Thank you!
I'll see how well she transfers into ME2...
I'll also give the code then if anyone wants it.

The strain of talking to Leviathan
Regarding her face, no need for modding. Only some corrections in the transfer from ME2 to ME3.
I like her better as she came out in ME1 and ME2. But not all would agree.
Compare in post #7 here.

Reporting for duty.
There's something about this woman, too. Colour on armor in last pic also suits her.
Which warrants me to say: well done, SaturnRing and Yestare7!
To those not mentioned here: thank you for sharing! Always fun to see other people's sheps.

Nadia Shepard, Earthborn, War Hero, Soldier, Thanemancer.
I don't have any screenies at the moment for Nadia except ME3 because I'm in the middle of redesigning her in ME1 & ME2.

There's also Lilith (Spacer, War Hero, Adept, Romanced Kaidan and left him for Garrus) which I redesigned in ME3, but only recorded Citadel DLC with:

And is the only one of my Shep's to actually look good in that dress. Also I've decided to give her green eyes in the future.

Well, I managed to save Eirween from the bad transfer to ME3 so that she came out more natural and attractive alright, but in a softer and less interesting way than before, which did not suit her role in this mega-adventure equally well. So I have mixed feelings about her...SaturnRing wrote...
Thank you Domar. That was my intent - coming up with a face that both felt natural and had character. Eirween looks pretty good herself.

Says something about your skill in face generation to achieve perfectly what you intended to create, SaturnRing.

Although I don't agree for Eirween(she seems to have so much charisma too), I perfectly see what you mean: that difficult exercise in finding that fragile balance between character and attractiveness. I'm curious to see what Eirween looked like before - if only to get a better context...Domar wrote...

She looked more mature, stronger in psyche, and more believable as commander before. Also a woman with reserved manners. Add her pale complexion to that and she came across as being known as the Ice Queen - often shortened to IQ, on account of her intellectual capacity as well (she graduated as an engineer, and survived Akuze thanks to her education and ability to stay cool and make rational decisions in the midst of battle)...SaturnRing wrote...

Eirween in ME1 (warm light)

Eirween in ME2
Not much of that IQ personality left in ME3, I'm afraid...

Sara is my favorite though, but that might have more to do with Garrus (and the fact that she's a Vanguard, my favorite class) than the way she looks.
With Nadia I was trying to make her look like she was from the Middle East (Earthborn background) using Iranian singer Azam Ali as a model. I don't know if I really succeeded though.
I have two other Shepard's (Silvia, Rhianna) but I haven't recorded any of my games with them. And with one, Silvia, I'm still trying to find a decent hair style for her as the one I like is only available in ME3. *grumbles*

Well, it's difficult to accept the change ME3 brought about when you had a character like that to start with. Part of the roleplaying aspect, I guess. Shepard is supposed to be this extraordinary individual who saves the galaxy from the most dangerous creatures ever encountered, and one should be able to see some of that character in his or her physical appearance. You know, strength, toughness, intelligence, maturity, confidence, determination etc. Features that suggest softness, tenderness, vanity etc make it more difficult for me to fall into that role-playing, and actually play the game. Much more fun to play the heroic role when your character looks like a hero or heroine.SaturnRing wrote...
Judging by her ME2 pics, I concur. She is beautiful but does feel also more reserved. I understand how negatively ME3 would affect that kinda vibe: faces tend to be rounder and eyes lower - which convey the idea of warmth. I still hope you'll find a way to work around that.
Glad we agree on the impression that Eirween from ME1 and ME2 gives. She's more like the heroine she's supposed to be there. In case you missed it, there are more pics showing her character in post #7 here.
Yes, in ME3, faces appear to become rounder and eyes lower. Worst thing is that eyes also seem to become bigger, which creates a baby-like impression at times. Want the galaxy saved from an armada of enormous Reaper-machines? Well, you can have this baby running around...
I noticed you plan to give Lilith green eyes for the future, when you replay ME1 and ME2, as I understand it. May I suggest that you also test her with just a lighter shade of brown eyes? That would have been interesting to see. She looks great in brown eyes, if you ask me. A lighter shade of brown might bring added character. Don't know if the face generation options have the right hue of brown for that, though.Exile Isan wrote...

I may just do that. I started her again in ME2 with the face code I created in ME3 she translated pretty well (unlike Silvia *sigh*), but the character creator doesn't have the shade of green that I wanted. But I don't know you guys will have to be the judge.

Lilith as she originally looked.

Lilith with lighter brown eyes.

Lilith with green eyes.
I was hoping to be able to make her eyes a greenish brown, but no dice.
And just for funsies here's Lilith in ME2.

Looking at the ME2 pics it is obvious: even with a very restrained time frame you still get that impression of maturation. Faces are beautiful but slightly hardened. A renegade inclination feels all the more natural and in character.Domar wrote...

Hmmm...that strong shade of green for eyes does not fit Lilith's warm and natural face, if you ask me (actually reminds me of the Synthesis ending for ME3). But in the age of the Illusive Man, I guess anything's possible artificially. From an aesthetical point of view, I think you should keep looking.Exile Isan wrote...

There are more natural bluegreen eyes available, like those selected for Eirween. Tried them?
I was right in thinking a lighter shade of brown eyes would be interesting to see on Lilith. Although I had something less amber, and a bit paler yet in mind, those shown are not bad, and the more I look at her the better they become. The original shade of brown still look great, however. And then there's the option of even darker brown, almost black.
You've got a difficult choice there, Exile Isan. Thanks for showing this nice lady.

Proving that one can, to a certain extent, read an individual's character by his or her facial features. And that this reading influences one's conception of how the game ought to be played.
Which shows the importance of the work at the custom face generation screens, and the skill it takes to succeed, if one has something special in mind there. Which is a satisfaction denied for those going with default characters, who also miss out on a unique and more personal playing experience.
Really enjoy seeing what other people have come up with. I should try complete that GME2CCTME1 Project of mine...

@Domar: well, in my case, attachment to the default character came in a very unusual manner. I have grown fond of her even before the game was released. So it felt natural to use her...though to be honest, if it was made possible, I probably would have tweaked her features and moved them around quite a bit...
I do agree however that nothing confer more originality(or attachment) than a custom character - with a (perfect) match between traits and personality.
I went back and look at some pics. I do believe that Faith is pretty close to that perfect balance...

We seem to share a taste for finer things, SaturnRing. Faith was my other choice next to yours from the last half dozen or so pages here. Yes, she's got something special. Difficult to pinpoint it, though. Wouldn't mind seeing more of her in different situations. Yestare7, where are you?SaturnRing wrote...

As for the balance, I think my Ma'heona'e pull it off better than Eirween through the trilogy as a whole. As soon as I finished ME3 with the former, I wanted to return to ME1 with her for a more proper game series playthrough in improved version.
I may tell you guys more about it after my holiday, in which case it may be July already. Until then, take care.
