I played ME2 before ME1, so I had no idea who Wrex was other than a brief look-up to see who this "Wrex" was that we discussed during the meeting with Urdnot Wreave. After several stock playthroughs, I tried out using Gibbed to "fake" an import from ME1.
Watching Kiara* and Wrex's reactions to seeing each other during the cutscene was and is one of the best-done parts of the game for me, and I didn't even know their whole history yet.
I've since played through ME1 with Kiara, and now that reunion scene has even more impact for me.
* Infiltrator femShep, probably my favorite so far, out of the 9 or so ME2 Sheps I've played.

Seriously... right? You dont see the male forced to flirt with male characters. I just avoid talking to Jacob at all because of that. And what is the deal with FemShep being limited, Jack obviously flips fences so why not let that be an option? You can with the PC version... but ok ok, that would have made me cheat on Liara and maybe I just want to see the marriage, old age and a lot of little blue children.
If I recall correctly, ManShep leans against the table while talking to Jacob and has most of the other animations as FemShep during those conversations.

but would you not after this ask the doc to check you over and give you a full report on what they did to you
I am hoping for a dlc that goes into all this as it was my major grip with 2 even if they put in a few shots of Shepard alone in her room trying to get her head around it would have been better than what we got
also on the hacking thing I would not read to much into it just yet as Shepard also seems to be immune to poison now as the bartender in afterlife found out I wonder if they will do a babylon 5 and have shepard's life span drastically reduced from being brought back or even make her immortal

I think he means that Forvan has been poisoning humans left and right, yet Shepard is the only one to survive. I'm not sure I'd ascribe that to anything other than a plot mcguffin on BioWare's part, though.

Question for ya'll: Have any of you ever considered your femSheps to be flirty? I'm trying to come up with a bio for mine and I'm having trouble deciding. I don't mean over-the-top but rather that "oh you should be so lucky - play your cards right and it might happen" kinda way. I think Hale gets it in some of the ME1 VO with Kaidan but I'm thinking gestures to go with it...
Mine is; but not overly so. She likes the attentions of a certain Yeoman, and will reciprocate a bit in kind, but it's not really meant to go anywhere serious. It's just that it's nice to feel wanted occassionally for matters less pressing than having to save the galaxy. Besides, mild flirtations is really all she's got time for anyway.

I'm assuming that the SR2 will be reused in ME3, and that certain rooms will be repurposed when we inevitably recruit new squadmates. Ashley or Kaidan could work in the armoury, and Liara will need to room to operate her information network from!
i need an option to dim the lights at least in Shep's room
god, i hate bright lights
Ugh, yes....the lighting in Shep's SR2 cabin is horrible. Horrid!
LOL. Seems everyone's pretty down on the SR2. Not to alienate said 'everyone,' but I kinda like it. It's perhaps a mite overbright, but you'll get that on a luxury liner.
How plausible is a luxury SR2? Well, Cerberus is private sector. It's not a military vessel that has a million moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Besides, it's not really all that much more luxurious; sure, it's got leather seats for Mr. Moreau, and the offices are dressed up a bit; but on a whole, it's still "just a copy."

I don't think it's a plot mcguffin. She can drink three batarian ales and a ryncol (which is apparently radioactive, literally) and survive. No normal human could do that. She also doesn't stay drunk very long at all, no matter how much alcohol she swallows -- after an entire bottle of Serrice Ice Brandy, Dr. Chakwas passes out and she just wobbles out of the medbay and is fine in a few minutes. I think Cerberus would want to insure that their trillion-credit investment doesn't go down the tubes just by accidentally swallowing the wrong thing.
I personally think that's tied in with the whole "Shepard can now be hacked" thing, too. She's more machine than human now.

I must say, I'm enjoying my current Renegade FemShep ME2 game and her lines. I'm hearing things that I haven't yet heard in game. I think Hale does an excellent job with the Renegade stuff.
I gave it a try once. A really brief one, to be honest. Gave it up, right from the get-go, when I heard 'my' Femshep say something like: "I'll go get Joker's crippled ass now." Eh, that's not me. And to be brutually honest, I didn't care much for that line.

And to be brutually honest, I didn't care much for that line. And I'm not even sure a renegade Shep would really say that. Whatever the relationship between Shepard and Mr. Moreau has been, there was always mutual respect between the two. "Crippled ass" is so superficial; it's what a marine grunt would say, not an Officer. At least not my Kira. This is an RPG; now I'm willing to go along with a few things, of course; but ultimately, lines like that are a role-breaker for me. I just can't do it.
You just need to pick and choose the Renegade lines. "Hauling Joker's crippled ass outta here" could be ascribed to the stress of having your ship blow up around you, but I agree it's a bit harsh. However, the Renegade options for chewing out Al-Jilani or chewing out the Admiralty Board are utterly outstanding, especially with Hale's delivery. Some of the Renegade Interrupts are really great too and easy enough to fit even on a Paragon Shep. "Hurt me? I hardly felt a thing." Bwahaha.

