hyrule - i like.
i, too, have a very strong hunch that a VS DLC is in the works. at first it just looked like the VS got overlooked to me, but the more i (over)analyze the situation, the more it looks like the VS is deliberately being kept secret. To me it seemed obvious from the first that a Liara/Shadow Broker DLC was in the works, but there were voice files to back that up, too. But again, I just find the stuff surrounding the VS to be almost *too* quiet.
Here's to hoping anyhow.
"Let's DO this DLC thing."
I hope that it's true and we will see a VS DLC. But I don't know - I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not BioWare actually had Shadow Broker planned out from the start, cut it and then only resumed work on it after the massive critisism of how Liara was handled in the main game. If this is the case, then it stands to reason that BioWare also completely underestimated how much fans of the first game would care about the VS, and more to the point how critical they would be of BioWare having Ashley and Kaidan acting simply as eachother's placeholder, rather than in-character.
Given how many nods to ME2 criticism there's been in Shadow Broker (Cerberus railroading, banter, omni-gel/minigames, Liara just asking Shep to hack terminals after coming back from the dead etc.) it does seem like the writers got a serious wake-up call after ME2's release. I just hope that extends to Ashley and Kaidan, and that they're given time to actually write two sets of dialogue, since the characters are so different. Shadow Broker's dialogue was a lot more personal and low-key in all the areas that mattered - Shepard stopped being a bravado-filled actionhero template and actually became a human being again. I seriously hope that this is the tone the writers will take with all dialogue from now on...and that the VO Director follows through on that.
