Also, I too like the email from Talitha - I really hoped she would be helped. Poor girl. I also like the email from the volus at Noveria, his whole "maybe I'm dead" thing, yeah my Shep could totally relate. ^_^

Ah-HA! There it is. The reason Kaidan always stares at femShep's bootay. Biotics = built-in shiny butt! Also, loving the bring it! pose she's got going on there.

Ahh, the joys of late-night crunches while pepped up on coffee ^_^

She's so beautiful, sagequeen! The more I see of her, the more I love her. Oddly enough I like the ME1 "biotic glow" better than the ME2.

(By the way, her portrait is coming along nicely. Just finished the final sketch. Posted Image)

Those are all really cool and a fair bit of attention to detail was paid to them, Vanguards and Sentinels don't glow as much as Adepts because they aren't as focused Biotics.

Thought that was pretty neat when I noticed it.

"Greetings." (never mind me, looking at your avatar I'm suddenly hearing the DA character creator talking, lolz).

Anyway, thanks for sayin'. :) A times I think I may be investing myself too deeply in this game, emotionally. And I know it's just pixels. Doesn't make my play-thru any less genuine, though: the game may not be real, *I* am.

Btw, your 'no name' is gorgeous!

EDIT: I suddenly realize who your Femshep reminds me of. She's a dead ringer for the highly deadly, and no less highly beautiful Miho ("Sin City").

:o

can't wait to see it! again, i'm honored.

@ ad: yes, the char creator made me try biotics and it went from there. i actually like the vanguard and infiltrator pose best of the lot, but i went back to unlock singularity and fell in love with adept.

i, too, miss the hectic FLARE of ME1 biotics. me2 don't hang the game though, so i guess that's good.

in ME3, i would love to see barrier flicker a little more though - you know, kind of give off this fire like it did in me1.

Neat idea.

I'd love for ME3 to pay more attention to Shepard's class and weapon specialization. Let Adept Shep use her biotics in cutscenes and conversations, maybe similiar to how Liara did in LotSB and ME1 when you talk to Captain Matsue on Noveria for the first time.

I roll a Singularity Vanguard, you can actually make the mixed Biotic / Combat Vanguard better at casting powers than the Adept if only because of one skill the Vanguard has that Adepts don't: Adrenaline Rush. With that if you bring Liara along you can cast 3 Singularities in rapid succession essentially creating a curtain in front of your squad that enemies can't get through. Totally busts the game and makes Insanity a cake walk but you can do it!

"Well met."

I do that too. I just get so caught up in the story and characters. So it's totally not silly!  I mean I got all choked up when meeting Shiala and Parasini. :D

Ah, I haven't read/seen "Sin City" yet -  I'm still working through Promethea.

I always feel like rolling a Vanguard with singularity is "cheating." okay, that probably sounds strange, but singularity is just so an adepts skill, it would be like running an adept with a shotty.

i guess i like to keep her a "my pistol, my powers, and my wits" sort of girl.

though adrenaline rush is mad useful. i personally find by the time i max out bastion, i've got such a crazy cooldown timer and such long-lasting biotics that it hardly matters.

but i applaud your strategy. anything that involves massive amount of singularity is awesome in my book. what else can you say about essentially creating a mini, temporary BLACK HOLE!

Thank you ELE!...that is one this that has been driving me up the wall, would love to post some of my FemShep.

BTW, I must say that your FemShep "creations" are the best I have seen, most notably Teagan.  Her face is just perfect and those eyes....just something really "captivating" about them....makes me want to invest in the PC verison.
Thank you so much  You should definitely post yours as well.
You are quite welcome!  You have quite the talent for it.  I'm not sure what it is...but Teagan gets me every time..

This one from a previous post stands out to me:  Those eyes and that look....Ye gads!..they could cut ya right down to the soul!....in a good way of course.  Don't know if I would want to end up on the wrong side of it though...:?

AkodoRyo and Chignon also have fantasticly captivating FemSheps as do several others here.   I will post a few of my FemShep when I can get some halfway decent screen caps (lousy Xbox <_<) .. but Madeline is nowhere near the calibur of Teagan, Marge or Noah..

