I only played Arrival once so i cant remember if their was a 'no way am i going to court' option. ... bah, who knows...

Since hundreds of thousands of batarians died, Admiral Hackett says that batarians will want blood and there's just enough evidence for a witchhunt. The Alliance doesn't want war with the batarians so there will be a trial. Hackett said to wrap things up and when Earth calls, be there with dress blues on to face the music. Shepard has three final responses here:

- I'll turn myself in.
- I appreciate the delay.
- They should be thanking me. (Hackett will say it doesn't matter, that they will be looking for a scapegoat to avoid open war.)

So no matter what, Shepard will voluntarily turn herself in and show up for trial. I was surprised to see the handcuffs in the comics, but hey, whatever adds to the opening scene drama of ME3. =p

I've been playing Mass Effect. It really is different then 2, but I'm getting the hang of it. at first the Mako was driving me nuts, but I think I've got the hang of it as well. I did remake Penny (I should have taken some shots...I'll have them up next time I play). I also made a femshep I named Quinn because Penny WILL be a Thane romance and I want to see if I like Kaidan or Liara.

Hah. And I think you'll be happy you did ME1 because I recently played a brand-new ME2 game (with no imports) and was blown away by the sheer amount of stuff that was just missing. You'll gain a lot more cameos (and maybe some boring emails, but hey) in ME2 this way.

I *think* the Mako is coming back in some form for ME3 so it's good that you're experiencing it first hand.

I used a website called masseffectsaves that I used for ME2, so I already had a lot of detail in the game I was playing (that I also where I got the name Penny from).

I wanted to make decisions myself and get to know the characters that I love from ME2 (Garrus and Tali) and learn more about the people that I didn't really know anything about (Kaidan, Ashley, and Liara. in Penny's game I'm working on getting Liara now. I keep getting my butt kicked on the planet to find her.
