i can't tell if she's loving it or hating it or just wondering if she could hide more weapons under a longer skirt.

incidentally, i was out yesterday and saw a woman who looked like a dead ringer for Zody Shepard. it was uncanny. she was driving a white SUV and chewing bubble gum.

Can I just say that I LOVE how Jennifer makes the interviewer - a guy who's at least a head taller than her - SHRINK when he says he didn't play femShep. Priceless

I was just browsing through and I love all the art and fem's that all show here.
Guess I add some screenshots from my Fem-Sheps too, but no program to make wallpapers or art... I'm a bit to dumb for it.
I wonder where you all find the hairstyles and clothes - some of them I have not seen before.
In DA you had a Toolset ;P and a lot of mods in Nexus. But there isn't similar for ME ?

Heya, welcome to the thread! There's not really a vast selection of mods out there for ME because the game was never made with modding in mind. Most of what people do is find ways to get armorsets not usually available for their characters, and skin/hair mods to give their characters a more unique look. See ELE's last pic of Drea - that face is 100% modded. (texture mod for the skin, modded eyecolor, modded to get that hairstyle and haircolor).

Here's an example of my own canon femShep Lia with mods:

I modded her face texture, armor and the breath mask just because I wanted to try something else for a change.

Edit: On dresses. Let's just say Lena doesn't mind them when the...occasion calls for it, but it's something you gotta work for to see her in *wink*


And don't anybody tell her soldiers aren't allowed to look nice!

Sammy girl on the big screen, tweaked her a bit because of clipping, but can't fix it completely unfortunately so I've decided to settle. Like the eyeshape too much to change them >< She's got eyeshape 1 now, the wider version of 2..


And this is why:

The right eye is alot narrower then the left eye, and it seems to be consistently so.
Funnily the problem is still there with 1, just less noticeable. No matter though, looks kinda funky in a way.

Well, actually, mohawk Sheps might lose their hair, there are no major characters I can think of that require that style to be available. But it seems clear that they just build each game from the same set of resources, editing old ones and adding new ones as needed, rather than starting from scratch each time (both because of what's on the disk, and because my god the time they'd waste otherwise), so I can't see why they'd actually go out of their way to delete the mesh from the files rather than just ignoring it.

The only problem I can see as likely is people who use TexMod to add Ashley's face texture. If they change the name or location of the femShep face textures, that tpf won't work in ME3. But that would take all of forty seconds to fix. Modded armors may be a little more of an issue if the current C.ini tools don't work on ME3 resources, but I have faith in the mod community to update them pretty promptly. Worst case scenario, you just have to kick around in N7 for a while.

Yeah, pretty unFinnish so to speak. Wasted opportunity, he asked pretty useless questions.

One of my raid0 disks just started to give massive issues. Running chkdisk at the moment and it does not look good... I might not be able to boot into windows again. Good thing that I have recent image backup. I do wonder if I can still save some recent game saves and screenshots. At least I can do something with my Galaxy S (I am writing this with it at the moment).

@ Shenzi - GAWD i love kate. love all the sheps, but kate is just amazing. and since you were so kind to loan her saves to me for the vid, i got to see how nicely she animates in game. she's just terrific. i think she looks a lot like the new default, only properly aged and badass.

I posted a host of tips on modding stuff on my blog. it's mostly about hairstuff and getting NPC armor. the textmod stuff is stuff i haven't played with much, but the folks here are good at it. akodo, scampermax, and ELE have some awesome stuff. also hypergateway. i might be forgetting who else - sorry in advance for that.

Texmod is the one type of mod I'm not worried about because regardless of whether said texture is in the game it will transfer over. IE, my face texmods have both ME1 and ME2 versions. I saved all my source images, so whipping up the ME3 version should be pretty quick.

Assuming they don't completely overhaul face textures, which I think is unlikely since people will still need to be able to transfer over import faces from the 1st two games. Even if they add extra CC options, the base options from the previous games should still be there.

File location is kind of a moot point for textures, a new tpf will need to be created for ME3 regardless.

edit - those who added ie. Ashley's face texture using Gibbed editor will likely run into visual problems 1) because they updated her skins for ME3 and 2) File locations will likely be a little different and Gibbed pulls in-game resources
Luckily I imagine this will only manifest in one jacked up looking face, which can be fixed in the CC

Double edit - assuming Ash's ME1 & ME2 face texture is not in ME3, it's an easy fix to texmod it into ME3.

@Tup - Good luck with the drive, I hope you can salvage the data off of it.

We're paranoid about data loss in our house, we have a server that does nightly backups and also use Crash Plan for daily off site backups. I doubt my husband had my ME stuff on his mind when setting all this up but I certainly consider that important data.

@Sage - Thank you, I was glad to be able to help with your video.  I really hope that we get those freckles from the default for ME3, Kate's supposed to have freckles but they never show up.

@Ottemis – Thank you The CC challenge was an interesting experience, I'm actually tempted to play Gwen and Amanda before ME3 rolls around.
