-game?! What's the option for them?
