I'm slowly but surely getting used to the idea of playing a Shep who isn't an utter goody two-shoes.
I've shown Lilith before, but her renegade scars are far more pronounced now than they ever were before...

I fell in love with Jen hale because of her renegade delivery, like someone did to her what they did to femshep and I always do renegade femsheps over paragonswhen I first start them. Although I've NEVER seen where she goes "i just saved you from a nasty prison shower scene" in me1....halp?

Ask and ye shall receive...

Lilith's an adept Spacer/War Hero by the by. I like the idea of an alleged symbol of humanity actually being something of a selfish ******; someone who's good at killing and has made a career out of it.
She isn't "evil" per se, but she's definitely not a positive influence. And she's something of a misandrist.
Special thanks to The Uncanny for instructing me in how to achieve an all-female crew at the end of ME2...I bet this'll be interesting.

I used to play 100% paragon but I've grown to love renegade Shep and some of her lines are priceless.  It's fun being an ass.  Plus I get to shoot Conrad in the foot.  In real life I'm extremely shy and non confrontational so it's fun to RP the opposite.

Yeah, same here. I still get a pang of guilt when I act like an ass, though. So I'm gently easing myself into the idea.
I love roleplaying, but I have a really slim comfort zone...

Yeah I'm a total paragon outside of mass effect. when i did my frist renegade run I did all the big decisions as a paragon (council rachni, Wrex etc) except for the collector base because it jsut seemed logical to keep it sinceit had info on the reapers. now if Timmy wants to act up I've got bullet with his name on it.

stop these smileys, they confuse me

it's the least traumatic and moody background. and it gives a huge boost to Paragon points

true, nearly everyone of my shepards is a spacer, since I like that you can talk to Sheps mom, plus it makes it interesting if  they're a renegade.Posted Image (sorry about the smiley.)

I can't play a Spacer renegade.  It bothers me too much thinking about disappointing mom.  Hmmm, there's some real life bleedover there, I'm sure.

I could never be evil in Fallout 3 for the same reason.  The thought of dad frowning on your shenanigans :crying:
It doesn't help he's voiced by Liam Neeson...I just want to make him proud!

"It isn’t a stretch to say that BioWare has managed to, seemingly unintentionally, create a female protagonist that has attracted the attentions of hundreds if not thousands of people."

This is probably my favorite line.

Also, Ryn HAS to include this article in the OP.

New render!

I'm having fun, but I'd be pretty screwed if I had to do this for a living. I've developed an all new appreciation for what the peeps at BioWare do just to put a character in 3D space.

Loved the article and yeah, that line speaks volumes.  I know BW will stick to its statistics to the death and femShep will never grace the cover of a box, magazine or promo vid.  They will contend that dudeShep is there for branding purposes, but I got to tell you, that branding didn't work on me.  I didn't buy the first ME game until a year ago and I never would have bought it  if hadn't I found out you could play as a female.  Had I not come across some stray article about customization of ME characters, I wouldn't be here now.  Quite frankly, BW's branding backfired completely with me.  I thought the dude on the box looked like a doofus Vanilla Ice clone.  Hell with that.
