Valentina - Engineer. She has dorky glasses too!

Earthborn/War Hero - Valentina Shepard is not her real name.  She took the names Valentina Tereshkova (first woman in space) and Allen Shepard (second American in space).

Diane - my pro-Cerberus infiltrator. Sole Survivor/Ruthless

I think she is preset #2 ...

And complexion #2.

She's loosely based on Frank Miller's Martha Washington.

Inflitrator is a lot of fun. I can't stand there and take the hits like my soldier can, but I am absolutely spoiled by the invisibility and setting off explosive containers while stealthed. It's nice not picking up every single piece of ammo on the ground, that's for sure. Don't need 'em like my soldier does!

Agreed.  But wait until you've got the Widow.  That rifle's an ammo pig, but sooo nice for taking out the tough bad guys.

Are we still talking about post-Reaper War shenannigans? Jakarta wouldn't understand the concept of "vacation" if it smacked her in the face. She's a Spectre and an Alliance soldier. Her duty is to put herself, bodily and with pointy guns, between evil and the innocent, until such time as either evil or the innocent cease to exist. Since neither is likely any time soon, she'll probably take five minutes to kiss Ash senseless in a bold moment of victorious glee, and then get right back to the business of taking down slavers and negotiating ceasefires and all that other fun Spectre stuff, with Ash and Garrus and Grunt at her side if she can manage it (the first two because they're family and there's no one else she'd want at her back, the third because she's realized she's his apparently his mom and feels an obligation to make sure he grows up right).

Varick would do the same for completely different reasons; she's out for redemption, and will never believe she's earned it no matter how much good she does, so she can't quit or stop putting herself out there to save the universe either. She would probably take some time on Intai'sei with Thane, though, and not go back to Spectreing until he dies.

IDK about the rest of my Sheps. Kuan Yin* might retire with Liara and have lots of blue babies, though. She's the type to keep her word.

* @OG: Yeah, I found a bunch of different romanizations of the name, and the two-word K construction seemed to best convey the impression I wanted for her, at least to my Western ear. I spend a lot of time on baby name sites for my own writing, so at any given time when I start up an RPG I have about thirty names with potentially appropriate meanings written down somewhere that I can use. ("Jakarta" was pure Mass Effect from the start, though; as soon as I read in the Codex that Alliance cruisers are named after cities, I knew my little Spacer baby was going to be as well, and from there it was just finding the right city in her nation of origin).

Commander Shepard, the Bandit Killer?

ToP Shep!

Mara: "We should totally become a modern-day Robin Hood and company!"
Liara: "What brought this up?"
Mara: "I dunno. I just think the sight of Garrus in tights would be hilarious."

I was thinking of Lina Inverse's nickname.
("Where there are monsters, I will slay them! Where there are loose credits lying around, I will claim it!")

Though your bit of dialogue does inspire me to think:
Mass Effect: Turians in Tights!

Villagers: LEAVE US ALONE MEL BROOKS!!!!

I don't know. I was more thinking of ST:TNG's episode where they did go into Robin Hood on the Holodeck.

Wrex: "Commander, I am NOT a Merry Man!" ;)

OTOH, my FemShep Renee would help with the clean up after the war, and if there's still time until mandatory retirement for the Alliance Navy, becoming the Chairwoman of the Board of Inspection and Survey, and essentially use her status as a Living Legend to pull everyone's standards up. After that, somewhere quietly civilized for a long life with Liara.

Hidey ho, fellow femShep fans! I don't know if it was in here or in the demotivational thread, but someone mentioned playing through ME and ME2 with Fraps set to take a screenshot every one second. I thought it was brilliant, and I just finished ME with "my canon" Kaelia Shepard. She's the only one I got! Anyway, I was perusing my screenshots for funny ones and I stumbled across this one at the very end. It...I just kept grinning like a moron every time I looked at it. It perfectly captures the essence of who my Shepard is underneath the armor. When she's not "Commander (bleep)ing Shepard," this is who she is. It just struck me, and I figured you fine folks may appreciate it. ^___^

As for the current discussion of "what would your Shepard do after the war," my answer is pretty much the most boring one. Kaelia's a street rat orphan turned recruit turned war hero due to her stubborn refusal to ever let The Bad Guys win. If the war was over and both she and Kaidan survived, she would continue to help however she could, but the second he popped the "want to settle down and make babies" question, she'd jump on it (and him) in a heartbeat. She never had a normal childhood, never knew what it was like to have a 'real' family. They'd move wherever they want and be a boring, elated couple.

Eee! Cookies! *noms away* ^_^

And yeah, I was surprised! Every other shot of her looks pretty derpy, but that one shining one just captured her perfectly. I probably would've squee'd, if the hubby wasn't sleeping. XD

For me most of my screenshots either are with my Shep frowning like crazy or doing a derp face in ME1, in ME2 she stopped frowning and now smirks randomly but still do alot of derp faces and suprised faces ^^

Oh I never missed it :P

GameStop were practically forcing code fliers out on people and more then a few forum members had spare codes. Someone nicely gave me one :) B)

Of course you only do it for the gun.  Who wears this out and about!   Without the helmet of course it would make a cool renegade femshep outfit...  such a shame Bioware totally misjudged it.

Disclaimer: before you complement me on drawing, I just did the coloring. A friend did the actual line art.

Anyway, this is how I envision Mara when she's just relaxing on the Normandy or is out on shore leave. She wears the goggles because, well, she's a dork. Simple as that. The really hard to see squigglie line behind her dog-tag chain is a tattoo that says "Liara" and you can kind of see the ring on her left hand.
