Fornax is doing a special issue featuring Commander Shepard next month.

Deirdre is single ( at the end of ME 1 and ME 2 ).It means the only footage Joker had of her is when...Damn!
Garrus won't mind those stabbed turian skulls on her back; Williams is more of a concern: she will probably blush when she sees which part of Shepard's anatomy had 'Ashley' tattooed on it.

You can't beat femshep, she has a bigger set of balls than all of the male characters in the ME universe put together.

FemShep rocks every time, and certainly has baddass-itude.

But, there are times it can be incongruous. I recently completed Mordin's loyalty mission in my 'canon' runthrough for Cara, and it made me laugh when Mordin had just delivered this really heartfelt and softly-spoken speech about the genophage, the pointless dying, etc and as it cut back to me being in control again, Jen Hale's voice suddenly came out with "I'll take it!"... I had just picked up an upgrade. I could not stop laughing for ages.

One thing that does make me worry about ME3 though, is the fact that we'll be taking on a lot of husks. I'm midway through the IFF mission at the moment, with the previous mission being an 'unexplored world' that had lots of Husks on it as well. Without fail, poor old Cara (my Sentinel) gets swamped by the Husks and has to use her [sarcasm] highly effective [/sarcasm] melee move to try and beat them off, as her teammates have generally run away (Why do they do that? I ask them to move to a position beside/in front of me and they retreat instead). Usually she just dies, and I have to restart that section. I worry that ME3 will be full of moments like this, at which point the game stops being fun and becomes more about enduring the teeth-grating annoyance to get through it and find something more challenging to fight.

Hello all. :) I just started playing Mass Effect 1 two days ago, and I love it so far! Although, I am absolutely terrible at it, lol, so I'm dying a LOT. But hopefully I'll learn. ;) I'm trying to get through everything in time for ME3, so it's a race against the clock...
Thought I'd drop in a pic of my first Shep! (I don't have the most powerful computer ever, which means I'm on lower graphics settings ... which has led to an odd graphics glitch where Shep's eyelashes clip into her brow over her right eye, making it look like she's forgotten her falsies on one side, or something. ;))

I don't know if this helps any, but I, too, hated Husks, until I discovered that if their feet leave the ground, they insta-die. Still have to bust through armors on HardCore/Insanity, it helped me a lot with remaining strategy. Any squaddie with Up-up-and-away! skillz can do it - Concussive Shot, Pull, Shockwave, Throw, and my fave: Shep's (or Liara's) own batch singularity. It's like a biotic blender for Husks!

Ahh some of the eyelashes just clip and that eyeshape is notoriously asymmetrical; not that that's bad, I rather think it adds character hehe.

Anyways, welcome! Don't worry about the dying part heh, that gets better over time if I'm any proof. Just in time to race up to ME3's release =)

I'm really tempted to do another Mass Effect play through prior to ME3 release but I'm so hooked on Star Wars: The Old Republic right now it's sick. Although, my main is a redhead female named Alexandria... same with ME1 and 2, and DA1 and 2 and FO3 and NV, and Skyrim.... I'm detecting a trend....

I may have a obsession.

Thanks for the welcome, all! :) Yeah, hopefully I'll improve in combat with more practice! At the moment I'm still focussing on not running into walls or not driving the Mako into lava. ;)

My Shep's called Laura, and she's a soldier/colonist/war hero. In fact, there's a bit of headcanon I have for her based on the war hero background - I got the assignment where you encounter Heliat/the trap, but I ballsed it up after disarming the bomb - went outside, found all the mooks surrounding the Mako, got totally overwhelmed (Garrus went down), ran away and retreated to the Normandy. Shep was resolved to go back and get him, so they went back in the Mako later only to find everyone was gone. She was PISSED.

It was interesting how a bit of my Gameplay Fail ended up as part of her story. ^_^

I like her nose. It's not the sort of nose I would usually choose for my PCs but I thought it was striking. :) And, it sounds odd, but due to the way that particular bun hairstyle looks on my computer, I think she'd have curly hair when it's not tied up.

Here's hoping I can get through everything in time for ME3!

Hey! I've never posted in this thread but I've been a lurker for the longest time...

First things first, femshep is AWESOME (obviously)

Secondly, I've a question I've been meaning to ask you renegade femsheps. Who did you choose to kill in the mother-daughter standoff, Samara or Morinth? I've looked at the arguments on both sides and I'm really on the fence about this. Now, my renegade femshep is not downright sociopath; I've still made a lot of major paragon decisions (i.e. saving the Rachni, Council etc.) but I honestly can't justify killing Morinth for some reason.

So I went ahead and killed Samara just now and I felt even worse. It's basically come down to this...I'd have no problem whatsoever offing Samara if it wasn't for the fact that she'd swore an oath to Shepard. My femshep always honors her word and killing Samara seems like stabbing her in the back. Other than that, the Justicar is just as dangerous as the Ardat-Yakshi in my books.

Argh, decisions.

I don't know, I don't mean to say anything bad about possible motivators to keep Morinth over Samara, but even for a renegade Shep for me it seems like an overly 'sociopath' thing to do. It's not so much about killing Samara as it is about killing Samara over keeping Morinth.
If you're playing to go mean without any real though put into the WHY behind your Shep's decissionmaking process, then either is fine, I would just imagine that to justify it for any Shep, is a mean feat.

I justify choosing Samara over Morinth because:

She's a cold-blooded murderer, who is completely self-serving. Why would she care about Shepard's mission at all? Who's to say she won't kill people on your ship? From Shepard's point of view (even on my Renegade Sheps), I find it to be far too much of a risk.

Samara is a threat that Renegade Shepard would see coming, head on. Morinth could screw you over at any moment, any time. It's more about pragmatism and self-preservation then feeling, to be honest.

You could say the same of Jack, but she kills out of self-preservation/survival/instinct.  She also seems to want to honor her deal with Shepard in exchange for information about Cerberus.  You can earn her loyalty.  Morinth kills because she's addicted to it like a drug.  Like Samara said, she can't stop and she never will.

What Aislinn and Ottemis said, and also almost the entire crew have no idea that Morinth is posing as Samara, thus their guard would be down around her. How long will she be on the ship before her addiction become to much for her to control and she takes out one or several of Shepard's crew. Regardless of how you play your Shepard, Shepard has not only self preservation and the preservation of her crew. She needs them after all. Having Morinth aboard is asking for trouble. In fact I think a Renegade Shepard would be more likely to kill Morinth because she would careless about Morinth situation and would be more then willing to kill someone who was trying to kill her.

I do feel sorry for Morinth, it would be hard to have the conditions she has. But unlike her sisters who have isolated themselves, Morinth just doesn't care. She likes the thrill of the hunt and kill.

Argh, thanks sage I didn't know that. Though I'm sure I threw an abomination and it got back up. I'll give that a go.

And thank you Yakko, I'll try the arc projector. I've been using the particle beam to take out the Scions quickly, but I've got the Mattock with (squad) incendiary ammo, so that may work just as well against the Scions.

Tim

Edit:  Ideally, I'd like my biotic Sheps (they're all Biotic characters to some degree)  to come with something akin to the Jedi Consular 'Wave' from SWTOR, which I can use to throw everything around me away, to give me a bit of breathing space.  It's not likely, but it would be nice.

Vanguard has a power called nova, which throws everyone back around them and does damage, at the cost of Shep's shields.  Maybe relevant to your interests?
