Once freaking again about 30 years old being apparently the new senor citizens....

I am 26. Several of my friends are in their 30s. Only the ones who do not take care of their bodies begin to look 'old.' Smoking, drinking, etc. Those who take steps continue to look youthful. And by that I don't mean gussying up in front of the mirror. Simple things like working out, eating right, staying drug free, etc. And as Knubbsal said Shepard is a Commander. But she also a Commander in 2185. That is 173 in the future for those who can't do math. As a race our life expectancy as jumped forward in leaps and bounds. Mass Effect explains that because of genetic modification and better living conditions humans now live to be 150 years old. The genetic modification is apparently something that everyone in the Mass Effect universe goes through. Shepard will probably look 'young' into her 40s without the add of anti-aging products. But she doesn't really have to do that. As said Shepard is a Commander, she probably works out at least once a day keeping her body toned. She also eats appropriately. Does your Shepard smoke? Drink? Does cocaine off Asari's boobies? No? Then she probably won't look 'old'.

Also we have seen ONE, uno, jeden, een, picture of the new Jane. Her face is set in a relaxed pose. Meaning wrinkles like laughing lines and crows feet would be harder to see. Example!

Blimey!! Wrinkles! Wrinkles everywhere!


One last thing, remember the whole Lazarus Project thing? One would assume that Shepard now has new skin. Which hasn't suffered weathered aging yet. Meaning its probably tighter, more toned, and more elastic. Shepard got the ultimate face lift. Unless your Shepard's body didn't burn through the atmo or crash land on an ice planet.

Anyways, here you go guys! For everyone who thinks that the new Jane is too young, here is Red's Jane for you. When ME3 comes go you must play this Jane because why would you play a pretty Jane since 30 is soooooo old.

Well, I made my Shep to look like me. And I'm 32. So, I'm actually Shep's age. So...where was I going with this? i guess to say i think red is right - age is hard to determine. I dunno. I get mistaken for a 20-something sometimes, sometimes for older than I am. Sort of depends if I have kids in tow.

i do think new-default jane looks young, but it's not her features or her complexion; it's something about her expression. it looks like a determined teenager. others may disagree, but that's me: it just doesn't have the 'weight' to it that i would think shepard would. if you were to tell me that was shepard when she first enrolled, when she was on akuze, elysium, torfan, i'd see it. but shepard now - i dunno, i expect her to have a look that says she may be youngish still, but something in her eyes speaks to what she's seen.

but that's me. and again, this is why I pretty much always love custom characters. What I want to play as is rarely the 'default'.

And re: marketing - yeah, it's dumb, but they're going to play to the lowest common denominator - to the soundbite which carries furthest. It's a space game - so they're going to put a white man with a gun and a crew cut whose aura screams 'I am stoic and the ladies love me but i'm too busy looking tough to care.' I admit, if they put a girl on the cover of a game, i usually assume she's the romance interest, even if fully clothed (hello ashley on original me1 cover art).

what's best about bioware games rarely translates into marketing. i mean, my hubby fails to understand the humor of mordin singing gilbert and sullivan because he never played that part. the best stuff is all the easter eggs that get hidden for the fans.

like femshep, the best easter egg of all.

As I mentioned before my first play femshep is single still. I am curious about Vega. It would be a sad tale if she remains single throughout the trilogy.

Deirdre is also single. She wants to be sure about her feelings before making a move. Potential LI for her are Miranda or Ashley.
Ilona in the other hand has her eyes set on Alenko or Jacqueline. Kasumi could come in play for both of them. Not enough info on Vega to form an opinion yet.

I have one single femshep (made her for Ashley) and I may actually play the default as BW claims the default ME3 game will have more content than default ME2 game.  If Ash is unavailable, one of those may go for Vega.  Not sure.

I'm 99,5% sure that Tiia is Kaidan only or single (assuming that Ashely is VS).

I might create a Shep for Vega. First i want to learn his personality and if i end up liking him, I probably will romance him with one Shep. Sarah will probably end up as a Kaidan girl. I can't see her really with anyone else than him, maybe with Joker

 Alright! I finally finished a renegade alt playthrough of ME1, now to import to ME2. I am now tempted to also play a super-paragon. Both would be a fun off-set to Kyrie, who tends to carve out a path somewhere in the realm of 'mixed' alignment.

Earthborn, Ruthless, Engineer, Renegade

She is an alpha wolf. If you're in her pack, she'd rip out a Batarian's heart and wrap it up with a bow for you. If you're not in her pack, you're fair game. She's remarkably funny and nice to her crew; she'll eat anyone else.












Now to port her to ME2 and continue the baddassery

Have they confirmed that Vega will be a romance opinion for Femshep? Regardless I planned Orra to be a romance opinion for Vega. But then I've parted Orra with almost everyone. I had one play through where she was Kaidan, then I imported her and gidded the romance out so I could have her with Jacob without cheating. Another playthrough she was with Garrus. Now I have her single in both games yet again. I'm so indecisive when it comes to her romance, since nothing seems to fit. So hopefully Vega will be that, otherwise I dunno. Maybe Kaidan will be a 'fresh' romance in ME3.

As a 31 year old man, she scares me...LOL.

I should say that in my head, Nora actually has a pixie cut that's like the one from the femshep contest - femshep #1, that is - or like natalie portman at the V for Vendetta premier. It's almost cute, very edgy, and cost a small fortune from one of the best stylists on the citadel.



but they didn't have that, and the other short cut didn't look quite right. anyhow.

Nora has EXTREMELY expensive tastes. It's an Earthborn Engineer thing.
