Yay! Found it. If you haven't listened to this interview then please do. It also gives some behind the scene's info about ME1 and ME2. ;)

You can hear that quote someone in the middle of part 2.

Thanks, I'm going to check those out!

Thanks! I will check this interview out a little later.

On a related note, I think that Jennifer Hale conducts herself beautifully in interviews. Some time ago, I watched a video on YouTube in which she was interviewed regarding her work in the Metal Gear series, playing Naomi Hunter. She's amazing, and comes across as being intelligent, funny, witty, informed and very sharp. It also seems that she is quite passionate about and engrossed in her work. Love it!

FemShep has the ability to have a set of totally unique animations but BioWare cuts corners and recycles a bunch of MShep animations as quickly as they can. It's lazy but not super lazy, as in all things money is the root of all evil. Stuff like this happens because they want to save money or ran out of money or want to spend money somewhere else.

Their saving money doesn't benefit the main character of Mass Effect.  We can hear about the stats all day that say more people play MaleShep, but the fact is that if we are going to be staring at Commander Shepard for an entire game, then we should get polished animations.  MaleShep players paid for their game and got a polished leading character and we the FemShep players also paid for our game, yet we get a FemShep that sits with her legs wide open in a dress.

And it is her obvious passion that makes her so unbelieably talented. It's like she really pours herself into her work and puts herself into the character she is voicing. Her VA is just incredible and she brought so much life to FemShep.  I spent a good few hours one afternoon watching her in several interviews. My husband thought I was crazy, but it was an afternoon well spent.

I've also seen another interview with Jennifer Hale. Oddly enough at the time of that interview she wasn't willing to do any acting. That radically changed when she was talked into it a couple of years later. Now motion capturing seems to be something she really wants. Cool how things can change. ;)

ME1's walking animation looked OK on FemShep and girly on ManShep. Couldn't they have re-use the old one for teh Ladies and apply the new walking animation to ManShep only for ME2? I mean, the game aleady needs 2 discs so I can't imagine an extra set of animations would not have fit on one of them.

Are people aware of the slight differences in LotSB romance scenes for a FemShep vs. a MaleShep? Unsurprisingly, the FemShep version isn't as polished, given that there are clipping issues during the 'kiss interrupt' on the SB base that don't exist with the Male Shep version. Plus, there are lovely little extras in the MaleShep version that are not in the FemShep version, more smiling animations for Liara plus she sobs outwardly instead of just crying (like in the non-romanced Liara version).

So, this goes to show that the morons that claim MaleShep and FemShep are treated the exact same in the game (not mentioning any names here) are in fact....morons. They don't think threads like this are necessary as MaleShep/FemShep are already equal.

Well, the Liara LotSB romance would like to have a word with you...this ain't the case and FemShep and her fans, once again, get the short end of the stick. It seems like they spent most of their time on the MaleShep version of these romance scenes, and threw together the FemShep one at the end. The FemShep romance stuff isn't all that different from what the non-romancers see, given that these nice little romance 'extras' that MaleShep gets are missing.

Edit: Actually near the end, but she starts talking about that wish in the middle.

Oh my! I think I just fell in love with Jennifer Hale. Oh wait... I already was. :P

The low audio bitrate on those video's really doesn't do her gorgeous voice justice; but it's her alright, and lovely as ever. And she really seems like a genuinely caring person. You know, like someone who deservers better animations. :)

Wow, a part of me wishes I could just go on pretending I never read any of this. When you see it back to back like that. It's such a small part of the scene but yet it does make a difference.

:D Than that must be it. Otherwise it would have been the most terrible ManShep dialogue I've ever heard.

Those were some great interviews! I'm thinking that with all the attention FemShep/Jennifer Hale has received recently that Bioware will actually give her the credit she deserves for ME:3. Well, let us hope...
