Intro stuffFull Name: Kira Eleanor Shepard

Background: Colonist/Sole Survivor
Alignment: Paragon
class: Vanguard
Favorite Combat Ability or Abilities: Although she should be concentrating more on her biotic abilities, Kira recently hacked her way into using the M-29 Incisor Sniper Rifle. Figuring no one will try and run in a Spectre, she doesn't see the harm. Nor does she consider her action particularly renegade, either, btw: when asked to save the universe, bureaucrats should simply stay out of her face... and they do.
Decisions, decisions, decisions....
ME1 Council: Saved the Council, figuring humanity would benefit from it in the long run.
The Rachni: Released the Queen: they were victims of the Reapers just as every one else the Reapers used.
What happened on Feros?: Two casualties, Shiala was spared.
Virmire: Kaidan didn't make it out alive.
Conrad Verner: Mainly just avoided him.
Noveria: Helped Gianna Parasini, and was glad to assist her again on Ilium in ME2.
Bring Down the Sky: Shot Balak point-blank. Paragon or no, Kira's got exactly no stomach for outright scum.
Anderson or Udina: Anderson
ME1 Squad: Tali/Ashley/Liara
ME 2 Squad: Tali/Kasumi/Jack
ME2 and the Council: Got reinstated as a Spectre by the Council; though she realizes it's just a token title, she'll use what she can get.
The Collector Base: Destroyed it and told TIM to shove it.
Suicide Mission casualties: Jacob, Zaeed, Grunt
The Geth: Rewrote them.
Tali: Not exiled. Didn't hand over crucial evidence found on the Alerei, though. Honored Tali's request not to tarnish the reputation of her father. Although already dead, Kira deemed it in bad taste to kill him a second time.
Genophage cure data: Kept it.
Overlord: Set David free
Kasumi: Let her keep the greybox
Personal stuff
Romance: Liara in ME1. No one in ME2.
Why Shepard and her LI are such a great match: LI-ara was her love-interest in ME1. She almost immediately felt drawn to her. Two souls, both having lived a rather isolated life, it was a match waiting to happen. Refined and cultered as Liara was, she filled a void in Kira not easily otherwise catered to in her military career. Come ME2, however, things were different from the get-go. Liara had changed a lot. Mostly for the better, really. More mature. More resolute. Also a bit more obsessed, to be honest. This time around Kira didn't pursue a romantic relationship with her. Something seemed off. Perhaps Kira felt Liara was too preoccupied with her business affairs. Perhaps she saw Liara no longer really needed her (and therefore instinctively held her at bay, realizing it could never again be as it was before). Regardless, nothing came of it. While aboard the Normandy, Kira sought the flirtations of the begiling Ms. Chambers, which resulted in a nice 'dinner'. And though she wasn't romanatically interested in Jack, tried to help her as best as she could nonetheless. Still needing the company of old friends, she welcomed the opportunity to go recruit Tali, and was delighted to be in a position to really help out Tali later. Paragons receive a lot of love by giving it, you know.
Best Friends: Tali and Ashley. Being a sole survivor herself, Kira has always had great empathy for Tali and her people. She never sought a romantic relationship with her, but considers her more like a close sister. As such, she's always taken Tali under her wing, as it were, and carries a special place in her heart for this brave Quarian. Whenever Kira meets Tali she cannot help but be reminded of what it is to survive... and doing so with one's head held up. Tali's unbridled optimism and high-spirited way of being, despite the harsh living conditions of the Migrant Fleet, is a constant source of inspiration for Kira, who simply never ceases to be in awe of Tali's 'joie de vivre'.
Tali, in a way, is a representative of a race in trouble. Whenever things get tough, and Kira feels the jackle awakening in her, and wants to take an outright renegade action, Tali is always in the back of her mind, reminding her of what it means to be a representative of your entire people. Quarians don't have huge fleets and firepower. Their kindness is really all they got. And yet Tali is by no means a push-over. She gets what she wants for her people: just goes about it in a gentle way. As a result, Kira never forgets what profound repercusions one's actions can have with other races in the galaxy, and strives to represent humanity the best and most honorable way she can.
Kira never much liked Kaidan. Although she's come to respect him on a professional level, she foumd him inspiring to... nothing. Kira's feelings for him are best summed up quoting a small section of her Personal Journal, written the day after Virmire:
"Kaidan is gone. And I'm still unclear as to my feelings around him. On a bad day I've been know to say I don't trust a man who never swears. On a good day I simply found him lacking in leadership. Either way, for someone who spoke so little to the imagination, he managed to inspire us all the day he died, making the ultimate sacrifice, willingly and without hesitation, showing himself to be what he was above all: a model officer. And that's how I will choose to remember him."
Kira always felt good around Ashley, a typical WYSIWYG girl: no bull, no politics (both of which the universe has too much of, in Kira's eyes). Ashley always has your back, and she was simply fun to bring along (and fun is something this cr*phill 'verse has too little of, in Kira's eyes). Though no profound bond existed between the two, even Kira began to notice herself that, by the end of ME1, she almost always took Ashley along in her party.
Personality: Kira's grown quite a bit. She didn't exactly start out her life as a paragon. Kira grew up, occassionally given to bouts of rage; and though seen as very smart, was generally considered 'bossy' (which was really just her way of finding order in her life: a structure she finally found in the military). Later, when she ran into Talitha, the young fellow survivor of Mindoir, Kira realized, for the first time in a long time, how far she had come herself. Recalling the confusion and frustration of being a sole survivor (and being slightly triggered in the process), Kira grasped only all too well how things might have been entirely different for herself, given circumstances had been somewhat less favorable. She was able to talk down Talitha successfully, allowing her to begin her healing process. And that day assuredly brought a bit of closure for Kira herself as well.
Three fun facts: 1) Being rather disorganized and angry at a young age, Kira was considered 'Least likely to succeed' in 6th Grade. 2) Saw herself in a whole different light after watching Death Note.

3) Is good at saving entire galaxies, but tends to forget to feed her fish.
