me2, however, just...maleshep becomes this james bond character. i remember hearing a dev refer to him as such in an interview and i was like "wha? what shep are you talking about?" bond gets many ladies, works ALONE, is not a leader of anyone, and answers to no law. while the last (and the ladies) MIGHT work for renegade shep, none of the rest did. so maleshep goes off in this bond direction and femshep ends up with having to blatantly hit on maliens or reluctant crew to get any attention. meanwhile, asari keep making suggestive remarks in her direction all the time.

Except that, LI's aside, there's no difference between MShep and FemShep in the game at all in the end. Well, except for FemShep getting the odd extra line that MShep doesn't have. And anyway, FemShep fits the "Bond" role just fine(Stolen Memories)!
