ME2. The textures have been improved drastically, and I prefer the slightly longer style too.

Yes, I think that style looks better in ME2 as well...I think they all do.  More variety would be good, though.

The default hair is my favorite, but I think it looks better in ME1. All of the "loose hair" options look stiff, which is annoying. Yeah, yeah, engine limitations, blah, blah, blah.

I think my imported Shepard looked a bit different than she did in ME1 as well.

When I played ME1 as a female, I used the default Jane Shepard, except I changed her class and background. However, when I imported her to ME2, I decided it was time for a new look (see picture above). At the character creation screen I was actually quite surprised at how the appearances were different (ME1 default and ME2 default), especially since the default male appearance is literally identical in the two games.

No, it's not just you. My main female Shepard uses the default ME1 appearance save for a different eye and hair color. When I went to import her into ME2, I flipped back and forth between the imported face and the ME2 default face. I can't be 100% sure, but some features seemed slightly different.

Mine looked like she somehow had become Asian in the last 2 years, due (I think) to the way the better textures reflected her skin tone and makeup. It was sort of fun for a while, but on my second play through I did some editing and turned her blond.
