Been thinking about this for a while now. At first Sarah would be so very confused and annoyed. She hates to be
confused. If she's sent back to year 1289 or something she will probably after a good while calm down and realise this is her new life. Since Sarah is an extremely talented musican i could imagine her getting a job
as a bard, perhaps in the court of some king. If she go down her darker path i guess she'll end up as an assassin, maybe she do as Leliana. Being a bard that knows how to be pretty skilled with the blade and the
bow.
Sounds like she'd fit right in, like Andre Marek from Timeline. She could also make a living as a soldier of
fortune as she's studied tactics and strategy. Plenty of wars in 1289!

The reaper crisis is not what defines Katherine or Deirdre ( to be fair at least to the eyes of the public it does ): their past is. Even if the reapers didn't exist they would latch on to a different cause: the state of the universe is not ideal, with the rift between Council space governments and the rogue regimes of the Terminus system, there is plenty to keep them occupied. Traumatic events from the past - earthborn/ruthless or Mindoir/Sole survivor - or a lack of affection growing up, can easily steer a woman like Shepard into a quest for redemption/recognition (
even without the spectrum of an impending invasion ) or just a quest to find out who she really is: often only through adversity the deepest part of ourselves is uncovered. Though they don't have that naive or sometimes irritating way to show it, Kat/Deirdre care, beyond what is expected of a normal person, about the state of people or things around them.It can be a direct symptom ( not quite the word i'm looking for ) of a tumultuous past ( or a proven formula to divert attention away from painful memories/issues [ although caring for someone will never be
reduce to a simple formula ] ).In any case i think that's what is giving them an edge and making them always aspire for more than is required from them.
Even thrown back in time, Kat/Deirdre would not have rested until they find a way to raise awareness against the uncertain future threat that the reapers represent. I see them however do it in a very subtle manner: some kind of legacy ( book ) attached to themselves; or even prehistorical paintings on a cave wall - if it comes to that -
Broadly impact the past in a way to better prepare it for the future ( does that even make sense ) and making it look like it is the normal course of life. Maintaining a certain level of ambiguity when touching on to the reapers threat reality, may ensure a somewhat ( safe ) "normallife" - if they want to settle for that. My guess is that they will
not.
So she'd be driven to make her mark wherever she ended up. True, she could write a book that predicts several key events in the future (her past). For instance, if she remembers what the cure for cancer is, how an FTL drive works (or at least who invents it), and roughly where the Prothean data cache is on Mars, after enough of these things come true people are going to listen to what she says even if she's long dead by then. (Look at all the books out there about the world ending in 2012 just because the Mayans said so six centuries ago.)

She'd be irritated that nobody believed her about anything still, and that she didn't have Garrus.
True, she's like a cosmic Cassandra.

Though after a while she'd probably accept it and learn to deal, she'd be happy to be away from all that Reaper sh*t, but she'd miss the people she called friends and family. She'd miss her old life, of course, because she had everything set up after a while, and being thrown back into a normal life after other things is just strange to her. So she'd probably end up trying to find somebody else to live with, even knowing nobody can replace Garrus, then work as a waitress or join the millitary again or something. Though she might become that insane little old cat lady down the street. lol
I thought about mine joining the military again, but after sailing the stars our military would be way too dull for her. At one point in the game she says, "That's what I do. I help people". So maybe she'd start a charity or become a missionary.

Lili: Wait....what? How do you people live!?
Yeah, I ask this all the time too.

Lili: Garrus, you know I love you, right?
Garrus: Why do I sense this is going somewhere bad?
Lili:....I'm just saying. I also NEVER WANNA GO INTO THE 21ST CENTURY! EVER!
Garrus:....is this some human thing I don't know about?
I should amend this scenario. Sending her back in time, never to return, without anyone she cares about, is pretty cold (unless she doesn't care about anyone). Instead, one person goes with her - her best friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, whoever she would want to have. That'll help her get started, at least. Of course, if it's Garrus or Liara, they're going to have to be a bit reclusive.
