It strikes me that I'm very predictable about Overlord...

Usually I vary my squadmates a lot more. Jakarta rolls Team BFF (Garrus/Kasumi), with occasional Thane or Grunt in hostile environments (insert "real armor for ME3" sig here). Varick typically carts around Grunt and either Jack or Tali, depending on what enemies the level's got. Serenity usually has two of Zaeed/Mordin/Thane. Marrkhi seems to have gotten in the habit of Miranda/Samara with occasional Legion.

But apparently I always, always bring either Zaeed or Garrus or both down to Aite. Most curious!

Yeah, it's pretty common for very skilled multiplayer FPS gamers to play female toons when possible, because the hitbox is usually so much smaller that it actually does make a real difference to performance.

Wow, the things you learn. And, yeah, I can see how even a 5% smaller hitbox can be a rather big edge.

(I think in ME1 they tried to line up the Sheps a bit more than is usual, which is why femShep's neck often seems somewhat giraffelike; it also helps them cut corners on animations and especially camera placement if they stretch her a bit).

I think they did a decent job of making it not completely obvious (though there's serious room for improvement on clipping in shared animations), but sometimes femShep's relative tininess really is glaringly hilarious. The Shadow Broker fight springs to mind...

Was femShep using the same animations as manShep in ME1 too? I though she at least danced better than him in ME1 in Flux, but I may be misremembering...

I suppose it's how you wear it, Alice has always loved that little black number...

I suppose it depends on the Shep though, as Cassandra is much better off without it.

I personally think it's all to do with the hair cut.

But wearing the Alliance uniform on a Cerberus vessel is quite fun

slightly, OT, but i finally made my kyrie-ish lady hawke for DA2

Kyrie:

personality is actually rather different. it's more that they spawned from the same original Cousland from DA:O and went in slightly different ways.

it took me a bazillion tries in the DA2 CC to get a toon that animated like kyrie. something about the lady hawkes makes them very 'pretty'. it's really hard to get them to be human-looking but not overly beautiful. anyhooo, there's my caster-who-acts-like-a-paladin character. obligatory that i play that way at least once every RPG game.

but she likes shopping, so clearly she's not kyrie. =]

I like it, the freckles take a bit of getting used to because on all her images they are quite subtle. Its impossible to get subtle on a black and white t-shirt though!

Not much of the game is more awesome then beating the reporter with her own weapons. One of the best lines of the game is the paragon response. <3

I don't use a PC so is there a way to like, pull up the ME2 facecode, or something? I made my first FemShep recently and was impressed my my ability to make one that 1) Looks like a woman 2) looks like an attractive woman 3) looks like what I intended, right down to the ethnicity, and DOESN'T look asian.

Bear in mind I did that with the ORIGINAL mass effect's shepard creator, so yeah. I am your god.

*pat pat*  Here's a cookie.
But yes, top of the squadscreen if made in ME2, if you made her in ME1 the only way to get a code is to recreate it.

I've spent more time than I care to consider trying to find a "casual" outfit that fits Jakarta. One of the two Alliance uniforms would theoretically be best, but during ME2 she doesn't feel like she deserves them; she considers herself a traitor every minute she's flying a Cerberus ship. (Why was there no "I know. I hope someday you can forgive me. I hope someday I can forgive myself" dialog option on Horizon?) She's sure as hell not going to wear anything with a Cerberus logo, though. And the cargo-pants mesh generally feels a bit too casual to me. So I waffle between a couple TexMods.

(She wore the blue on Kasumi's loyalty. Jakarta does not wear dresses, particularly not ones with short skirts.)

In my head-canon, Lena doesn't really care all that much for the dress, but she tries to pretend long enough to break into Hock's vault. She masks her distaste well, yes?

Is this a recent version of her? I always got the impression she's more paragon than that.

Edit: Oh, and how is DAII these days? I got it a week after release and gave up on it in disgust (at that point, the only thing I still liked was the CC). I believe 1.03 made a big difference, but have not had the heart to try it again.

that's on lazarus station right after waking up. and in conversations with cerberus, she's pretty b*Tchy. isn't until she starts actually saving people that the paragon points kick in, but in the end, i think she's about 40% renegade to the full bar of paragon.

and da2, i'm really liking it. it's funny, i totally disliked dao at first and so loved da2. then i played dao again and liked it okay this last run, so da2 was a little disappointing to me after playing an amell thorugh origins and awakening. still, i like da2. i was getting my a** handed to me on nightmare difficulty, so i'm having to get used to hard difficulty first. the healing abilities suck in da2, imo.

and to keep it back OT, i seriously wish there was a game that had both the friendship and rivalry AND paragon/renegade. i just love getting feedback on my character's action. i think it's because in real life, i seriously wish i got instant feedback on whether i'd done the right thing/offended someone, etc. it's this total fantasy of mine to know if things came off exactly the way i intended them to.

i guess this is why i like writing. you can go back and edit at a later day before showing it to the world. actual conversations, ya just got to go with things on the fly.

 yep, randomness from my head this morning...
