Name: Abby Shepard
Background: Spacer/War hero
Alignment: Usually paragon, indulging herself with some renegade actions...
class: Vanguard (both in ME1 and ME2)
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities: ME1:pistols, shotguns, throw. ME2: charge, shotgun, shotgun, shotgun, charge...

ME1 Decisions
ME1 Council: She saved 10.000 asari and a big ship. The three morons of the
Council were collateral no-damage
The Rachni: The Queen lives!!!.
What happened on Feros?: She sucks at throwing granades. So, she used melee attacks. Problem was, there were 2 o 3 civilians really squishy that couldn't take a punch. The mission report says "Acceptable losses". Shiala lives ( It's widely whispered in Alliance ranks the Commander has a 'thing' for asari )
Conrad Verner: She made sure Conrad lived (so he could annoy her again 2 years later). But she didn't deny herself the pleasure of shoving a gun to his face.
Noveria: Gianna Parasini is a very cool human. She helped her take down Anoleis.
Virmire: Human male vaporized. Wrex is her friend. They talked it out. Kirrahe lived and keeps holding the line.
Anderson or Udina: Anderson

ME2 Decisions
The Council: Spectre status reinstated
The Collector Base: Kept it.
Suicide Mission: No casualties. Everybody loyal. Entire crew saved.
The Heretics: destroyed them.
Tali: Not-exiled, rallying the crowd. She has the most profound respect for Kal Reegar ( gotta love a guy who can insult some idiots on a pedestal and get away with it.
Jacob Taylor: His dad got mob lynched.
Garrus: She left him take the shot.
Jack: Convinced not to shoot Arresh
Mordin: His assistant lives. Told him to cure the genophage
Samara: Samara.
Miranda: She spared Nicket and she's in touch with her sister.
Overlord: David is free.
Kasumi: Kept Kaji's greybox.
Romance: Liara ( ME1 and ME2)

Personality, romance and stuff:
Only child. Constant moving growing up made her lonely. The other kids she knew were in the same situation, so even if she stayed for a couple of years in the same place, she never got a friend who cuold be around for more than six months. After a while, the other kids, teachers, instructors were there just to complete the scenery. She became isolated. Even when her career was a path already chosen for her, she was happy to do it. Being in the military helped her disguise some OCD traits as hard work and dedication.
Although she doesn't like being in crowds or parties, her years of constant moving taught her to be very adaptive to any type of situation and she can be funniest girl in the bunch. Fitting in is an art for her.
When she knew Liara she was inmediatly intrigued with her. Why an asari, in her most joyful stage of her life chooses to be alone in some remote planet, doing research about a civilization long gone. She enjoyed her firsts talks with Liara, but after the first mind melding everything changed. Abby knew that Liara felt and saw much more than her vision from the Prothean relic. At first, she was terrified, exposed and vulnerable. But, around Liara, all those fears vanished and were replace by a sensation of peace and familiarity she never knew.
She feels very close to Wrex and Tali. Later on, with Jack. Grunt ? Friendship wouldn't be accurate. More like "maternal instinct", if such thing exists.
Three fun facts:
1) She's not a believer, but she studies religion (old, present, human or alien) with passion
2) She loves to dance to really dark electronic music, with relentless pummeling beats ramming her chest (and ears). She doesn't care she's not good at it. No one does. She finds Afterlife's VIP much more appealing than Flux.
2) The only thing she kept from junior high and high school is an old notebook with her calligraphy lessons. She excelled but her actual handwriting is awful

