Forgive me for wanting to hear positive discussions instead of the same old tired complaining.

"Hey guys," some people weren't here back in the summer when "we had that stupid vote."  Subjects are going to come up again and again, especially as people come and go.  Yeah, there are a lot of regular posters here, but not everyone has been here since "the beginning" and not everyone can be here all the time.  Saying "not this crap again" to someone who wasn't even here kind of sucks, how the heck are they supposed to know?  Discuss it, ignore it, or change the subject to something you'd rather talk about.  Why even bother arguing about it?  I'm a little taken aback at the pissiness myself.  I hope it's just general venting, frustration over lack of new info, or other issues, or whatever.  

A little forethought in wording is always a good thing in keeping things civil.    It's easy to take things personally when they are worded in a fashion that implies "You're wrong and I'm right."  Just saying.

Is it time to gloss over the conflict with screenshots?

It was not my intention to produce hostility.  I was merely expressing my opinion on the discussion.  It was more of a 'we should probably avoid this subject' kinda thing, but my own personal feelings and lack of amusement on fixation with physical appearances leaked through.

My apologies, I did not mean to single anyone out inparticular.  I'll just go be grumpy over in the corner.

This, definitely this.  Remember how a few people popped in here a few months back, myself among them, mentioning how clique-ish and exclusive this thread can feel sometimes?  This is definitely part of the reason.  When new people come to to the thread, they have not taken part in the previous discussions.  This is a public forum, not a private group.  If you don't want to have the same conversations over and over again (until new content comes out), then the people who have the problem with it should duck out and create their own private group and only invite their friends.  The forum is for everyone.

Anyone should be able to come into this thread and bring up any FemShep-related topic without having people jump down their throats because "OMG STRANGER WE HAVE SO TALKED ABOUT THIS STFU".  There have been some really, really snide comments made in the last couple of pages in this regard.  It discourages people from taking part.

And I find it slightly offensive because I'm barely 20, and Jane already looks wayyyy better than I do. If I already look like a weathered hag at the tender age of 20...30 must be....oh god.
