I like Skyrim CC. One of the best I've seen so far along with ME and DA. Well this is my character named Septima Varn.

I made an attempt to recreate her in ME.
So here is Septima Shepard.

Discussion topic: In ME1 or ME2. What mission/side mission weight the most on Shepard's heart? Which one effected her the most?

Original Jane: BDtS and leaving Kaidan on Virmire. She would almost gleefully have done Arrival if I had that DLC (at least she did in my head-canon). BIG HOWEVER, though...
Jane 2, AKA Kassia, actually saved the three hostages during BDtS (I won't bore you guys with the details of why), and while starting off strong renegade, now has about 5/16 bars paragon and only 4/16 bars renegade (with only Feros complete and ready to save Liara). I don't know how she became so much nicer. She may also leave Ashley behind this time round. I think she's still the rutless spacer Jane 1 was, just was affected much more by Torfan and thus tries harder to preserve lives where she can. Despite personally sniping two of the Feros colonists (it takes a lot more to do that than have them die to friendly fire with an AR for instance). I dunno, she's not turning out quite as ruthless as her predecessor.

So my question then:
Do any of your Shepards start having a life of their own in this kind of sense, where they somehow just break away from what you thought they would turn out like? Do you love them more or less for it?

I have to agree with the 3 of you. But is it fair to point out that for Saren or TIM it probably started in the same manner; but along the way something went wrong (or maybe they were psycho from the beginning); in the public eyes how can we differentiate Shepard from them?

The morals and actions in terms of how they accomplish their goals can be used to differentiate. But now that you mentioned it, it would seem that Shepard isn't that much different from them considering what happened in Arrival (unless you make the paragon choices of feeling great guilt and ready to face the consequences). However I would like ot think that Shepard still retains her (or his) humanity and sense of honor unlike Saren and TIM. For Saren and TIM it would seem like what they want to do is absolute and there is no other way. I guess if you made Shepard think the same way as them, then they wouldn't be all that different.

3) She's secretly Councilor/Admiral Andersons daughter, but only because he donated Sperm at the request of the Alliance after first contact and even so she sees him as a father figure in her life.

Now this is cool.  A very very interesting little twist that makes her unique among Shepards (besides the eyebrow choice which is an uncommon choice and makes her face stand out as well).  Great character design!

re: Sbarge's Kaidan message... gah, stupid work on the day after Thanksgiving.  I now have to wait eight hours to hear it.  >whimper<

So going to save it to my computer when I do, though.

I really like her bio. It really shows deepness in her emotions. I'm really hoping that ME 3 will support it. We had a hint that it might be the case.

Thank you both yeah I though when I did her skin tone after making her Earthborn to have anderson be her biological father, which is why she ended up being unde rhis command after Akuze (I had her also oversleeping the day of the patrol so by the time she caught up to her unit the Thresher Maws were already rampaging and she could only watch.Posted Image

I've been avoiding the forums to keep myself from spoiling myself ME3, and got busy with other games meanwhile. How can one not try out Skyrim, anyway? :)

Skyrim CC is... a mixed bag for me. The game promises to be highly modable, though, just like its predecestors, so Im sure there'll be no lack of textures/cosmetic mods to play with. As it is though, the cc reminds me the advanced Mass Effect one. Much more options with predefined features, a lot more freedom arranging them on the facial plane, but similar morph limitations (can't alter size/symmetry).  I was able to create a character I'm absolutely happy with, however, unlike with ME. She's  here, and here,  if anyone's curious :). Strightforward warrior-type nord. There are options in place to create a much more 'alien' and exotic looking characters, though.

What got me to drop by however, is sudden wave of nostalgia for Jennifer Hale's voice. I've randomly stumbled on a republic trooper trailer from upcoming Old Republic game, and my god. It just hit me all over again how awesome she is. And how much she began to associate with FemShep for me. They need to release FemShep Me3 trailer SOON. Whatever happened to it, anyway? There was so much excitement about it and then it just... died.

Meanwhile, I'm trying (and failing, big time) to dissassociate republic trooper with femshep. I mean I can easily picture FemShep saying that! Change 'republic' for 'humanity', 'sith empire' for 'reapers' and...

Trooper trailer :P

Re: the mission that affected your femshep the most

Years ago, during the very, very first run through, it was randomly finding Tombs as a coninist/sole survivor. It never even occured to me to try talk him down from shooting the scientist. She LET him... watching him shoot himself afterwards was a shock, though. And what he said before pulling the trigger... (paraphrasing) "...they say you are the only one who survived... who am I to argue?" Those kinda haunted me till the endgame, even more than the infamous Virmire choice.

I make a point not to metagame that choice for majority of the rest of my sole survivors. It kinda feels... fitting.

Absolutely not. Though she supports the ideas of the system, Artemis hates political BS, and has no desire to be a part of it.

Oh no.. Sarah is by far not councillor material. She would laugh at the person asking her then probably question that persons heritage and how it managed to make it this far in life. After that she would ''politely'' ask that person to go to hell. There's a 50% chance of her using her gun to make a point

Hell no, Zody gets politics. She can actually be good at it if she wants to be. But unless there is absolutely no. one. else. who can do it, she would not take the human councilor's position. She might take a position as a head member of the Alliance. But she is military to the bone.

Renée might.  If only to ensure that an honest person was in that posistion.  She doesn't want some one who's just in it for graft and kickbacks to be int hat slot.  She'd hate it, but if asked would serve. No Sherman Pledge for this woman.

Yes. Olivia sees political corruption, violence, and inequality in every corner of the galaxy, and unlike the other councilors she's faced it personally. She knows that politics is a tiring and sh!tty gig, but Olivia absolutely cannot see how one can criticize the current system without being willing to address it personally. She believes that with her experience dealing with all of the races, she'd make a good politician. She's not planning on going out "guns blazing" like an adrenaline filled krogan or Zaeed.

She was once asked this question on a survey. After checking the yes box, she filled in the comment box with a simple "If it isn't me, then it would just be someone else...so it might as well be me".

Never. Jane is an Alliance soldier, not a politician. She follows orders, she gives orders. But she would never agree to become a Human Councilor. Politics is not for her. She is a Spectre and that's enough for her.
But sometimes when Jane doesn't agree with the Council, she thinks "It I were them I would do everything differently".

Just listened to Sbarge reading Kaidan's email.

>melt<

People would treat those characters a lot differently if they'd actually RECORDED THE DIALOGUE for those things in the game!

Stupid emails, what a copout.

Anyway, Sbarge is a fantastic actor and I can totally get what all those femSheps see in Kaidan.

Maybe.  Not in the near future but probably later in life, if she's still alive.

KYRENE's question
In ME 2 all the time; it is almost impossible for me to stick to a projected path(except for the big plots)
I always revaluate my choices base on the immediate context. I find it easier to do in ME 1.

SKYPEZEE's comment
I've struggled so much with that question... the lines become so blurry when defining good/evil act. But i'm somewhat satisfied with your view on it: in the end your morals, your ability to retain some humanity define your actions.

ADLegend21's question
Katherine would not accept a position to serve in the council mostly because she's more like a behind the scenes person.