Name: Commander Io (from Greek mythology; pronounced eye-oh) Shepard
Background: Earthborn/Sole Survivor
Alignment: Leans towards the paragon side of things but finds being a renegade is necessary sometimes (see Elnora).
class: Soldier
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities: Assault Rifles. Pistols. Adrenaline Rush. Cryo Ammo.
Combat Style: Shoot to kill.
Decisions, decisions, decisions....
ME1 Council: Human lives are no more
important than alien lives. The Destiny Ascension had a mighty big crew. That and government, like it or not, is important. She’s sure that eventually the Council will come around. At least she keeps trying to convince herself of that.
The Rachni: Released the Queen. She never did anything to Shepard personally.
What happened on Feros?: Shepard is not so great with the grenades. Somehow she runs out completely half way through. Saved eight colonists, had to kill eight colonists. She feels really, really bad about that.
Virmire: Sacrificed Ashley. Wrex survived. Even though she’d never admit it she still has some guilt over leaving Ash. She wonders if she would have made the same choice if someone else had been in Kaidan’s place.
Conrad Verner: Gave him an autograph to get rid of him. Would later hit him and would not regret it.
Noveria: Helped Gianna take down Anoleis and enjoyed every minute of it.
Bring Down the Sky: Balack was going to kill again- who knows how many times. The loss of the three hostages guaranteed he wouldn’t hurt another soul. After the fight he was turned over to the Alliance.
Anderson or Udina: After what Udina did post-Virmire there was no question. Anderson.
ME1 Squaddies: Kaidan and Garrus
ME 2 Squaddies: Garrus and Tali/Kasumi
ME2 and the Council: Shep knows a thing or two about politics. She told them all she was honored to be reinstated. Even though on the inside she wanted to slap them all for ignoring her warning…again.
The Collector Base: Destroyed
Suicide Mission casualties: None
The Geth: Rewritten. Seriously hoping that doesn’t backfire later.
Tali: She wasn’t exiled.
Garrus: Even though the idea of killing Sidonis wasn’t her favorite, she’d do anything for Garrus.
Genophage cure data: The idea of what a huge Krogan population could do makes her very nervous. Still…no species deserves something like the genophage. Perhaps Wrex can do some good this time around.
Overlord: She hasn’t done that yet! (:
Kasumi: Shepard knows that if all she had left of Kaidan were something like the greybox she would never, ever give it up. So she told Kasumi to keep it.
Casual Uniform of Choice: The standard Cerberus uniform. Granted she’d love to cut the Cerberus logos off and burn them. Or, you know, just get her Alliance one back.
Personal stuff
Romance: Kaidan Alenko.
Why Shepard and her LI are such a great match: Io was never looking for someone. She just generally assumed she would never get serious with anyone. There had been a few interested parties over the years but no one cared enough to try and get past her walls. Until Kaidan, that is. When they were chasing down Saren she knew she could always count on him for an honest opinion and a shoulder if she needed it. She doesn’t have to be in charge with Kaidan. She can just be herself. He is the only person she’s ever cried in front of. That says a lot. Horizon hurt- it really did. She has no desire to work with Cerberus but knows she needs to for the time being. She had been caught off guard and didn’t have a good response when he accused her of betrayal. After much reflection (and an email) she felt better. She admires him for sticking with the Alliance, for standing for something.
Best Friends: Garrus, Tali, and probably Liara. When something frustrates her she knows she can go to them. It’s not like with Kaidan though. She never completely drops her guard. Still, aside from him, she trusts them more than anyone.
Personality: For someone with such a rough upbringing Io is surprisingly nice. She hated the world she grew up in- everyone was out for themselves. That’s the reason she tries so hard to live by the golden rule- treat others the way you would like to be treated. Granted she has her moments and can be a scary person when she’s mad. She’s very welcoming and tries to stay positive. She can be pretty sarcastic when you get her going. She tries to be as honest as possible. She loves to laugh and feels she doesn’t get enough opportunity to do so.
Three fun facts: 1) She always slightly resented the fact that she never got to pursue an education. When she was young she dreamed of attending a big university and getting a degree in something like history. 2) She loves the feel of walking barefoot through green grass. 3) classical music is her favorite. She loves how music people have been listening to for thousands of years is still around- it’s like a connection to the past. It calms her down and prevents her mind from dwelling on unpleasant things.
--This was a great idea. I've been lurking around here for the past few days but I definitely had to post this. I've been wanting to get my Shepard's story shaped and this was a brilliant way to get started. Oh and Shep really is a paragon. The picture above was from early on in the ME2 run through. I don't have many pictures because to get any I have to take a picture of my screen (I play on the 360) and they don't like to turn out well. Boo.
EDIT: Typos noticed and corrected. (:

Kaidan gets a good look at new FemShep. Mmmm...
i'm going to bed. Parting question: Do you think of FemShep as an Avatar or a Character or both?
Here's my thinking: To me, I made my femshep to be an avatar - basically a version of me in game. but ms. hale's vocal performance + the convo wheel thing means she ended up being her own character for me. i don't know if it was that Mr. Meer's performance was a little more avatar like for me - it faded into the background while ms. hale's did not or that i really had to think about why she would become the hero of the citadel. hale's performance has a lot of passion and humor to it...
anyhow - for you FemShep is an avatar (basically a cooler version of you) or a Character (her own person, though she might have been based on you at some point)

