Hey thanks! I was super pleased (and relieved) when this is how she looked when imported to ME2 from ME on Xbox. I've heard some horror stories...

Just thought I might share my drawing of Shepard I invisioned. It's still work in progress so..be gentle. But hopefuly I proved my dedication and support to Fem Shepard. Seriously there never was a more badass woman in the galaxy.
Wow!
I love the scars and your shading. She looks really tough - I like it. (Her right eye seems a bit higher and bigger than the left one, though.)

That is amazing work! I just think the pupil/iris needs to be lowered just slightly. I am looking forward to seeing the finished piece though!

Also, I freaking love Jennifer Hale's chemistry with Ali Hillis, Liara's voice actress. She absolutely shined in LotSB!

I still like it too. I just wanted something that says, 'I'm an Engineer!'

Indeed, even after Mass Effect 2 I still preferred the silent protagonist (Like The Warden from Dragon Age) over the fully voiced one. LotSB was the first time particularily in terms of character interaction that I was totally drawn in by the interaction between Shepard and another character. Maybe it's just that I really like Liara since she's my all time favourite character of the series, but to some extent I think it was just that chemistry between the two characters that really draws the player in making you forget about the disconnet between the player and Shepard. I felt involved in the story and the interaction not just watching that story unfold.

Yes, the voice acting in that scene just drew you in to it, and I felt I could relate to both characters really well...knew their feelings and where they were coming from with each line.

I agree with this. Not only were both Shepard and Liara individually very well-written in LotSB, but they were also brilliantly written together regardless of romance. The interaction, dialogue and banter between the two characters was excellent, whether they were lovers or "mere" close friends. Shepard and Liara's relationship seems very deep, genuine and believeable. I echo your sentiments that it did not feel like I was watching a story unfold, but rather was becoming immersed and involved in the narrative and interaction between the two.
It was excellent. I hope that FemShep/Kaidan lovers are afforded something of equal quality.

Plus it helped that the paraphrased lines in the wheel weren't radically different from what Shepard said, to me that was Mass Effect's biggest sin. Nothing was more jarring than selecting a neutral option or something otherwise seemingly generic and having a totally unexpected thing happen or have Shepard say something strange.
Another thing was that Liara is an established character from the previous game, as such we didn't have to sit there and listen to her slowly reveal her whole life story and then stop talking. It was actual character development, an NPC and their relationship with the PC moving forward, growing and changing under the new circumstances they find themselves in. BioWare hasn't done that since the Baldur's Gate days, which is a shame because it's fantastic stuff.

That is a great point. That's why I'm hoping that BW chooses to develop the old romances for Shepard in ME3 instead of introducing new ones, or for the FemShep/Kaidan romance in the hypothetical DLC involving him. There was a strong sense of familiarity between FemShep/Liara in the LotSB love scene (Hale/Hillis did an excellent job portraying it) and they felt like a 'real' couple that had been through a lot together and got through it.

I agree with that, though I personally don't prefer the silent protagonist of DA. I didn't believe that she was actually speaking with the other characters and didn't feel as engaged with her as a character.

I like both the silent and the voiced protagonist, but if the protagonist is voiced, it better be good voice acting or I will hate it. There's no worries with FemShep, as Hale does an outstanding job voicing her!
