Since we're on the topic of femShep's appearance and mannerism, does anyone feel that there is a lot of pressure to make your Shepard conventionally pretty, and not just to others, but for yourself? I've noticed that a lot of maleShep faces are harsh, scarred, and mean looking while femShep faces steer more towards a clean, petite look (face structure 7, here's looking at you...). My point is, female faces posted on the ME2 database site are often judged by their beauty and little else. I find that bothersome.
To some degree it's a limitation of the current graphical systems that we have to work with, Video Games don't really do "Plain" or "Flawed" very well regardless of gender. The difference is largely that developers have tried to do more of these less than aesthetically pleasing faces on men as opposed to women. Someone creates a freaky ugly nasty looking ManShep people aren't bugged by it, we've all seen the pizza faced heros of Gears of War we've been conditioned to that sort of uncanny valley ugly. Women have either been sex objects or nonexistent in games up until very recently so there just isn't that kind of conditioning present, in either gaming or the larger culture.
I've done preset mods and talked to others who've done them in Dragon Age, fankly when you open your creations to the general public they want two things. Badass looking men and sexy women since the primary target is young men. It's just the way it is, they don't really want variety they want perfection. "Perfect" faces animate better and look more "realistic" in addition to being popular. It's just the way things are right now, maybe it will change maybe it won't.

Even my Shep is part of the face 7 mafia, we can't be stopped and we look damn good doing it!
