I just use FRAPS to take my screen shots.

Fraps.

However, in order to use them as your avatar on the forum, I believe you need to have a registered copy of Dragon Age, so that you can browse and choose custom avatars, but I'm not 100% sure how it works. I don't play on PC, and no Dragon Age.

There's no actual in-game screenshot mechanism? That explains why I couldn't find the key bound to it, LOL. Is there any reason why, or the devs just didn't feel like it? I sort of thought that was standard on videogames at this point.

I think there is with ME1 but not ME2 for some reason....I'm not sure if I remember the key to take them with...I just use FRAPS.

I wish I could do it. As much as I prefer the 360 for these games, I hate the fact that I'm unable to take pictures/videos as easily as on PC. I took a number of off-screen pictures with my mom's digital camera, only a few of which turned out good.

My main is a femshep that I think looks pretty great (and made the transition to ME 2 nicely, unlike a couple others of mine...) But I wouldn't want to use it is as my avatar, you know. To prevent confusion.