Okay, thanks for sayin'. I'll give it a try again one day. I did see a compiled video here once, with Femshep renegade lines, and I have to admit, some were frakkin' hilarious.

Jessica is a bit different. Because of her background she does not have a good view of men in general (the line to Ashley "You ask me, all boys need a cold shower that lasts from age twelve to twenty-five" was the outstanding example in the first game of a line that might as well have been written just for her). She doesn't hate men generally speaking, but she has trouble relating to them; nevertheless, she got surprisingly close to Kaidan (at least for her), striking up the deepest friendship she'd had with any man for a long time.
That all changed after Virmire and her sacrifice of Ashley. Not only was she devestated with sorrow and guilt for Ashley's sake, but she also feels resentment that Kaidan got into a situation where she had to make that choice and resents that he's the one who's alive instead of Ash (which makes her feel like a horrible person just by itself). Now she can't look at him without thinking of Virmire and stirring up all those feelings, and as a result she basically shut down around him, talking to him only for duty-related communication. On top of it all is a good dose of guilt for treating him this way, because she intellectually knows it's not his fault and this is very unfair of her. Problem is, she can't stop the feelings, and has no idea how to put things back the way they used to be between them. As a result, her friendship with Kaidan is almost completely dead. I kind of dread how badly she'll treat him on Horizon.
This is one situation where I sit back and say, "What the heck is wrong with you?" Normally my feelings towards the people and events in the games overlay hers, but like often happens for roleplaying and writing, the character has developed a mind of her own and insists on behaving that way, no matter how much I might disagree. Does this happen with anyone else and their Shepards?

It most certainly happends to me. There has been few times when I just stop and go "Why the hell you did that for?". And in some cases I'm thinking further and get responses like "He had it coming!" or some other cool stuff. They are always cooler and wittier than I am. Freaky

This happens to me when I play Renegade. Too often Shepards behavior is a bit too erratic. Even if I have already played a scene and know how she's gonna react I sometimes think "Huh!? What? Why?"Vralenalien wrote...

So I decided to try putting down something and even tho it's not as much fanfic as it's just personal background for Jennifer since I noticed I need that when I write others stuff from her. I thought to share it.
First I thought about just writing background, but then I made it her personal log as she writes things down on Normandy.
**
Jennifer Shepard was born in Mindoir and were raised there until batarians raided the colony when she was 16. She and her parents fought back until artillery strike buried them in the rubble and batarians left her for dead. She survived, but her parents didn't. After Alliance patrol had picked her up from what used to be her home she woved
revenge for the batarians who did that to her. At the age of 18 sheenlisted to alliance as soldier and through skill and almost murderous determination she rose in ranks.
Then came the day when military launched attack on Torfan and the time for her revenge was
at hand. She were pretty sure that the pirates who'd destroyed her life were there and that changed something in her and made her do things she regrets to this day. Sure they were bad people, but still. She also now had a reputation as one who can get the job done no matter the cost. Reputation she wants to get rid off, but can't because she's always thrust in to situations where options are very limited. Butcher of Torfan. Right. She will never get rid of that and it sure didn't help on getting friends so she's pretty closed in on herself. Those who serve under her knows she can get the job done, but at what cost.
Then came the attack on Eden Prime and now in addition to scary reputation she has prothean visions of destruction stuffed in her head and bloody politicians meddling with her life. Getting thrown as a spectre candidate and soon after raised as First Human Spectre. Well being spectre is kind of cool, but there came lots of political crap with it. Anderson got pushed aside and Normandy was handed to her. Would it be ok to shoot Udina and say he was bad? Nah, I don't think even spectre can pull that off. Yet...
And why do I write from myself in third person? Oh, hell with it.

I really didn't like the Renegade lines said during the Normandy's destruction either (my Shepard was kind of mean to Liara....made me cringe!), but I think it fit her character and the situation.
I took the delivery of those lines as a sign of love; fear over losing your loved one and anger that he/she will not get to an escape pod. The self-sacrificing bad ass, that's Shepard all right.
I tried out some of the renegade lines when pursuing a romance between Kaiden and my alternate Shep, Nemain. Some of the lines were fun to listen to and fit Nemain's bold, flirtatious character well. I regret not recording the flirting scenes between her and Garrus in ME2. The lighting was perfect and for once Shepard's smiles did not creep me out. If anyone is going for a flirtatious Shepard, I think Garrus or Jacob are the best choices for a romance.

I think that is a good start. I always love getting in to Shepard's head and that's exactly what you did here. It sounds like Jennifer has a lot of personal demons to deal with. Colonist/Ruthless combo seems to offer a lot to write about. I also had to chuckle there at the end when Shepard was questioning why she wrote in the third person.
I'm still trying to figure out all of my Shepard's background. She is a Spacer/War Hero and while I have a general idea, I've yet to flesh out the story.
