Unfortunately I have heard that thay have already come up w/ something for ME3.  I recall a thread w/ the question, "What's the first thing you want to see in ME3?" and several of the answers were character creator.

I don't mind a character creator per se, as long as they don't try and rationalize it, story-wise, like adneate said. I would just regard it as setting the overall game parameters, like sound and video, and... initial character setup. They need a facial constructor mechanism anyway, for folks who are not importing their previous character (you *are* allowing us to import an ME2 char, right, Bioware?!).

P.S. I'd say it's time for a few of your priceless captions, JamieC.

I hated the plot in ME2.
The Railroading into working for Cerberus, Human Reapers, and Plot Holes really were annoying. 

I do like the Charachters though, thats about the only thing I liked in ME2.

The thing is Shepard dying just so we could change her look? That doesn't make any sense. Here's what I never understood... If Shepard looks like a completely different person, how does everyone recognize her?  Really, adneate is spot on. By all means, have a character creator, just don't try to rationalize If I want to change Sheps hair or nose shape, I don't need it tied into the story. Or not tied in as the case may be.

I honestly cannot imagine Shepard with a different voice actor. Hale to me *is* Shepard.



As far as ME1 BFF's go... I didn't really connect with the Human crew - eventually Kaiden became something of a wingman to my canon Shep but the alien crew were my BFFs. Liara and Wrex were Nona's go to team. Wrex and Nona have similar outlooks on life and plus they just love to blow crap up. Liara is the love of her life - plus Nona has a thing for Indiana Jones and geeky girls. XD



Nona looked at Garrus and Tali as a brother/sister/mentor relationship. In ME2 Garrus becomes her BFF, not replacing Wrex, but giving her someone she could lean on. And poor Garrus, he got to hear all of her late night drunk whining about Liara. Tali is just her *sister* for life.



Don't get me wrong I don't hate the human crew members but I just found Garrus, Liara, Tali and Wrex to be so much more interesting. Virmire and Horizon *hurt* but had Virmire been choose Wrex or Liara...well yeah I wouldn't even have finished the game yet.

I LOVE that. Love it! And yes he totally sent FemShep a breeding request - it's just how the Krogan pimpmaster rolls bb. I like to imagine Wrex as like the James Bond of the Krogans. Grunt's awesome laugh at the end of it just makes it perfect.

I had no idea that Wrex was in the game (I stayed spoiler free) so seeing him on Tuchunka was just... amazing. And the Ilos soundtrack playing and the arm hug and oh man it was just so great.

I like to think that Shep goes back to see Wrex and they have one wild night full of drinking and blowing sh*t up - just like old times.

however, i there are scenes i prefer to others. the tone she hits w/ liara/kaidan/ash convos are THE BEST imo. it's that mix of authoritative, but sympathetic, maybe vulnerable, but not needy, that really works for convos. when she's out kicking butt, that voice is down, her explication voice is fine, too. but we need more of the "honestly, i'm not sleeping so well" femshep to balance out the "i promise you all: WE WILL STOP THEM!" shep

I'd say this is, in no small part, simply due to Bioware hardly having Femshep explore her emotions/traumas/things that trouble her, at all. I agree we need to see more of the other side of Femshep; I wouldn't put the onus and/or blame on Hale for that, though. Not saying that you do, btw; just saying Hale, no matter how high up my pedistal she may be, still has to follow Bioware's directions.

oh, yes, that was my point. not that hale did a bad job, but that i love her performance of particular scenes. there are a few weird lines that come to mind "What kind of complications?" when asking about L2 implants - just, delivery there is so strange for some reason. but again, probably directing and/or lifting lines that i'm sure were meant to go somewhere else ("Joker's waiting for you on the bridge," anyone? anyone?)

i never like the end of this mission, though. even though i have totally justified in my mind what decision i will make, i HATE it.

Holly Shepard.

Infiltrator and Paragon.  Colonist and War Hero.  Talented markswoman and tech expert.  Unexpectedly fell into the arms of a certain drell assassin. 


This is my original Shepard.  She has gone through several iterations since her creation in ME1.  Probably not as visually interesting as my other characters, but that's because I designed her to look like me.  She holds a special place in my heart.  Surprisingly, this face looks great in just about every shot.  Dark brown hair and the grey-blue eye color.
