But yes, I totally agree. Would make the byplay between Morrigan and Lelianna seem tame (especially if you played a DudeShep or modded FemShep who cheated on Ash with Miranda).

Agree on both counts.

Agree on both counts.

I'm actually facing the dudeshep situation. My Katherine was saved ( barely ) by my lack of modding. She turns out to be a lot more patient than i am ( or in total denial ).

Wow, that's a lot of modding. I seem to have broken my game just trying to do the FemShep/Miranda romance.

It's good to finally see her in armor, even though the armor looks very much like the one Shepard got in ME2 to me at least. I like it either way ^^

I'm curious to know what special forces branch (S1) Ashley belongs to.  it probably is a brand new unit within the Alliance (as the "1" suggest) whose members might be...spectre? We know that she is one.

It's said to be the spectre armour, so my guess would be yes.

Shepard is not wearing it. Could it be "backlash" from her/his previous actions ( arrival ) - The reapers attack came so suddenly that i don't think she/he would have had time for such formalities.

Probably because the N7 is Shepard's iconic armor.

Shep can refuse Spectre status in ME2, or not get it back for other reasons.

At least the game really looks good. They did a good job of fine tuning the characters. I was mostly impressed with the treatment Anderson receive.

N7 is an elite Alliance fighting force. Similarly, in ME1, Ash belonged to the B4 force. I'm guessing that S1 is also an alliance fighting force, maybe related to the Corsairs...

It says (in the codex, I think) that there's an elite group where the ranks use all letters of the alphabet and the numbers 1 through 7, so S1 could have something to do with that, like Shepard's N7. Or...I might be wrong. I haven't looked at the codex in a while. >.>

"N7 is a vocational code in the Systems Alliance military. The "N" designates special forces and the "7" refers to the highest level of proficiency. It applies to marines who have graduated from an elite training program."

I guess we will find out later what the S stands for. But then the 1 wouldn't be a good thing. It would mean she graduated lowest in her class.

Yeah, the higher the number the more expertise is required to undertake covert missions. In Ashley's case, "1" probably indicate how recent her unit is. I doubt they have enough personnel to establish more than one level.

N7 is like the Special Forces of the US Army, I think... guess we'll soon find out what the S1 on Ash's Armor stands for... though for the record: I don't like her Armor, it's just a retex of femShep's basic armor you get at the start of ME2.
I would have expected something... well, something different to be honest, and something less shiny.
The armor looks like it just got a new layer of clear coating or something... or maybe it is relatively new which could indicate that she has not seen much, if any, action as a spectre.

Still, having the armor shine this much, she might as well have jumped into a bucket of neon orange paint to signal "Point weapon HERE"

(Don't take this as negativity against Ash as a character, she was one of my faves in ME1, and I look forward to see her again, it's just criticism against the armor, nothing more ;))

ME and ME 2 are known for colorful armors. US Army Delta Force would be similar to what N7 represent in the Alliance. Or SeALs Team 6 within the SeAL  community.

I guess in the future camo doesn't much play a role in evading detection; They probably have themal sensors(which is being used in the field right now).Don't know what happened and my post got seperated in 2.

True, but thermal camouflage, or ECM will not render you invisible, and while visual scans in space may be unfeasible, in regard to the stealth systems on the Normandy, on the Battlefield that is a completely different matter, line of sight in many situations is your best bet for a certain killshot.
Most modern tanks for instance still rely heavily on L.O.S. for direct engagements against other verhicles (Or soldiers vs. other soldiers).

And with shiny armor like that, you practically become a reflector for any and all lightsources, which in turn makes you very much visible, even through a sniper scope.
You may as well paint yourself neon-orange then, or paint a bullseye on your helmet/forehead

EDIT: When you think about that, it becomes clear why you start with a dark gray kevlar/carbon composite armor in the first & second game.