Name: Vielle Shepard (a.k.a. Vi, TermiShep, and "I Can't Believe It's Not Motoko Kusanagi")
Background: Colonist/Sole Survivor
Alignment: She used to be Paragade, back in ME1. ME2 shows a gradual slide into Renegon territory- she’s not a bad person, really, just bitter, disillusioned, and totally fed up with playing the ‘good cop’ but getting nothing out of it.
class: Infiltrator
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities: Stealth Cloak/NeuralShock/Cryo Rounds.
Also, Widow Rifle. I loves that gun. ;3;
Decisions, decisions, decisions....
ME1 Council: Saved the Council, like an idealistic moron. She actually thought they might do something.
The Rachni: Released the
What happened on Feros?: No civilian casualties. Shiala was spared, albeit only because I clicked the wrong button for ‘shoot potential threat in the head’.
Virmire: Ashley sacrificed. Wrex was talked down.
Conrad Verner: Never before was shoving a gun in someone’s face so satisfying.
Noveria: Gave the evidence to Gianna Parasini.
Bring Down the Sky: …I’ve never played it. >.>
Anderson or Udina: Anderson. Though I usually choose Udina in ME2, for the sake of canon.
ME2 and the Council: Gave the Council the finger. Screw them and the ship they rode in on.
The Collector Base: Saved it. Yeah, the decision surprised both of us.
Suicide Mission casualties: Jack, on my first playthrough. None, on all subsequent runs.
The Geth: Rewrote them.
Tali: Exonerated. Also, hugged.
Genophage cure data: Saved it. Never know when something like that could come in handy.
Overlord: Sent David to the Grissom Academy. There are some lines even I won’t cross.
Kasumi: Destroyed the Greybox. I don’t know what was in that thing, and I don’t care. He wanted it destroyed, and Kasumi needed to move on.
Personal stuff
Romance: Absolutely no one (canon)! : D
Why Shepard and her LI are such a great match: …What LI? >.>
I’ll come back and finish this one later. I do have my reasons; it’s just that eloquence seems to be eluding me at the moment.
Best Friends: Vi is the epitome of ‘A Mother To Her Men’. She gets very attached to the people under her command. A bit like a bear, in fact, if that bear happened to be rabid. And carried an antitank rifle. (it's mostly born out of a half-crazed desire to never lose else important to her, EVER AGAIN). Or, if you prefer a human example… think of her as Malcolm Reynolds’ distaff counterpart.
Specifically, though… she actually gets along very well with Miranda. Don’[t ask me why. I don’t quite get it myself. They just… do. Maybe it’s the propensity for Deadpan Snark (see also, Joker).
Ashley was her best friend; sadly, she did not survive the mission on Virmire.
And, of course, there is Corporal Toombs. Out of all the people she’s met, possibly because of what they went through on Akuze, she still feels a very strong bond with him. It’s not romantic, precisely… more like a combination of responsibility, survivor’s guilt, and comraderie.
Ever since Akuze, Vi carried around the trench knife that saved her- dull and pitted from corrosion, but it was her lucky charm. Like a comfort blanket, or a locket- it protected her; helped assure the Commander that things would pull through.
Said trench knife is currently in the possession of Corporal Toombs- she gave it to him after their last meeting. It was the first time she’d ever let it out of her sight.
Sure as hell made his letter feel like a punch in the gut, I can tell you that.
Personality: Sardonic, direct, and bitter as all hell.
Bear in mind that this is a woman who has lost absolutely everything: her parents, her childhood, her entire squad on Akuze... and, over the course of the games, her ship, her friends and her life. The Alliance, which she clung so desperately to because it was the only thing that gave her purpose, has turned its back on her. The Council, to top it off, has more or less given her the finger.
She is not a person who trusts anyone at the drop of a hat, and is even less inclined to let people -except perhaps her Nakama- get much closer than arm's length. She has grown a nest of thorns around her heart and armored herself in 'duty', 'responsibility', and 'justice'. She looks toward the future because she has to- it's too painful and pointless to dwell on the past.
Likewise, she takes failure extremely hard. She doesn't cut herself any more slack than she does other people- less, probably.
She has, however, learned how to channel her issues into something constructive. They've given her a strength and determination second to none, for one thing. She's the sort of person who looks at the world and says: "No, you move."
That said, has a weakness for three-piece suits and the Magnificent Bastards who wear them.
Dammit. >.<
Three fun facts:
-Wanted to become a lawyer when she grew up.
-Has a distressing tendency to snort when she laughs.
-You know that trench knife I mentioned?
She killed a Thresher Maw with it.

Good question...
I will say the latter. The first few times I played ME1, I modeled her to look like me as well as choose every single option, I would if I were her. Then I realized that she was a bit boring and I wanted to give her more of a backbone. lol! So I started trying to figure out her background and then in ME2, I gave her a complete looks overhaul. I modeled her after features I find most attractive and maybe a little of an ex gf.
Some of the things she does are similar to what I would do, also one major thing we have in common is we never met our real parents. I'll go into more detail on her backstory one of these days but yeah, Hale has made her an iconic hero for me and I sometimes feel as if I'm watching the greatest movie that was ever made when playing with her.
Oh and here's some pics I captured tonight for fun. They can almost rival a PC player's. Almost.
