Constance Shepard.
Paragade Vanguard. Spacer and Sole Survivor. One tough lady, who happens to have a soft spot for Liara.

Thanks! The hair color is the darker blonde. It's funny, because I sort of created this character on a whim, and she's turned out to be one of my favorites.

I had that happen with my favorite Shepard too! It's funny I put real work into the face creator, flipping back and forth from slide to slide, trying to decide what would look better and that Shepard still looks bad. However just throw something together and she becomes my favorite Shep. So weird.
Darker blonde looks good, I'll have to play around with that coloring.

I always pictured my sheps 30ish.
And that's something that bothers me with the Char Creator. They all look early twenties. Specially femsheps, unless of course you go for Gollum look alike.
With maleshep was different, I actually managed to make him look a bit older. This is my only dudeShep, Machete. I don't post the image so I don't ruin this beatiful page. He's ugly.

Interesting. To me, even in the Character Creator, Shep looks to be in her late 20s. She never looked overly young to me. Maybe part of it is the voice acting, I don't know.
I agree with jib though. I always kinda figured since she died she didn't exactly age for 2 years, unlike those around her.

It’s been said many times, but I believe we will get a “good” ending, but hopefully we will have to work for it. There should be sacrifices and even suffering to get the “good” ending, but I don’t want a half naked witch coming up to my girl at the 11th hour to save her ass.
This is an idea I like. I fully agree that we should have to work for a happy ending. Nothing should be handed to us on a silver platter. I'm thinking it should be harder than say the suicide mission too. I loved it, but in the end so long as you pay attention and maintain your crews loyalty, you're not going to fail.
i like this.
i would love to see some sort of sacrifice, too, but not a cruel, "i'm pulling on your heartstrings because I CAN" one. ME1, sacrificing the alliance fleets to save the council comes to mind. that was SAD. people died. and yet, their deaths were not in vain. me2, people getting smoothied was sad, but it made the final battle more relevant. i hate to say it, but i feel like if people like anderson, hackett, shiala etc. got killed, it would be horrible but add narrative weight. i wish it were possible to save some, but you must loose others, or whatever. but again, i think it would be good to really work for it, have to find a golden path through the game to do it.
just a "ha! i SPIT on your happy ending" at the end would just be dumb. and while ME is gritty, i see it has having a more "happy ending" feel (or demographic, take your pick) than da:o.
maybe wishful thinking on my part.

29, turns 30 in first game, 32 in second? edit: well, chronologically? huh. i guess she missed those 2 years. heh, kaidan is now a cradle robber.
that's what the codex said when i read it first playthrough and i always assumed that. and idk about the sheps looking young. i think people around the age of mid 20s to mid 30s can often be mistaken for being younger than they are. take how often some of us get carded. or maybe that's just me.

Dragon Age could be down right brutal during the end game, if you don't bring the other Grey Warden with you. Everyone is talking like you're coming back and you have no option but to play along even though you are going to die, you can only tell the dog and the other warden that this is the end. Then watching your own funeral with your Warden's dead body and all your companions totally crushed and heatbroken in a crowd. Then you get the epilogue sucker punch as you find out your LI is never the same and their life is ruined, fun stuff.
I like the idea that you have to work hard for your happy ending, unlike the ME2 suicide mission where the only way it can fail is if you rush into it ASAP. Otherwise Shepard and most of your companions survive thanks to the bullet proof loyalty armour.

In ME, not so much a paragon universe is like a land of double complete rainbows, and people off all races singing kumbaya while TIM cries because no one invited him.

i dunno - according to the SB dossier, i'm sure he'll throw his own party.
but yes, ME tends to work out more often. given that they made ME2 have a possible sunshine and bunnies ending (for the ME world) i tend to think they won't pull a "pick your poison" ending for me3. heck, just compare eden prime vs. ostagaar: lose 1 red-shirted ensign, gain a marine/friend/LI, gain key by which to save the galaxy and get a sweet smile from the LT/gunnery chief vs. death all around for everyone, except, miraculously you and the other warden, and in the process, become indebted to a witch of questionable motives and values. clearly sets up the endings of save these people or these people in the process of saving everyone and NOT dying in the process vs. someone must die and so will you someday, but don't worry, we'll retcon everyone into a back place in the DLC.
edit: i don't think that made sense on ANY level. my grammar is dying fast.

I get what you're saying. Dragon Age has a real bleakness to it that really is lacking in ME. That's part of what I appreciate about ME. It's got some tough stuff, but it's no where near the level of a creepy poem chanted in the dark roads by a woman who's gone crazy in the face of rape by monsters, forced cannabalism, and the change from dwarf into broodmother....

hmmm, I understood this perfectly. What does that say about me?
ME as a whole is not as dark and depressing as DA was. At the same time, I'm more emotionally invested in Shepard. Watching her die on the Normandy was actually really hard for me to take in. Then going through all of ME2 more or less alone. I could almost take it personally. That's the one thing I really appreciate about this story. I feel like I'm very much apart of whats happening. Now I'm thinking maybe I don't make sense.

As it is, most DLC is the equivalent of paying for and ordering a whole pizza, but when the pizza is brought to your table, there are slices missing, and you have to pay by-the-slice to get the missing slices back.
DLC should be the additional slices of pizza you order after you've finished the whole pizza you bought, and were delivered.

I did that once in DA:O to get the stupid achievment. I was playing a female dwarven commoner. It was really, really bad.
And I'm saying that fully aware that I wasn't attached to my warden in the same way I'm attached to my sheps. Not even remotely.
I don't know how ME3 is going to end, but we should consider DLC. ME2 DLC is going well. Is a safe bet there will be ME3 dlcs as well.
I just hope the very last dlc won't be like "Witch Hunt"

Its so stupid to put HUGE story elements in later, or put items that should have been in the game later.
I pay full price for a book, movie, or TV Season and for games.
Yet games are the only ones that come along a few months later and say:
"Unlock extra content for only X amount of monies!"
If it was ONLY weapons and armor than I would not mind it, but when they start selling story integral content as DLC I REALLY get annoyed.
<gets off soap box>

I perceive mine to be 29-30. I think that's what it states on the ME wikia. But I don't know if that's fan created or stated in-game. Depends on the Colonist Shep--s/he was 16 when the batarians hit. So how many years after, it depends.
I always assumed mine was 29-30. I prefer my protagonists older. Heck, I hate how VG characters who are my age (21) or younger are charged with saving the galaxy.
