You don't have to talk to her before him to hear this.  Just make sure you end the relationship with Kaidan before asking him about the Therum mission (and Liara).  I always talk to Kaidan first before Liara (after Therum and every other mission), and I've heard this dialog tons of times.

I think thats my problem. I really need to pay better attention to the dialogue options when talking to Kaidan. I always inadvertently  end up in a "relationship" with him. Well he seems to think so anyway.

I'm only about 4 hours in to this current playthough. It's not too late to restart. Since this is supposed to be my new canon I think starting over is a very good idea... Thanks for the heads up

Well I get Liara before talking to Kaiden simply because I don't want to have that conversation where it feels like no matter what I have Nona say it still seems like she's coming onto Kaiden. That's not Kaiden's fault and I really wanted the option of telling him no you really didn't get the signals mixed I totally thought she was going for you to Kai!

Felt so bad for that guy.

Your quite welcome, it's easy on PC just hit the button and you get exactly what was on the screen at that moment. So while some look like advertising and others like crap some are unintentionally funny, particularily when taken out of context. As Tali's hip to waist ratio can be very distracting even in the midst of combat:


Tali was meant for the boys but some FemSheps like it too.

It's actually Rynluna's Shepard Kathryn I just made an exportable head mesh with her face code and stuck it on my Shep's body (so to speak) since Ryn is on console and getting screenshots is a bit of a hassle for her. Plus I got to play two really awesome missions again so everyone is happy!

Here is an interesting thought: With Shepard's "rise from the ashes" via the Lazarus Projects and her "full reconstruction with synthetic-fusion" along with the "few upgrades" she mentions, What do you all believe will be her lifespan length as a result? Will she still be "fighting the good fight" and "Still savin' the Galaxy" 200 years from now while looking to be only in her early 60's?..or will she be in her enjoying her final twilight years and retirement at 150?

no - unless i'm crazy with you. which i may be. nightodie wrote this fanfic chapter about one of shep's nightmares that i loved and lifted the idea (total credit to night) for a fanfic chapter. now in my head, that is completely how the 1st convo with kaidan goes down - captain's quarters, middle of the night, half dressed. makes "do you always make a habit of getting this personal?" seem to make more sense to me. i half wish i could hack the game to transport the two of them to the other side of the wall.

and for the liara sheps, i can imagine the back room got cozy. the lighting in there is more romantic than kaidan's station anyhow. (wth is he doing there? there are chairs and a panel. what IS that thing?)

anyhow.  loving the screens and the sheps. i love this thread. go out for a few hours and come back to see new sheps and old sheps and awesome screens.

@Sage: to do with animals yes. I'm thinking 'animal charm' -turns all hostile varren/thresher maws/flesh eating pyjacks into cuddly animals...so that Shepard can blow them up without getting om nomed.

Naomi has the fox-die power, which stops regeneration at lower levels and drains life when Lvl4 is reached. Or she has nanomachines, increasing the squads health for a short period at the cost of power recharge times (body energy going to power the nanos instead you see...)

Samus has charged hand-cannon shot or can bowl things over in morphball form.

Mui unlocks explosive ammo and you finds more credits when she is in your squad.

Bastila gets battle meditation and the enemies forget to use cover as a result.

Aayla gets Kasumi-esque force sneak attack. Can hit multiple targets or give more damage to one at LVl4.

See I think of everything.  I have too much time on my hands.

I like to think that Shep will be kicking butts at 200 while looking 60 - but my Shep is with Liara so it makes it eaiser. For Sheps who romance humans (with the exception of Miri) living longer than 150 would be painful.

Huh, it's funny you bring this up because I've actually been thinking about this quite a bit for the past few days. Granted she doesn't have to sacrifice herself in the 3rd game, I think due to her enhancements, her lifespan could be longer. I think back to her conversation with Miranda. Apparently Miranda's lifespan is something like 200+ years because of all the genetic modifications she's had. I don't know how much work was done on Shepard, but I imagine it was quite extensive. So to me it only makes sense that her life would be extended as a result.

Maybe Wrex keeps falling on it and braking it? lol I have no idea. It's techy stuff. or something.

But yea I do the same add more to the conversations or just re-write it to fit my Shepard better. I don't think that's a bad thing either it's nice to read fanfic that stays true to the characters but fleshes out the world a bit.

I think the hidey hole Liara is in is nice for some more personal convos - with Kaiden and Ash it's a bit difficult because I can just see Garrus peeking over the mako to listen in on their conversations.

(By the way, Kaidan is nowhere near Garrus on the SR1 - he'd have to sneak up one deck to listen in on him and Shepard. Chakwas on the other hand ... )
