Sweet! Nice before -and- after there.

Anyway:

Raina Shepard does the Kasumi loyalty mission - Stolen Memory.  I was going to use the modified texture I used earlier, but it apparently broke Kasumi in that she vanished before my eyes even in places where she's supposed to appear.  It also seemd to break her dialogue, activating the texture mod seemed to remove her entirely from the game.  So, I stuck with the default clothes.

Normally I have a really easy time picking which two screenshots to use as the 'big two' but I liked so many of these that I had a hard time.  If you like looking at screenies and until now hadn't been checking out the thumbnails, I recommend quite a few of these.  One is basically where I got my avatar from - though my avatar was a slightly older build (wider eyes, smaller chin).  And I dig the expressions FemShep makes in a couple of them such as in #46 - the first thumbnail - responding to Donovan Hock. Starting with Kasumi's mission and recently taken to another level with Lair of the shadow Broker, Shepard (regardless of sex) does seem to get much better expressions and animations than in the vanilla game.

I think this is what Chris Priestly meant when he said the series was trying to get away from dialogue - non-vocal communication through subtle and appropriate facial expressions.  Can't wait to play Shadow Broker with this toon, though she's not a Liara romance save so it won't be as cinematic as it could be.

As a male gamer I've never understood why they stick males on game covers if they try to target male audience. I really prefer to watch female heroine if one is available and I also prefer to play female heroine if it's possible.
I think Buffy series is major reason for that. There is just something really enjoyable to see female heroine beating the hell out off bad guys and saving the world.

I feel exactly the same.
I've beem likeing badass girls once Xena came out.

One more reminder.  Let your voice be heard in this survey.  If you primarily play FemShep, please vote!  I think there are only a few hours left to vote.

I made a fast wallpaper in order to support the cause.

I did It in two different tones because I couldn't make up my mind.

^But if I ask 10 people and get 8 different answers, that means 2 of em chose the same 1 and so it would mean that FemShep is the prettiest. :P

Superb wallpapers, kaskouka. Btw, I noticed awhile back you published a collage of your (gorgeous) femshep. You had one thumb in there where she's in the Kasumi dress with her arms crossed and this wicked grin on her face. Any chance you have the full size version of that? I love the expression :)

Great wallpaper design. I really love the composition. It definitely conveys the theme of the dlc.

I generally tend to gravitate toward greens and blues, but in this case I like the orange better. Shepard and Liara really pop on that one. The green makes them a bit subdued which, in turn, seems to emphasize the background more.

I am not a fan of the orange color nor Hollywood movies. In fact, it is one of colors which I like and use least. It is just that the planet of Shadow Broker had this kind of tone in the game. Thus I based myself on orangy tones to make the composition. And in the end, I find that it is not so bad.

Or it means you happened to find two people with similar taste.  Beauty is subjective.

I'm a female gamer. Until Mass Effect I had never felt fully immersed in a character. For all intents and purposes, when I played ME1 I felt like I became Shepard. I made the decisions, I kicked bad guy's asses, and I fell in love with Kaidan. (as much as you can with a video game) There's something about playing a game where your character is fully voiced, and doesn't say exactly the same thing you choose. It feels like thoughts being made into sentences. Of course, in the beginning I made the mistake of saying a few things I didn't mean to say (before I realized there was a sort of 1 - 2 - 3 system)

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, my female Shepard is hands down my favorite character in any game I've ever played. I hesitate to expand that further into movies, tv-shows, and books, but really she's just one of my favorite female characters ever.

I can't wait to continue playing her in ME3.

Shepard is beautiful, compassionate, smart, and a badass. What more could you ask for?

It's funny you mention Buffy, because Joss Whedon's persistent reliance on the Amazon feminine heroic archetype has actually contributed to general preference for ManShep.

In that I'm sick of seeing Whedon's 100 lbs. model-thin girls using martial arts to take out combat trained, fit men in fair fights.

Granted, FemShep's badassery is much more sensible and established than any other contemporary popular female heroine I can think of, save Summer Glau in Sarah Connor Chronicles since she's a cyborg.

/that's a Whedon rant though, not a criticism of women heroes in general or Femshep
//lotsa ways to write strong female characters without dropping suspension of disbelief out the window

I actually don't care much for Whedon... his heroines seem to kick a lot of butt in a highly unbelievable manner, right up until he needs to throw some drama in and then they're helpless for just long enough to get to where he wants to be in the story.  Bleah.

He tend to do that  doesn't he. :) Still it's enjoyable.
As for FemShep she really stole my heart as my number one female hero. There is just something really right about Shepard being female. With male Shep ME isn't bad, but it does lack that something.

@Kaskouka
Awesome wallpapers :o
