A bit late to the answering of this question, but oh well...

Have you tried to recreate your Sheps in other games?
Kind of, but not exactly. In every game where I have the choice to create a character, I do create a female with brown or raven hair and brown eyes, she tends to specialize in sniping, she tends to be rather paragade, always seeking the most just outcome, but not taking crap from anyone, she tends to be sarcastic when she can be, but is often quite caring, and she is named Artemis.
This is a very similar character outline to Artemis in Mass Effect, but beyond that all similarities end, and each Artemis is her own character in her own story, shaped by the events of (and prior to) that story. So, Artemis in ME is rather different from Artemis in Torchlight, Artemis in Fallout 3, Artemis in Fallout: New Vegas (who is also rather different from the FO3 character), Artemis in Borderlands, etc. I'm sure they will all be different from Artemis in Dragon Age: Origins when I get around to playing that, and she will be different from Artemis in Mount & Blade when I get around to that, and she will... and so on.
Fallout 3 Artemishttp://cloud.steampo...1AB8A48D1B161F/http://cloud.steampo...A41F1392A123B5/Fallout: New Vegas Artemishttp://cloud.steampo...EB06D59B6F8272/http://cloud.steampo...84EF1E653C897C/While those two "Artemis"s look rather similar, they don't really look anything like Artemis Shepard. But they aren't meant to. Aside: I really like the Fallout 3/NV "Rosie the Riveter" hairstyle.
Borderlands Artemishttp://cloud.steampo...EC229935848788/Obviously not much to see there, since there's no flycam for Borderlands (BOOO!!!). Went with a lighter brown hair for her, because darker or black contrasts too much with the pale skin of the Siren class.
And, of course, there's the "real" Artemis: Artemis Shepard.
