i thought me1 imports generally looked better because, so far as i can tell, if you do a straight up import (no tweaks) the eyelash meshes from ME1 stay on. if you get an me2 face or tweak it at all, the char has no eyelashes. at least, this is what happened to me and what i could find online in my searching.
so straight across from me1 imports have lashes on and me2 chars do not, so far as i can tell. sometimes thsi means the eyelashes clip, but other times it means they look way more awesome. this is why i took my toon and tweaked her appearance with gibbed but didn't dare mess with her in the character import screen.
I chose to do a default playthrough for my last run (for curiosity's sake), and I had to reload the character creator twice after she appeared with no eyelashes. Was fine the 3rd time though.

I've encountered the eyelash thing, but not the same as you've described. I only get no eyelashes when starting an import ME1 character game (both using import face or a new face.) But the eyelashes come back permanently after I save, exit out, and reload the game.
The one thing I don't like about using the import face is the makeup values have changed, so what looked alright in the first game looks much darker and garish in the second (mostly the blush.)

hmm... you sure it just wasn't a glitch? I edited my DudeShep and he had his lashes.... and I edited my FemShep before I edited further with gibbed and she has lashes:

Somebody hide my wallet, all the screenshots of Overlord look pretty cool. I'm waiting on LotSB before I get anymore DLC though. Is there much dialogue?

Thanks! I'm not normally the type who records myself playing games, but I'll see what I can do once LOTSB hits.
Thanks in advance, Firey! I appreciate it.
Oh, and sage? Excellent screenshots! Very nice!

In Overlord, yes, you can say so. However, squadmates are muted.ELE08 wrote...

Get overlord, it is insanely amazing. And yes that one line by Hale on the dish is amazing. Delivered perfectly.

this. hale's delivery is awesome. squaddies say nothing. the scientist is voiced by loghain, so that was fun. very atmospheric DLC. some awesome "ooh!" moments and some very, very creepy stuff, too.

Really? Logain? I never liked him but I really liked the scientist. Plus him and Hale seemed to work well together. ELE08 GET IT GET IT GET IT. No pressure of course:wizard:

I'm ready for some new content with FemShep # I don't really want to know. She's raided Jack's closet and is ready to get some killin' done. I know a lot of people aren't a fan of the facial scarring but I love it on her.

The ME1 version of Jane Shepard is actually beautiful in my eyes. Here is her in ME2 (imported from ME1):xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...
Ok, that'd be cool for those of us who would like FemShep on the cover. But like I said...default FemShep is nowhere near as polished as Sheploo (skin texture wise) and her face is just.... blech ... imo. They really should have put more time into Jane Shepard. Of course, that would have cost them another face model, which means extra money... cheap bastards. I'd like a FemShep cover, but I just don't like the look of Jane. =/
The ME2 default version, however, is not.
I wasn't aware there was a difference. Interesting.
I wish somebody would put up three screens for me to see it. That would just confirm that ME1 imports are somehow deformed (I know that lighting takes a big part in this). Like this:

First picture is how I created my char in ME1, it doesn't look well in CC mode, but she was perfect during the game:

Second pic is the import - somehow the eyes a set too far apart, or it wasn't noticeable in ME1. It irked me, so I recreated to the thrid picture. Then, I imported sliders to ME1 again and got this:

Not much of a difference from 2.0, at least not enough to see any. Never saved sliders for 2.0, so can't really compare.

I take it that is some kind of TexMod?

That is quite awesome, ELE. I love her tattoo! Great work! I've noticed that facially, your Shepards appear quite unique and distictive, in addition to obviously being quite attractive. Excellent job!

Jane Shepard wrote...
I like default Jane Shepard. I didn't change her apperance in both games. Well... there is a difference between her appearance in Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2. The events of the second game take place after two years (the same is possible to see in Tomb Raider Legend, Anniversary and Underworld)... Jane looks a bit older. But she is beautiful:)
Ah, now this is something I can attest to. In Mass Effect 2, my Kate Shepard appears subtly older and more mature when compared with her appearance in ME1. It's hard to properly explain or describe, but she seems to be aged and more worn to a greater extent.
She's still amazingly sexy, of course! I love her more mature look!

Because of the naturally better textured faces in ME2? I don't know. She's the default ME1 Jane, exported to ME2. That's how she looks in-game.xxSgt_Reed_24xx wrote...

Oh there is, jlb! It's been known for some time now, though not many are aware of it. The ME1 version is a light-year more attractive than the ME2 version of Jane. I'm thankful I played ME1 with the default appearance as a female.
I disagree.
That picture looks a million times better than the ME1 default Jane.
I think the available lighting is a huge factor. There are some locations in ME 2 where a "mostly" default Jane imported from ME 1 will look uncharacteristically charming. Here's another screenie of a "mostly" default Jane imported from ME 1 (she's a light brunette with brown eyes):

She seems to be evoking her newfound inner Saren in this one. I'd better keep an eye on her.
