Pretentious is a word that has meaning, and in this context it is a specific criticism of behavior, one that remains consistent throughout my argument and not something I have distanced myself from in my later posts as you're implying.

What "other questions" has he raised? He addressed a specific topic, and you and others have proceeded to avoid discussing it in favor of harping on what does or does not constitute trolling despite the stated and repeatedly corroborated sincerity of his argument.

Or is the topic of this thread constrained to picspamming and backpatting? I really don't see what kind of world he is destroying by raising the topic of face code sharing. I'm interested in reading it, personally, less so squirrelly evasions and declarations of "NO, YOU ARE A TROLL". It seems pretty on-topic to a thread about the custom protagonist.

Don't worry, I'm sure we'll have this settled way before we approach that record.

But you're right; facecodes aren't that big of a deal.  People ought to just share them, it'd be as easy as breathing.

Edit:  You know, on second thought the fact that the person who posted above me conveniently shares all of their Shepards with a simple link in their signature says more than my incredulous sniping could.

Easy now. Some people really like knowing that the Shepard they created can't be replicated. It's their creation. I only give out codes to people who I know (on BSN) and trust. There's nothing wrong with that.

And then...

No, when you put it like that it still doesn't seem all that reasonable to me. It sounds... what's the word?  Petty....But then I've literally given out my Shepard's facecodes hundreds of times over the years, I'm biased.

But why not look at the definition of butthurt?

Don't get mad, Jamie. This is the problem of people who doesn't have to face the consequence of what they say over the internet. Like I said before, I dare them to complain the 'injustice' of their company right in front of their boss. If any person could do that, they have earn the right to rant anyone and anything on internet. All of the problem is come from  anonymous and we all know this is what make internet sucks big time....<sighs>

There are always people who insist to force their POV onto others, the best way is to ignore them and laugh at them at the same time. Have another femshep

You obviously don't know me.  Pretending to is a bit insulting, but as you say this is the internet and anonymity brings the worst out of people.  Like not sharing facecodes with people they don't have to look in the face as they deny them. 

...okay, that was rather melodramatic. 

Fact is, I raised an objection.  We have not moved past the grave affront to the tranquility of the Femshep thread I have apparently caused by having an opinion, and are now arguing as to what crimes I should be charged with, with this post being offered as a form of "expert testimony."

It's absurd.

The root of this seems to be, as impolitic as some people may have expressed it, is that people here are putting their work on display for the purpose of sharing it with others. Yet when asked to share the facecodes, some people are restrictive. To some this likely sems unfair and selfish. While I get the desire to control one's work and the attachment to your creation as stated earlier, perhaps you can see why some would see this negatively? It's like holding out a shiny bauble and saying: "No, you can't have this - only maybe a select FEW people in my special circle can have it!"

Mind you, I side with creators maintaining control over their creations and doing whatever they want with their codes (including withholding them for their own personal reasons), but I can also see why some people find it somewhat...ungenerous behavior.

What you don't seem to realize is that he's not interested in "ending this." And he's not saying people should share because he does. He's saying people should share because it's the right thing to do.
