Here's a question for all of y'allz; what is your Shep going to be up to after the whole reaper business?

Many, many ideas have crossed Lili's mind for when the war is over, but she plans to settle down on Bekenstien and live out her life with the various Spectre missions. And for those, she'll drag Garrus with her. If not that, she shall live on the Normandy and continue to kill mercs, nuke planets, blow up enemy bases and do a ton of other sh*t she considers 'normal' for her (just  with less inpounding doom of the Reapers, less giant bugs and less synthetic zombies)

Bekenstein is the place to go.

Olivia's gonna probably remain a Spectre, but be more of a police detective/SWAT leader/information broker than a galaxy saving super agent. Something like Aria. She deserves a long rest. Besides, it's not like she'll retire from ass kicking altogether -- the wealthy snobs on Bekenstein could use reality...check.

And she'll have Liara.

UJ will want to leave it all behind, retire to some planet no one ever heard of before and forget everything (except for Liara).  That’s what she will want to do, but (if she survives) she’ll continue to command the Normandy in an effort to help w/ galactic reconstruction.  Hopefully, she’ll be promoted to full Captain by then.  She did save the galaxy a few times. After about five years she’ll retire from the Alliance for good.  After this she and Liara would get hitched and start a family.  I’d like to see her become human councilor at some point, (playing a very “active” role in the political system).  Assuming the Cerberus implants do indeed increase her life span (or at least don’t kill her) she will retire from the Council after a rather lengthy stay.  In her 60s she will retire to her parent’s ranch on Mindoir where she will spend the rest of her life w/ Liara and their blue children.

Depends on what happens in the end. I'm actually aiming to kill Zody. All tragic and heroic. I'm a terrible person! OMG!

But if everything goods well then I want Shepard to first have like a two year vocation on a private beach or something. And if someone comes to her door asking for help with a mission she has every right to shot them. But after that I see her being a teacher or mentor to baby Spectres. Maybe even returning to the Alliance for a time. Eventually, the marriage, 2.5 kids, and white picket fence thing just because of her background being so messed up she doesn't think she is capable of having something 'normal' like that. Be nice to prove her wrong.

She'll be done after the war.  Not done helping people, but definitely done working on a galactic stage.  No more political machinations or anything of the sort.  She and Liara will relax for a few years, probably find some isolated nowhere planet to get away from the galaxy for a while.  At least until their (first) daughter is born.

I imagine Alice will want to raise her daughter somewhere that's populated, but not too populated.  Someplace that has a big mish-mash of races.  Nothing as crowded as the Citadel, and probably not even anything within Citadel space.  In my unpublished fic, I had to invent a world which used to be asari, but had a steady influx of humans and turians following the war.

Alice will train colonial defense teams, private security groups, give the occasional speech, and so on.  Liara will likely resume work as an information broker, assisting Alice with certain functions.  She'll also try to recover some of the Shadow Broker's information network (since you gotta imagine the Shadow Broker's base is gonna be destroyed come ME3), but likely won't get all of it, since there are definitely going to be other interested parties after the network.

I'm thinking Rylie will probably take a short vacation, short because she'll probably get bored quick. Probably inadvertently do some work helping some stranger while on vacation. Then she will go on to do Spectre business, only a lot more solo like missions. If the Alliance needs her for secret missions, she'll be there. If a mission is a little more than what she can handle alone, she'll probably call on some of her old squad mates to join her if they can. Particularly she'll want to really avoid the spotlight of fame brought on from saving the galaxy.

If Thane lives I'm sure she'll bring him along. If he gets worse and succumbs to his illness, I'm sure her vacation will be much longer before she gets bored and goes off on her Spectre adventures.

And she'll keep doing Spectre business until she dies or goes crazy or gets so old someone has to force her wrinkly butt into a nursing home.

There's quite a good post over at The Mary Sue regarding Bioware and crowd-sourcing. It's a good read, and it involves femShep. It's not meant to start a flame-war here or anything, but rather, I imagine there are those of you here who will enjoy it.

This is the problem, Bioware. By notably crowdsourcing decisions specifically related to the appearances of your female characters, it makes it look less and less like you want to engage an excited fanbase, and more like you aren’t really invested in the outcome.

Worse, it also sort of makes it look like you can’t judge when an issue may wander you into the territory of overly stereotypical representations of gender and sexuality. If you’re willing to let the public decide how your characters will be interpreted by others, this would imply that you yourself are not completely invested in how your characters are interpreted.

Agree or disagree, it's a good read overall.

Well Jennifer doesn't really want to give up on her career, but at the same time, she doesn't want to do this forever. She probably will be around until the galaxy recovers, then leave the spectres and like Zody, either train spectres or generally work in a less 'shoot stuff up' job. Eventually, I see her settling with Kaidan and become a family, but that will wait for a while.

If Jane suddenly develops a love interest (or if her crush on Zaeed makes it as a LI in ME3) she'll have something to live for, despite being a Spacer and therefore having an alive mother. In that case, she and LI (Zaeed) will start up a mercenary company, kill off (or assimilate the better parts of) the competition ("Yeah, we're coming for ya Vido!") and live a violent (and possibly short) life of sex, drinks and hypervelocity rounds.

If not, she'll heroically die annihilating the reapers.

If Sarah survives she will take a small vacation but she will want to get the galaxy back on it's legs. She will probably stay as a Spectre and continue her peacekeeping of the galaxy. Alot will also depend on the Alliance and what they want, there's a strong chance that she will listen to General Septimus and reach the higher ranks. Sarah can't see herself with kids, mostly because the one she loved turned his back on her and that falling in love is a good way to cloud your judgement and get people killed. It will take something very special to make her consider a family but as always she doubt she's mother material

Who wont need a vacation after that! 

Although Amelia being an action girl, her idea of a vacation is probably stemming the tide of mercs who try to capitalise on the Galatic chaos that will ensue after the Reaper inevitable defeat!  

Ahhh nothing quite as relaxing as saving a slave convoy and getting rid of a few mercs
