He probably just meant Miranda was high-maintenance.

LOL!

Nah Kasumi's glad that you and him found happiness and she says "you've got one of the good ones" which can kinda mean "if you **** up I'll be on him like white on rice"

Jacob had self esteem issues after he broke it off with Miranda and was feeling down on himself, it had nothing to do with Shepard showing intrest in him and he says it to both genders of sheps so it's a canned line.

Yes but as a Jacob hater I take offense to all his lines! :wizard:

Now, I do love ME2. Really. I love the cinematics, the dialogue, the characters, the gameplay, the music, the whole doomed atmosphere...but after replaying ME1, and redoing quests and comparing the stories, some things just do not make sense.

Let's not discount the initial impact of ME1. If you're anything like me, you were likely overwhelmed by the storyline, the way to interact, to have love interests, to steer the conversation, and make real choices. Now, I do love ME2. Really. I love the cinematics, the dialogue, the characters, the gameplay, the music, the whole doomed atmosphere... but when I first played it I was disappointed. And for that selfsame reason: it just felt like 'more of the same.' Then I realized, that if I subtracted the 'awe-factor' from ME1, for it being new, ME2 suddenly didn't look so bad any more. Sure, it was more of the same, kinda, but then I remembered that I liked that. :) It will never bring me the thrill of novelty ME1 did, but I feel it's a bit unfair to hold that against its successor. Currently, with all the DLC, and especially LoSB, I feel right at home in ME2 too.

Shepard doesn't need a huge emotional breakdown, whether FemShep or MShep. I just want her to acknowledge that, "hey, I don't like how it seems every single bloody person is expecting me to save their a**es, as well as the universe." Joining Cerberus makes sense for renegades, but for sole survivors, with no ability to get enraged at Cerberus?

Any particular personal reason Femshep would have to get enraged at Cerberus? Sure, I can imagine her having some serious questions, but rage? It's like Miranda said (quoted from memory): "Cerberus gave you a second chance. Maybe you should give them one, too." I liked that.

I also like she's with Cerberus. Relations with the Council have cooled off (which I also like: it's not all going smooth); and Femshep just takes all the help she can get, even if that help comes from an unexpected, and perhaps not entirely politically correct, direction. Cerberus is willing to fund the mission: the rest is not. Simple as that.

I almost got myself killed assaulting a high tech compound's dude just to get your home made porn films back.
And now Jacob's perfect. That's great.

Akuze is the only reason i need to get enraged on Cerberus

but there are a lot more. the fact that they are willing to fund you doesn't make them any better. all Miranda's excuses are generally the result of her being misguided. even she understands that something isn't right by the end of the game

but it's really not a discussion for that thread, don't kill me Ryn

My Shep is a Renegade (at least that's what part was more full by the end of ME1) and she's Anti-Cerberus so it's a simple matter of whether or not you support their goal of a human hegemony in the galaxy. If you don't then you will always be fundamentally opposed to Cerberus.

Plus everyone really fails at making you want to trust Cerberus in ME2, Miranda's answers are political which is to say they mean nothing and contain no actual content, Jacob's a merc who thinks he's somehow better than his employers and TIM routinely betrays and uses Shepard in the course of the game for vague reasons of "The Greater Good".

That's because it's not about better or worse. It's a simple matter of reality: the Council, heck, even your own Alliance, they're just looking at you, laughing the blue off their asses, and do absolutely nothing to help! I'm sure Shepard is not so misguided as to think Cerberus really are the good guys; but they got money, equipment, and the willingness to commit those resources towards saving the galaxy (why, that should read: towards furthering their own agenda, one way or the other; but, sideways, at least, they're still helping Shepard). I simply like that sense of political realism.

Shepard doesn't particularly like Cerberus; but, as she made clear to Tali, she's in charge of the Normandy, not Cerberus. And she can't stand the Illusive Man, really. But he too is far away; and meanwhile she's just free to do her own thing.

Does anyone RP their Shepard as being pro-Cerberus?

I'm curious about how y'all RP your FemSheppies.

I only have one main FemShep and she doesn't support Cerberus.

Except she doesn't really do her own thing, but follows TIM's "advice". Shepard goes to Freedom's Progress because he tells her to. Same goes for Horizon, the Derelict Reaper, the Collectors base and every recruitment mission (even if a few of them go 'wrong'). Shepard rarely gets the chance to do "her own thing", like keeping or destroying the base or deciding what to do with the information found on Lorek.

I just want to know...is Kasumi still all over him?

I'm hoping for an epic FemShep/Kasumi catfight over Jacob in ME3 :P

This is the only catfight I support...I'm completely against LIs fighting over Shepard.  That I find distasteful.  But Shepard herself getting into one...could be interesting.

I actually support fighting a rival from trying to romance your LI.

Does keeping the collector base count as pro-Cerberus ?
My sheps are not loyal to Cerberus. The collector base is a resource. In ME3 I'd be pissed if there's no option of  involving the Alliance or even the Council.  Shepard has the Normandy. The normandy has the IFF.  He can go there anytime he wants. Have EDI to reverse engineer the thing and install it on other ships.
I know. I'm dreaming. Most likely BW won't give us that choice and it'll be all black and white. No grey area.

Miri's dossier mentioned Timmeh's assasination. that's how i roleplay my Shep.

still, she'll have to bone him before killing. or maybe leave him alive as sex-slave. mmmm

No, my FemShep (always Renegade) pretty much plans to betray them from the beginning, and the fact that she took two of their top agents with her is an added bonus.

My renegade FemSheppers is very anti-cerberus (plus she's a sole survivor.)  She's using them for their resources but that's it.  I tell TIM to get bent at the first opportunity ie. after the base is destroyed.  She doesn't like the Alliance very much right now either, soooo ME3 should hopefully be interesting.

I have a FemShep I'm working on who is a bit too licentious for her own good.
She'll romance Jacob.
I'll even put off my Shepley romance for this experiment.

I'm really worried about how ME3 will end up, so I think I'll save my retconned Kaidan-faithful Paragade FemShep until ME3.  And if it has the possibility to end up happy, then I will play her through.  If not, her story ends at ME1.

I have about 4 FemSheps now.  Jeez.  And only 2 MSheps, only one which I've passed ME1 with.  FemShep is just so much more interesting to play.

EDIT: and I do have a FemShep that is more or less pro-Cerberus.  But she's a psychopath in general who is mad about her situation, and since the Alliance bridges are burned, and Cerberus brought her back, she just flows with it.

One of my Renegade FemSheps who I have since deleted was loyal to Cerberus.  They way I roleplayed it was that it wasn't much of her choice.  I played it as if the Lazarus Project was more than just bringing her back to life but to make sure she was loyal to Cer. and TIM.  She was a Renegon in ME1 but just turned into TIM's machine that he could manipulate into his servant in ME2.  The only reason I deleted her was because I didn't like the fact that this machine was going anywhere near Liara.  :(   Since she had romanced her in ME1.   I may try another similar Renegade playthrough though, sans the romance.
