Well the romances for Dragon Age were all busted and never worked properly so this sort of stuff is a BioWare tradition. Pretty good stories and characters shoved into a technological mess filled to the brim with bugs and broken stuff. My BioWare expectations hit rock bottom with the DA2 announcement so I'm not bummed out about this, if it's a bug I'd like them to fix it and if it's not then I'd like to hear why they did this. At least the game recognized that you romanced Liara, since Witch Hunt didn't.

I know, OT, but odd thing is, I had no problem w/ Witch Hunt in that respect and I was playing w/ a female Warden w/ the equal love mod.  I'm on PC running Win XP.  Heard a lot of people had problems w/ DA and Win 7.

Anyway, back to femShep.  When she's good, she's good, but when she's bad, she's better.

And guess what, les? Ignorance really IS bliss in my case, I'm not LOOKING at the comparison vid. I will NOT allow ANYTHING to impede my enjoyment of my favorite game, I will NOT allow the moment that you and I both broke into tears for to be tarnished by visual proof that people like Chris "Oh Women On Videogame Covers Will NEVER Sell... no I have NO IDEA who that Lara person is" Priestly call the shots on these sorts of things.



Then again, I'm more in the Liara groups than here anyway, so feel free to ignore my mini-rant.

Damn straight.

Regarding the previous conversation on if we would have played ME1 if there were no femShep, I probably would've. But the inclusion of femShep turned my standard "ho, hum, it's just a game" response into full-blown crazy devotion.

(This is my first post in this thread but I've been lurking for a while and I totally love it. The thread, I mean, not the lurking. )

Whoah!  Okay, in the first video, there are a couple bits that I absolutely cannot place at all, and I've played through the game twice.  The line in the conference room where Shep asks EDI about the "active crew aboard the ship", then smirks at Miranda when EDI answers 24?  What conversation is that part of?  And I know the line Shep says to Thane and Jacob about the spiky alien death machines, or whatever, is on the derelict Reaper (or at least I think it is), but how do you get the opportunity to comment on that?

That's right after the Korlus mission, they're talking about Grunt in the tank, and that they can vent the hold if he gets out.

And I know the line Shep says to Thane and Jacob about the spiky alien death machines, or whatever, is on the derelict Reaper (or at least I think it is), but how do you get the opportunity to comment on that?

You just need to take Jacob along for the IFF mission, then you get the option to talk to Jacob about the room they're in.

Just watched the comparison video. Goddamnit Bioware, what the hell.

I thought they were trying different animations when I noticed that FemShep appeared to actually be touching some things properly in LotSB, but the BEST part is borked up? Not cool.

We CANNOT let this slide. I will not rest until I can play LotSB PROPERLY.

That completely changes the tone of the freaking scene.

I feel your pain. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it to happen, though. Now, our resident 'leader' rynluna will likely succeed in eliciting a response from Bioware; but a revamped LoTSB is not something I see forthcoming any time soon.

Best I'm hoping for is that Bioware will make a mental note of what happened when the Femsheppers found out they got the shaft; and that they'll take that into consideration for the next round. Meanwhile, I just won't play LoTSB for a while, until this unsettled feeling subsides.

Yeah, that seems to be the general consensous. It is such a minor detail, but it is a minor detail that matters. Well, at least it has been brought to BioWare's attention.

I just had to say, awesome job with that. My ME1 Shep had a "block" of hair on the side. It was only really visable in cutscenes and whatnot but it still drove me crazy. Seriously, great job touching that up.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel.  I can't even play LotSB at this point.  It's a little thing, but it does a lot to change the emotional tone of the scene, as you said.

After seeing that video though, I can appreciate why so many here are ticked about the lack of attention FemShep received.

I don't think they sticky fan threads, as it looks like they are playing 'favorites' with a character.

But, this thread is easily one of the more active ones in the Character Forum, which is awesome!

And thats why Bioware has so many female devoted fan players when so many other Devs dont. And we female players are more pationate i think. I play MMOs and the only company i ever talk about with my online friends or recoment is bioware..and i have played MANY other games from other companies too.
