I just did the cabin scene w/ fraps set to snap a scene every second. Anyway, I've never seen this expression on Liara's face. Something is definitely going on in that pretty blue head.

I googled, but I cannot remember where I originally read this so take this hearsay with a grain of salt -- I did see something that said that ME3 romance scenes wouldn't be the boring fully-clothed fade-to-black type of scenes like in ME2, that there'd be something more to it this time. It might have been a twitter type of quote in one of the threads.

I freaking hate Legion's loyalty mission. It's the only mission I still don't know what the proper thing to do is. They're just machines! In a video game! Why is it so complicated? =p

I'm still working on all the loyalty missions in my femshep Penny's play-through so I don't have too many romantic shots. so here is all I have of her and Thane so far.

It is a good dialog, though, made me pretty impressed with Tali. She actually managed to make me feel bad for a second. o.O

Legion's is so weird with the sudden switch at the end, but at least the renegade justification is totally a legit renegade reason. Renegades tend to be risk-averse, and would rather kill something now so it's not a problem later. I have a couple who do blow up the base for exactly that reason.

Every one of my paragons blows up the base too, though. I just kind of grit my teeth and ignore the words actually coming out of Shep's mouth, and pretend she said "You said yourself that geth believe in the right of sapients to self-determinate. By your own standards, rewriting is wrong. Conveniently, it's wrong by mine too. Would you look at that, we've got consensus!"



(Varick rewrote. She also thinks it's wrong. But she's not above doing the wrong thing if it gives galactic life an edge up on the Reapers. She's damned anyway, after all, it's not like she can stain her soul any worse.)

(And hey, sinister just looks good on her.)

Penny is way up higher as a Paragon, but she also shot first on Miranda's loyalty mission, threw the guy off the roof during Thane's recruitment mission and a couple other random renegade decisions that seemed more practical to me. I mean the camera pans to a gas line or something..I am going to shoot that. Oh, I didn't let the guy finish fixing his aircraft during Garus's recruitment mission either.

and of course stuck her gun into the face of the recruiter for Garus's mission that this thread title mentions.

I agree, though. that decision is hard.

while kyrie makes her decisions for her own reasons, they all happen to be what i think is right. that one was hard for me to choose, but i went with gut instinct: blew it every damn time. reasoning? if they are sapients, then they deserve the dignity of not being brainwashed, but of living - and dying- by their choices. if they are not, they are machines that broke once and may do so again. either way, safe thing is to break the bad computer.

erm, yeah. i play paragrade. mostly try to be the hero, but i don't include AIs in that. guess i'm speciesist...

@Verly -- What inspired the hairstyle change? Just curious.

@Quething and Sagequeen -- I nuke them for the same reason. Better safe than sorry. Sometimes I wonder if this will mean that geth won't be as likely to join forces in ME3 since there's less of them or I wiped half of them out or something. I haven't taken too many squadmates on that particular mission (in one game, I sold Legion to Cerebus *sniff, sniff*), but I do recall Thane and Garrus playing the moral card (Garrus was more neutral about it though while Thane had more outrage) at the thought of a rewrite. I can't recall what Tali's reaction was, but I was impressed with Jack because she just put herself in their shoes instead. She'd rather die as she was than be forced to become a mouthbreather.

I've actually mostly stopped doing that one. It's just... much too mild. And the recruiter doesn't even blink; he's certainly not at all intimidated. Kind of makes it feel posturing.



(Varick really would have just shot him and found her own way to Archangel. Damn these computer RPGs and their naturally restrictive freedom of choice!)

@Gilsa: Tali is against rewrite on ethical reasons as well. She says something along the lines of "if you believe in the right to self-determinate, how can you talk about taking that right away from them?"

Her dialog with Legion during their loyalty conflict casts doubt on whether she really means that, or she just doesn't want Shep to do anything to make the geth potentially stronger, though.

(I was a bit surprised that Garrus was pro-rewrite at the end. More of the general weirdness of the whole mission, since he's the first one to compare it to indoctrination, right out of the gate.)

Rumor mill says their will be sexy sexytimez. Me, all I want is for enough to be shown for us to know they are going to have sex now. For example: after Garrus' head bump he could have just turned around and left. Thane, you do get a nice kiss before it fades to black. Jacob at least takes his shirt off. And Liara you just get a head thrown back. Its a 'Mature' rated game, everyone who plays it should at least be 18 or older and show far it nothing worse than what you see on TV anyways. Just asking for something sexy and tasteful.

Plus Zody has been celibate for 3 years(?) now, there had better not be pants anywhere near her quarters.

Be careful, Zody. If Joker knows about the 'pant thingy', your cabin may fill up with tons of pant after the shore leave and a note from him "Commander, this is the very least I can do to make you feel better, or so to speak."
