Eesh, keeping up with this thread is a challenge.  There's some great art here!  Hmm... it's been a while, I'm going to have to scrounge up my Wacom.  And that's so cool that one of our own actually got into contact with Jennifer Hale!  We definitely want voice acting's leading lady to know how much we appreciate her.

I've really enjoyed reading the bios for people's Shepards here.  I was going to post mine but it's way too long, nobody would read it.  I had no idea my canon Shepard was so detailed till I started writing about her.  Oh well... new screenshots instead!

Flirtythoughts!

Unlike what these screenies might imply, my Shepard doesn't have anything going on with Garrus, she's a Liara girl all the way.  I still found the pairing amusing though.

Damn, is hard to keep up with this thread....

I've played several shepards. But only one I just kept going back to (Abby).
The others were there to explore the game, different classes. Right now, I have a new one that I'm starting to like. I'm still playing ME1 with this new shep. We'll see if I "get attached"

if your Shepard had a theme song, what would it be?

"a" song ? as in one song? that's tough. For Abby this one fits great. Didn't know that "song" up until recently. I found it in these forums. Fate ?

I'm only really attached to one of my Shepards, Noah. The rest I've deleted or I didn't finish the game with them.
But I'm trying to create a new one right now - it just might take me ages to come up with a decent story for her and the looks to go with it.

I needed to ask, because I have two favourite FemSheps (Zorya and Sabina), even though I have 4 so far. My first, "canon," Shep, I just played as a Renegade before I got into the whole constructing stories for my Shepards, and I don't feel as close to her, or I have less of a vested interest. So I had to just categorize her as a sociopath. And the other one, I'm playing as neutral for the sake of it. And I have less interest in playing her, but am playing her to see how ME is completely neutral (and perhaps she'll romance Joker in ME3).

Sorry if it's been asked before.

I have one "canon" Shep, my Infiltrator Jessica.  When I first played Mass Effect I went as an Adept redhead, but I don't even remember her name.  The game and the character didn't grab me at first, and I didn't even touch ME1 again until I could pair it and ME2 up together to make something better than either one alone.  Jessica came into being and she is now the only character I can go through Mass Effect with, either game.  I have another Adept, Alexis, now a black woman instead of a redhead, but I have barely gotten anywhere with her.  I've tried a manShep and haven't even gotten past Eden Prime.  I think, much like with KOTOR and the face I chose for Revan, I have become stuck on one face for Shepard to the point that I can't play the game at all unless it's with that face.

I do have several but being an altaholic in this game is a lot more difficult than in many others. Hale's VO makes all the Sheps feel much like the same person. In anything from BG to KOTOR to JE to DAO, you could imagine your own particular voice or nuances to the character's expressions and behaviour. Not so with ME. Ever consecutive Shepard is automatically matched to my mainSheps, and I really have to work to keep them separate in my mind. The typical scribblings and imaginary delvings into the "fanfic" stories I always think of in my mind of course help, but only up to a certain point.

Interesting tidbit btw. Just watched a number of youtube videos inspired by SWTOR, and bumped into DC Universe, which led me to Wikipedia and the list of confirmed characters and VO's in the game. Which led me to my personal favorite of DC characters, being Zatanna... and guess who's the VO for her?

Jennifer Hale.

Funny coincidence, man the world is a small and weird place sometimes. :)

I have one Shepard that I consider to be my canon, my Adept named Kate. I am incredibly attached to her and, in my mind, she IS the character of Commander Shepard, and her story is Shepard's story. I have a couple of secondary Shepards, but it feels quite bizarre to see and hear them occupying what I consider to be Kate's role in the ME story. For that reason, I'm quite reluctant to play through the game with any Shepard that is not Kate. It just feels...wrong.

That, and I have constructed a detailed backstory and personality for Kate, and she feels quite deep and fleshed out as a result.

Umm *raises hand* I'd read it :)
If you think it might be too long for the thread you could always post it on the group page under Shepard's Story.

And love the screenie.  Inadvertant facial expressions are the best.  Lol, looks like she's biting her lip.  Shep is rather pervy, no?

Side note, your FemShep has a nice combination of an uncommon lip and nose choice.  It just goes to show even though most people choose the same 2-3 options in the creator they can all look good in the right context.

Nice arwork Ashwraith! I really like the coloring...the black and white with the red.

I'm finding it easy to play through ME2 currently with the new Shep I made (I've only really played with my main so far). I think it's because I really put some effort into her backstory and I really like it, so I'm interested in playing on with her. She's also quite Renegade, so it's fun to play through and see the different options/dialog.

I am most attached to my first femShep, Devi, which I created in ME1 a couple of years back. Since I have gone through multiple playthroughs with her I pushed myself to make a male Shep, Ezra, and another femShep, Indra......
I don't see them as canon but as a way to break the monotony that comes with playing the same character over and over again. I still have ME3 to look forward to and would hate to be sick of using my original Shepard by the time it comes out.

Do I have to do anything in particular in order to be able to take screenshots? I know a few games which require you to edit an ini file or something to enable it, or is my printscreen button just totally broken.

You can edit coalesced.ini and bind a key to take screenshots but it sucks 'cause it doesnt work during cutscenes.
Use fraps. It works great.

I just completed LotSB a second time, anyone notice how Shep sits when she talks to Liara during catch up? Shes wearing the dress Kasumi got her, and her legs are wide open! Then she rests a knuckle on one knee

I can usually tolerate her manly movements, but thats too much!

You sure about that? To my knowledge, FemShep possesses a unique sitting animation during that scene, when she is seated on her bed. This prevents Shepard from suffering from "Sharon Stone syndrome".

Here, a screenshot of Akodo's Shepard:

Hmmm. Perhaps your game glitched, or something?