Anywho...

I feel Earthborn only falls into the "Thug" category if you pair it with Ruthless then the label is at least logical. If only because of the way Torfan is described even in the short blurb about it, Shepard comes across as totally obsessed with wiping out the Batarian Garrison no matter the cost or how many people she sends to their deaths. Without the personal background of the Colonist story it can be difficult for people to justify such single minded obsession and brutality. She can come across as just a gangster with no morals killing for kicks because she's a sociopath, which is a really dark and deeply disturbed background to have.

Personally I like Earthborn / War Hero for the Paragon alignment and Colonist / Ruthless for the Renegade alignment.

Hee hee, my Shepard is Earthborn/Ruthless and was indeed a heartless 'Thug' for most of her life, especially during Torfan. I wouldn't say she enjoyed killing, nor did she hate it. All the deaths on Torfan really had no affect on her at the time. I believe she had slowly become desensitized to death, to killing others due to her background and experience in a very violent gang.

My Shepard didn't volunteer for Torfan, but wasn't upset she was sent there either...she really felt nothing. Early in her Alliance career, she saw herself as merely a weapon and would mercilessly kill whomever she was told to care. She didn't feel human, and didn't care. Most did see her as a sociopath, and that bad rep still haunts her even to this day.

It is a very dark background, but she has since reformed and is attempting to atone for her past misdeeds.

Yes, it was good to see Gianna Parasini again. :) I helped her this time, too. I really liked her. And Shiala, she was yet another victim; and seeing her again was a welcome event. I'm very pleased Bioware let us meet up with the important folks we once interacted with.

Now all Bioware has to do is rectify the crude and painful falling out between Shepard and Ashley/Kaidan at Horizon, and it'll be all good.

Mmm, indeed. My Shepard wants to get her friend back. I still think it's bull that Kaiden (or Ash) don't email you unless you romance them. Of course if you did romance them it's still a crappy situation esp. without a dlc to make things better. I'm lucky in that my 'canon' Shep is with Liara. (Nona is my canon)

I loved Parasini and Shiala - Shiala because damn I respect her and Parasini because she's just hilarious and reminds me of a good friend of mine. Heh.

and another pic - just because. :P

I go very Dark for Torfan too, mine doesn't just execute prisoners but also shoots subordinates for refusing to carry out suicidal attacks on the Batarians. Shooting subordinates for refusing to carry out pointless orders is something I lifted from Battlestar Galactica: Razor and Admiral Helena Cain who my Shep's personality is partly based on. She get's her ship bogged down in a pointless battle with Cylon forces, instead of retreating she orders all her Vipers into the battle. Her XO refuses to give the order, she asks for his sidearm and then shoots him in the head with it and promotes the next Officer and orders him to launch all Vipers. She wins the battle but takes massive losses in the process and cements her heartless reputation by stripping nearby civilian ships of material and personnel and leaving them for the Cylons. I really recommend watching Razor if you want to get into a Renegade Shep's mindset, since Cain is very similar to a Colonist / Ruthless Shepard. That and The Shield, fantastic writing for incredibly dark Anti-Heros!

That's interesting, I should check that out.

My Torfan vet didn't do anything like that, but she send units into Batarian compounds to provide a distraction while she planted and detonated bombs to destroy the structure, killing batarians (even some civillians) and Alliance soldiers alike.   It was the quick and easy way to get the job done.

Since they never fully show or describe Torfan I picture it more like a giant underground bunker dug into the side of a mountain and they couldn't get at it without laying waste to half the moon with mass accelerator weapons so the N7 Marines were sent in. The fighting is described as close quarters combat so I imagine a Vanguard Shepard would be ideally suited for the brutal style of fighting, killing Batarians at close range with weapons and her biotics. I think the only hard facts on Torfan are that Shepard sent 75% of her unit to their deaths and was known to have killed Batarians trying to surrender. Other than that it's a bit of a mystery, probably by design.
