I've started a new character. I kept the same look that I usually have. That's because most of the FemShep faces look very much alike. It's hard to make radical different looking chars. Any thoughts on this?
My Sheps usually end up looking similar too. There's only one facial structure I really like (the default one), so they all end up having a very similar looking base face. I do use different hair/eyes/noses/etc. which does add some degree of difference, but there's always still that underlying similarity that won't go away, due to the structure.

Facial Structure #7, Eye Shapes #1 and #8, Mouth Shape #1/#7 (they're identical), and Nose #6. These are your culprits; they show up in about 70-80% of all FemShep face codes.
The rebuild of Andrea, after data corruption and realizing this, using none of those features:

And yeah, she struck me as a bald Shepard. Full credit to ELE08's Facial Retexture 4.0 and Quething's Dramatic Facial Scarring for the outcome you see here.

And I played another forgotten Shep today, and she strangely looks like sagequeen's Kyrie.
So I do think it's common.
By the way Christmas Ape: where did you get your stats? Or is it an observation?

I went through the ME2 Faces Database about a week ago compiling face codes I found striking, running them through the Face Code-to-Slider tool found here, and adding them to a word document with name & creator so I could mess with them for my PC playthroughs. And of the 36 face codes I collected, consciously seeking out less "typical" faces and going back 22 pages by date submitted, 20 of them are Facial Structure 7, 24 use Eye Shapes #1 or #8, 25 use one of the two identical Mouth Shapes, and 24 use Nose #6.Brodyaha wrote...

So it's basically an observation drawn from a reasonable sample size of evidence. Even the much-loved "Alma" face code uses all of the above except for Facial Structure (it's a #6).

I have not, mostly because that's as extensively as I've researched the matter and I'm not sure it hasn't already been figured out by someone who put more time into it. If the general feeling is "Tell it from the mountaintops", I'll get about confirming it with some test subjects selected without personal bias and make it known.AngryFrozenWater wrote...
@Christmas Ape: Thanks for figuring this out. Did you start a thread about this? If you did not then I think it deserves some broader attention than just the FemShep thread.

You witnessed 'shoppery. The full hardcase armors are meshed as a single piece. You could no more play the game with the helmet removed from the Blood Dragon armor than you could play it with Shepard being volus height. We simply don't have access to the packages required.FieryPhoenix7 wrote...
Isn't there a PC mod that removes the helmet somehow? Or did I see photoshopped images?
EDIT: Actually, making Shepard half height would be easier on technical grounds than breaking off part of the mesh and re-sealing it at the neck, but we don't have access to skeleton controls either.

But I like to imagine it is out of sympathy for Tali:wub:. It kinda helps, but taking a drink looks weird. At least until I saw how off it looks without a helmet.

I never use DLC armor because of this, although I would love to wear Cerberus Assault Armor without the helmet.

And once on Horizon, because running into Ash in Cerberus Assault Armor, big-ass logo on my forehead, was priceless.

Cerberus Armor looks a bit odd on FemShep IMO. Kinda reminds me of the Red Faction miner-suits though.
BDA is sexy and I'd say its bonuses are very suitable for an Adept or any powers focused class.
