On the other hand, I've never shared any screenshots of Jessica in Arrival. Might as well remedy that. Even though this thread seems to have completely died, so probably nobody will see this.

"So that's what Hackett looks like."

"Well crap. I already had a shower today."

"Did you seriously just put me in a Cerberus outfit? Where did you even get one of these?"

"This outrage deserves a special response I learned from a drell!"

"Apocalypse in two hours. Just another boring day at the office..."

More screenshots of Jessica in Arrival. My gosh, how can I already be getting nostalgia? She looks so much better here than in ME3...

The Faces are best crafted in ME 3, with more facial expressions that makes FemShep more natural. The Evolution of graphics is visible too.
For comparison, here is her in ME 1:

in ME 2:

Finally, ME 3:

the final moments of Chun Shepard:

That's all.

True, true.
In many ways, Mass Effect 2 femshep is femshep for me.

@Sable Phoenix I've never played around much with the face editor so my femsheps are just default with a few minor tweaks, but your great Mediterranean looking (or so she looks to me, don't know if that's what you were aiming for) femshep has inspired me to create a different looking Shep next time I start from the beginning.
You noticed that did you? I'm so gratified you picked that up. Yes, she is of Arab extraction (her parents, who she never knew, were Turkish), even though she herself is a native of Singapore.

Yes, I was in the right area though I'd have missed the bullseye to either side. If you asked me to name a country I'd have said she's probably Greek or Lebanese with maybe five bucks on each way for southern Italy. Plenty of people from or descended from the eastern half of the Med where I live and Jessica looks like she could easily be one of them. Wow, you put some thought into back story. I like to role play the game as much as I can but creating the character I just settle for spacer kid, earthborn, yadda yadda, and load up and go shoot something. If I make the next Shep more than default with different eyebrows maybe I'll think up something to fill it out a bit more. Shame the games aren't sophisticated enough to allow you to change surnames to something that fits the character's ancestry or to be called by the forename now and then.Sable Phoenix wrote...

So I guess someone has tried manually copying all the headmorph values (including offsetbones and LOD vertices) from an ME2 Gibbed headmorph to an ME3? I'm guessing it doesn't work b/c it looks like either the code that drives rendering has been changed or the base models were recreated. Not that I have the patience to do that anyway, but wondered if anyone had tried.ELE08 wrote...

Well, yeah, someone has. Me. ME2 mesh files are incompatible with ME3. I've heard that ME3's have a higher number of vertices.
Ironically, this does not make them look better.
Makes me wonder how BioWare fixed the import issue, as they said they have in the upcoming patch. I'd happily sacrifice extra vertices in order for Jessica to look exactly the same.

Yeah, Jessica's backstory is kind of ridiculous by this point. Most of it I didn't even actively make up, she just told me how she felt about things in the games and the backstory started clicking into place like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. She's a Paragade Earthborn War-Hero Infiltrator, and she did not have a happy childhood. Everything she does as Shepard is to make up for and/or run away from all the crap that happened to her back on Earth.
Apropos of nothing... since she's Singaporean, she speaks Chinese as fluently as English, even though she never really uses it except to swear (in fine Mal Reynolds style).

Speaking of Firefly, first attempt at a new look femshep using ME1's creator has not gone entirely as planned. Was hoping for a kind of mixed heritage European/Aboriginal look, but she looks more like Sgt Zoe with a change of hairstyle. Okay, just not what I was after. Thinking about it I have a feeling the indigenous Australian feel is going to be hard to achieve anyway when Shep's accent is solidly North American. I wish BiowEAr would bring back Yvonne Strahovski to v/o all the femshep dialogue. Never mind the underrepresentation of women in gaming, what about the underrepresentation of Aussies?

When's that patch coming out? Or has it already? I haven't really been keeping up on my Biowear news.
